Aaron bangs on the door saying he needs help. The guard comes in and Miles jumps out and kills him. Miles runs out and gets down to the kitchen, has a quick sword fight- because we need at least ONE sword fight per episode.
Charlie is brought in to see O’Halloran.
I hate heroin
She is introduced and the woman (we presume Mrs. O’Halloran) wonders if Charlie might know Becca? The wife leaves. Charlie quickly lets her hair down, holding the stick pin in her hand. O’Halloran offers her something to drink- and Charlie asks if he was a Policeman before the Black Out. O’Halloran indicates that he was, most of the O’hallorans were. O’Halloran asks her name, Charlie tells him her hame is “Sarah.” O’Halloran notices the stick pin and wants to know what she’s doing with it? Charlie covers and puts it down Miles is outside and sees Charlie with he stickpin.
Charlie asks O’Halloran about Becca. We learn that Becca is Rebecca, O’Halloran’s daughter. She ran away to Drexel’s. Jeez, she didn’t get very far. She thought the heroin biz is glamorous. Drexel put her in a dress just like Charlie’s and put a needle in her arm. O’Halloran explains Drexel was nice enough to send her body home. Yeah, he’s a real peach. By the time O’Halloran is done with Drexel he won’t be hurting any more girls like “Sarah” or Becca.
Aaron is captured. Drexel tells him “Miles left you holding the bag.”
Aaron responds “If you want to take it out on me, go ahead. But let Nora go. She has nothing to do with this.”
Some thugs march a very weak Nora out and give her a shot of pure adrenalin.
Royale with Cheese
Nora perks up, but is confused. Aaron asks “Are you going to shoot us?”
Drexel says “No, Chubs, you are going to shoot each other.”
Wha Wha WHAT?!?!
Back at O’Halloran’s, he wants to know what “Sarah” has on Drexel. Charlie asks for a drink of tea. When O’Halloran turns his back, Charlie sneaks up on him and knocks him out. Standing over O’Halloran, Charilie says “I’m sorry. I don’t have a choice. Please forgive me.” She is about to stab him with the stick pin, but a hand stops her. Miles’s hand, to be exact.
Miles says “We are leaving.”
Aaron informs Drexel “We are not doing this.”
Walk 50 paces, turn and shoot
Drexel tells Aaron that this is about survival. Whoever shoots the other will win. He promises the winner will stay alive. If Aaron and Nora both refuse, Drexel will shoot them both.
Flashback to 8 months after the black out. Aaron is trying to build a fire, but he can’t do it. ‘Cilla tells him it’s ok. Aaron laments, before the black out he spent a good part of his day trying to figure out how to give ‘Cilla everything. Now he can’t give her anything. He can’t hunt for food, he can’t keep her safe, he can’t even build a fire. ‘Cilla tells Aaron that she doesn’t care about any of that- Aaron is the only thing that matters to her.

I loved the recap, MisRed and am especially glad that Sandy only took your power. It could have been so much worse for you! Still don’t like Charlie but I like the others in the cast (well Danny, not so much, either…) It will be interesting, though, to see his reaction to his mother being free to move about enemy territory.
