Maybe Meri never thinks about it, but guess who cops to wishing Kody could be with her and her kids full time? CHRISTINE, a.k.a. the unhappiest Sister Wife in all the land (at least for the past year). To ward off the depressing reality of having ¼ of a husband, she reminds herself of all the blessings in her life, specifically the fact that she gets to be a mom 17 times over without having had to give birth 17 times.
Even if she has these thoughts, Christine maintains that she would not have it any other way. Of course not. Again, you start thinking about other ways and your own life starts to look crappy, depressing and lonely.
“When I really miss Kody, I recite the names of all the kids in the reverse order they were born, or sometimes in alphabetical order. It also helps when I want to throw a flaming bag of feces at Robyn’s front door. I’M SO LUCKY!”
Question #8! Do the Browns believe it’s in using protection because it would seem they do not thanks to their faith and their kazillion kids. Janelle and Kody feel it’s too personal to answer on TV, and Meri explains that each couple makes their own decision about whether or not to use birth control and they keep that to themselves. I think the question is asking about their faith and what their faith mandates about birth control, but obviously this is a topic is a trap since protection = people having sex for the sake of sex = Kody is getting hot and heavy with someone else. Then you start thinking about how often he does it with the other wives, if he likes the other wives better in that department, etc., and that’s clearly not a road these folks want to go down.
As far as procreation goes, Kody says each wife gets to choose how many children she has…except for Meri of course because she only got one. Then Robyn loudly adds “Whatever! I’ve given her a choice!” and all I can think is WHAT. THE. FUCK? ULTRASUPERMEGABITCHSLAP!
Can we just take a time out here and talk about this? At the end of last season, Robyn told Meri in PRIVATE (or at least without the family around) that she was willing to be a surrogate for Meri. At the time, I was moved by Robyn’s offer and how it seemed to be the ultimate bestie offer. FAST FORWARD to the last episode and she brings it up in conversation with Christine. That was pretty annoying, but THIS? Loudly declaring that YOU have given Meri a CHOICE? I’m sorry, I thought this was (a) private, (b) something you were giving Meri “space to consider” and (c) NOT ABOUT YOU.
Look, I get that Robyn is willing to rent out her uterus for Meri and hey, maybe she’s just super excited about it. It’s just that when you care about someone, you generally don’t find any excuse ever to bring up the thing that they are most sensitive about. So either she’s completely devoid of tact (possible) or she wants to constantly advertise how BRAVE and GENEROUS and THOUGHTFUL she is by reminding the world how she’s offered to carry Meri’s baby (possible AND probable).
Bottom line: they’re going to plead the fifth about birth control and move on. Oh, and did you know Robyn offered to be Meri’s surrogate? Because she did. Robyn would carry a baby for Meri. She really, really would. She has offered, and it’s up to Meri, but SHE WOULD TOTALLY CARRY A BABY FOR MERI. Is that enough attention for you there, fourth wife?
Meri is using the iPad to Google tips on how to avoid strangling your sister wife when she overshares on your behalf
What question are we on? #9? Am I really too lazy to scroll up on this document as I write? YES. Question #whatever! How do the wives keep their emotions in check? The lady who submitted the question would be crazy jealous if someone else was doing her husband! Kody reads the questions and starts to answer before realizing that he has absolutely nothing to offer in this discussion and hands the iPad of questions off to Meri. If the question-writer watches the show at all, then she has to realize that they are crazy jealous and they just bury it as far down as they possibly can while distracting themselves by trying to make tank tops layered over long sleeves shirts happen or making crafts.
