I think we can all say that the first weekend of the 2006 Men’s NCAA tournament had an excellent first weekend. Although I didn’t get to watch nearly as many games as I would have liked, and my boys from Syracuse were unceremoniously bounced in the first round, there has been a lot of great basketball. Most of the games were within ten points, and there have been plenty of upsets and lots of exciting finishes.

I’m a George Mason alum, so I’m pretty excited about that. Plus I live in DC, so I’ll be at the game on friday. Yay!
On the flip side, I didn’t pick Mason beating UNC so my bracket’s been all shot to hell.
Oh yeah my brackets are shot to hell. I am pleased with all the upsets. How about Winthrop almost cleaning Tennessee’s clock?? BC took how many OTs to beat Pacific? Good TV!
