Supergirl is coming to town– and television– when Smallville returns to the CW this fall.

Supergirl, aka Kara Zor-el, is Clark Kent’s cousin, born on Krypton and possessing all the powers he has, but for one:She can’t fly.

She’ll apparently be a love interest for Jimmy Olsen.

Smallville, the DC comics spinoff returns for a seventh season, Thursdays at 8.

Casting is underway for the Supergirl role. What do you bet they pick a British actress, as producers already have for NBC’s already-ridiculed Bionic Woman and Sarah Connor in Fox’s Terminator spinoff?
