Sons of Anarchy: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Bodily Fluids!

Nero’s visiting his old crew,

but unfortunately, none of them remember the secret vato handshake.

Nero kills two of them but they claim ignorance of Jax’s kidnapping even after his threats and murder.  He leaves and tells them they wanted him back, and now he’s back.  I don’t know if I like this wild and crazy Nero.

Jax is sitting in a small room, tied to a chair.  He smiles in relief when Romeo and Luis walk in, telling him the kidnapping was just a ploy to get him to reconsider giving up muling for the cartel.  Jax tells Romeo and Luis that’s he has set them up with Lin as a new provider for guns, which is great since Galen would have bailed on the idea of providing guns to the cartel sooner rather than later.

The potato eater has a huge problem with beaners.

Romeo and Luis reluctantly agree to Jax’s new plan and decide to release Jax.

At church, Jax is laying it all out, telling the members that RICO would have killed all the charters of the club and setting up the deal with Lin (guns) and the Mayans/Niners (Galindo’s coke) releases them from the drug and gun running, if the club members agree.  He lets them know that they’ll all take a pay cut getting away from the illegal stuff, but once Diosa and few things are up and running, they’ll be solid once again.

Good, ’cause it’s getting expensive replacing all these cars and bikes we keep wrecking each episode.

They vote to leave the guns and drugs behind, and the motion passes unanimously.  As he’s getting congratulated in the club bar, Jax whispers to Gemma to take Clay home to her house and keep him there until he calls her.  He tells Chibs, Juice and Bobby to come with him when he sees Gemma leading Clay out.  Tig asks if Jax needs him, too.  Jax says “not yet” and asks if Tig still loves him.  Then he kisses him on the cheek, which, if I remember from The Godfather correctly, means that Tig will be biting the bullet soon.

At St. Thomas, Tara is walking down the hall after picking up the boys from daycare.  She walks right by Donal Logue, who gets up and follows her out of the hospital as she passes by.

At Gemma’s, she’s giving Clay his cortisone shots for his arthritis and he asks her about Nero.  She tells him it was never anything real and it still isn’t.  Juice calls Clay’s phone for the fourth time, but he ignores it again.  Clay tells Gemma he loves her and she chokes out an “I love you, too.”

I can still love you if you’re six feet under, which is preferable.

I think the actress who played the nurse is Donal Logue’s real life sister. So I guess, he is also portraying her brother here. And I’m a little confused about the whole documents situation. If these documents could prove, that Clay is Jax’s Dad – why would Gemma help Jax to find those documents? That wouldn’t help her building a better relationship with her son again.
To the Bobby-Clay situation: a lot of people are speculating that JT isn’t dead. Maybe the whole death situation was a setup to let JT walk away from the club without any harm and Bobby is one of the very few who know about this. Maybe he wants to protect Jax to kill Clay over something that never happend. Clay has done all kinds of wrong, but killing JT might not be one of those things.

I think Donal Logue’s character is related to the nurse that Otto killed..they both were listed with the same last name in the credits. Thanks for the recap..the show is so violent but your recaps make me laugh!
I wonder if Jax is going to try and save Tig from Pope ..can’t wait for this Tuesday!

I don’t think JT is alive, because I think Maureen over in Ireland would be aware of that. I can’t belive that if Clay was Jax’s father that they would have put it on the birth certificate so not sure what else that paperwork will prove. (beside the tie to the Nomads)

I agree with you, Violet, they wouldn’t be so stupid to put Clays name on those birth certificates if he was Jax’ real father.
I also think, the father-son storyline is a distraction from something else. There are hints since Season One, that Clay MIGHT be Jax’ biological father. But this season is really rubbing it in. So I think, it would to obvious to take that road. It is getting tiresome just like the whole paperwark storyline in general. Really? There is no other way to prove (or at least convince everyone) that Clay was behind the home invasions? Okay, it took a complete stranger to point it out to Jax that he should be looking inside the club. Is it just me or would an earlier seasons-Jax have been smarter and figured it out by himself?

But I’m not so sure about JT. If he isn’t dead and he was able to walk away from the club, maybe he wanted to cut off all the ties to it – even Maureen. Maybe that was even a requirement. I’m just grasping at straws here. This season is so confusing and I’m trying to put some sense into it – for my own inner peace.
If Jax is smart he will convince Clay to kill Pope (promising to step down as president or whatever …). This way he will have his revenge for Opie and, because of Pope’s own kind of life insurance, he would also get rid of Clay. And if he kills Clay in the aftermath of Popes death, Jax would also be rich…

There is a spoiler on the EW recap that says who Donal Logue’s character is in case you can’t wait.
I wonder what Jax is going to do about Tig, their exchange this week made my stomach turn… “Still love me Tiggy?” ACK! Can’t wait for next week.

I really hope that Clay isn’t Jax’s bio father, but there are too many context clues to ignore!

Can’t believe Gemma told Nero she lived him. I live their storyline and I hope K. Sutter keeps it going into next season.

Greenmonster – I agree with you. If John is still alive, he would probably have to cut ties with everyone, including Maureen. Maybe if she knew he was alive, it would put her in danger.
