MJ tries to put together a desk, so she can work from home. The desk pieces end up in a pile in the middle of her living room and a wine glass perishes in the process.
This week’s family dinner takes us to Mike’s parents’ house. His brothers are there too, as well as his friend, Shizzy. Mike breaks the news that he is leaving commercial real estate for residential. Saroor, his mother, tells him that he does not have the patience or hustle to sell houses. Also, he will have to deal with women. Ha! Mike assures his family that he has “the balls” to make it in residential real estate, and he is going to prove it to them. I am shocked that Mike is going against the advice of his mother.
MJ is getting ready for Tehran’s party. She explains that he is not her actual cousin, they are just very close. She is nervous about seeing Reza, as this is the worst fight they have ever had.
Persian Cher’s hair and make-up people have arrived at her apartment to get her all sexified for the party. She usually uses them two or three times a week. What the fuck?
Reza, PC, and Yassa arrive to the bar first. Mike strolls in with…SAMMY from season one! Asa is next, and PC introduces her to her sister. There is ONE nice thing I can say about Asa, she is open-minded when meeting new people. I never thought that Persian Cher and she would be friends. Omid walks in, and I can only imagine the conversation he had with the person that invited him. “We are freezing GG out. I know you and her are doing the sex, but do you think you can keep this party a secret from her? She scares the wait staff.” Asa pulls Reza off to the side to tell him that her Fashion Week gig fell apart. She is totally broke. Has she forgotten about the 30k she has buried in her backyard?
MJ and her friend, Marsha, arrive to the party late. Reza is immediately annoyed and rolls his eyes. The tension is palpable as Tehran introduces MJ to the other guests. MJ makes her way over to Reza to say hello. He is upset that she is acting like things are semi normal between them. She continues her path of destruction over to Persian Cher where she makes a back handed comment about her dress. It is all very childish, but instead of being the bigger person, PC tells MJ she should have worn a completely different dress altogether. Sigh. For some reason, MJ is offended that PC would call her out, even though she literally just did the same thing. Asa asks MJ if she and Reza need to talk things out. Sammy pipes in and tells Asa to shut her pie hole. Reza and MJ have been friends for twenty years. That is a lot of animosity and they are all going to need at least three more drinks if they are going to have to listen to those two bitches fight. Reza decides to make an uncomfortable situation worse by telling Omid he is great to hang out with sans GG. Omid apologizes to Asa and Persian Cher for the things he said at the dinner party. They accept and with that, Omid cements his place in the season two cast. Reza thinks this is an appropriate time to toast his favorite people, Persian Cher, Omid, Mike, and Asa. MJ can’t take it anymore, so she walks out of the bar, leaving her friend behind to fend for herself. Poor Marsha. Sammy has been missing his camera time, so he confronts Reza about his treatment of MJ. Reza pulls PC into the conversation. PC says that MJ is always rude to her, and always makes unfriendly comments to her. Reza says Sammy needs to mind his own business because he has not been around. Asa jumps in and tells Sammy that MJ has changed since she started hanging out with GG all the time. Reza gets frustrated and leaves the restaurant because that is what he does every time he is accosted with a problem. Tehran’s small party is ruined by these fucktards.
“Please let me have this. I haven’t been on t.v. in months.”
