I have to say, I really love this perspective on therapy. They go back into the party, where Jacquee is continuing to whine to Chris about Teresa. Rosie is happily drunk and telling everyone about it. Jacquee further debates whether to say hi to Ter or not.
Mel gets on stage to thank everyone for coming and introduces the remix of On Display. Fist pumping ensues.
Jacquee tells us she’s happy for Mel while she mopes in the corner. Caro sees it coming and she wants it to stop…but Jacquee insists on confronting Ter. Caro says that Ter could care less.
Jacquee and Ter meet somewhere in the middle of the dance floor, where they argue over who was crying harder. Ter wins with her assertion of tears exploding out of her head. Jacquee wants Ter to apologize. Ter thinks Jacquee should be the apologizer.
Then they argue over who is more hurt and disappointed. Ter wins this argument too, by mentioning that the last time she was this upset was at…THE CHRISTENING!
Jacquee persists on her stupid point, that Ter doesn’t tell her enough of what’s going on in her life. Ter tells us that Jacquee deserves a punch in the face. She’s quick to tell us that it’s “not her style” though – although it is, apparently, Jacquee’s style, who I guess at some point punched Caroline? Awesome.
Then Danielle comes up. And now, Brown Smurf and Chris are having their own sidebar fight on the same topic. They both stand up for their wives, but end sort of amicably.
Over by Caroline, she’s busy with Midge, continuing to stay out of it.
Well, that’s a ‘staying out of it’ face if I’ve ever seen one.
Jacquee and Ter are still fighting, and now Mel is complaining that they’re disrupting her party that she didn’t want.
Let’s not forget who’s on display here.
So Mel gets in on the action! She asks then what they’re fighting about. First they tell her it’s because they “don’t know each other anymore”, then it comes back to the Danielle and twitter thing. Mel starts to try to defend herself against the accusation of consorting with Danielle. Jacquee tries to talk, and Ter brushes her off with a, “I’m talking to MY sister-in-law!”
Jaquee sulks back to Caroline, and starts spewing more and more venom about how manipulative Ter is and how Jacquee sees exactly who Ter is. All I ever did was care about her, and she lies to my face, snaps Jacquee, followed by the ever articulate. ”She’s fake, fake, fake!”
Over by Ter and Mel, Ter is telling Mel that Danielle said that Mel was reporting back to her. Two years ago. Which given the space-time continuum issue with this season of RHONJ, was probably….1976?
Jacquee is still bitching about Ter. Now it’s that Ter only ever liked Jacquee because she put her up on a pedestal. Then she makes fun of the $11 million Guidice debt.
Back to Ter and Mel – they are having a heated conversation. Mel is annoyed because Ter is always saying that they shouldn’t talk about the past, but not when it’s about Mel’s past.
And Mel admits to talking to Danielle! ”We hated each other at the time,” Mel informs Ter by way of explanation. Ter, of course, denies that it’s ever been anything but peace and butterflies between sister-in-laws.
Jacquee is ordering up shots, and being consoled by some drunk lady with a bad perm who is desperate for a cameo in this mess.
Drunk lady with a bad perm.
Jacquee continues to whine and complain, now that she’s lost her best friend. And Ter is already moving on to Mel, who she has actually forgiven for talking to Danielle back in the day! Ter basically says that even though she still thinks Mel is horrible, she’s an important piece of the puzzle with her brother so she’s forgiving her.
And at the end of the party, drunk Rosie is encouraging everyone to love each other and get back to basics. ”I love these people,” slurs Rosie, before entering into some kind of makeout session with Brown Smurf.
Ter tells us that she has not changed at all, besides, if anything, becoming more understanding. I love this lady. Mel says that she is optimistic that Ter has re-joined the family because she loves them and not because she now hates Jacquee and Caro.
Meliss – I mean, Caroline – is such a bitch!
Next week…it’s time for therapy where Midge will learn that everything is his fault, and all blood-feuds shall resume!
