survivor12contestWell everybody, last night was the premiere of Survivor 12 AKA Survivor: Panama: Exile Island. I had no clue that Survivor was starting last night, so I didn’t get a chance to preview the cast or do my customary Survivor Pick ‘Em last week. I can’t punish the loyal readers by not having a contest, so we’ll still have the contest, although the suspense factor will be ratcheted down a touch since we already know the first person who was voted off last night. Overall, I really liked the first episode, and the Exile Island is a good idea that I think will add a nice touch, mainly because it increases the chances somebody goes completely crazy. Since some people haven’t seen it or are waiting for the recap, please refrain from discussing the show in the comments on this post. But feel free to make fun of the cast as you see fit.

2. Choose the three people you think will finish first, second, and third overall. (Remember one person has already been voted off.)

3. E-mail your answers to survivor@tvgasm.com with the subject “Survivor Predictions”.

Entries must be received by Thursday, February 9th at 8PM Eastern. Winner (to be decided at the end of the show) gets one free item from the TVgasm store. Good luck!

    OMG! Cirie or however you spell her name, did she not know that she was going to be on TV? How ’bout bringing a shirt that keeps those bosoms covered sister? Thank God for the blurring or I’d have to poke my eyes out!

    I can’t believe how stupid the old women were last night! They are probably the weakest of the 4 teams and yet, right at the beginning of the game, they vote out their strongest player. After such a dumb move I predict their team will be wiped out in the next few weeks.
    At 35 I would probably be considered an “old woman” but my god I would have played it smarter than that. Kudos to Cirrie for saving her own ass though.

    Wow. You really are bored today, and prompt. I just remember my girl zoobabe was all up in arms about it a while back. Don’t bother looking it up on my account.
    How does the chat thing work? For future reference, since I have to watch Dave Chappelle on Oprah today.
    I don’t want to spoil the recap so I am uncharacteristically restraining myself. We did name Shane “Tommy Lee” and Tina “Dog the Bounty Hunter’s wife”.

    Oh my gosh, I am thrilled there are other people who picked up on the Tommy Lee vibe! I showed his picture to a co-worker, and she “didn’t see it”, but seriously, that was the first thing I thought!

    I’ll wait for the recap before I discuss it too much, but those ladies DID make a dumb move. Even Probst was flabbergasted by it.

    I’m with derdle – absolutely crushed that I was wasting my time doing lame stuff like working and being in meetings and missing out a TVGasm chat. What’s the opposite of a TVGasm? Cuz whatever is the opposite word – that’s how I feel now.

    Yeah, I’m sorry I didn’t give more notice, it was a spur of the moment thing as I was writing the post. We probably have to do it during the day so we don’t interrupt work schedules, but if enough people are interested for a weekend chat, I’ll see what the other writers are doing.

    How can you post something about Survivor and not expect us to comment on it? How agonizing! I just have one thing to say about Shane/Tommy Lee-why would you go on this show with a three-pack-a-day smoking habit? Now that would be agonizing.

    They used to let the smokers wear nicotine patches so they wouldn’t flip out (Marilyn from Survivor Australia said so). Maybe they don’t now. Either way- he knew he was going so he should have quit BEFORE the filming started. I like him though (I think he’s kinda cute). He should stop whining about being with the “old” men and try to fit in though, b/c the young men don’t seem to have it together as much as the oldies.

    Survivor Tip- If you have Ginormous Grandmother Boobs (as opposed to Pamela Anderson boobs), invest in a proper fitting bathing suit or top for the show.

    Oh my God derder, your like a rabid woman! “How bout right now?!?!?” I finally got signed up to AIM. After my first 10,001 screen names were already in use I became “beyondirritated” and that’s only because “soirritated” was already taken. I swear I’m gonna get all the Lizardqueens together for a battle royale. The last girl in the ring gets exclusive rights to the nickname.

    Lizardqueen, all the screen names I wanted were taken too so I resorted to a drugstore flyer for a name. Can you believe cloroxwipes was taken?? I am now omega3glow on AIM.

    About survivor, that smoker should have quit at least a month before he went. The first month smoke free is hell, now he is going to go through hell hot, wet, hungry and tired as well. Oh well!

    What do you mean “add you right now”? Do we add friends to the AIM thing? (sorry, forgive me, but I am AIM ignorant). and derder was taken, too- I was pissed. So my AIM is derderling (not to off, though).
    So how in the heck does this work, anyway? beyondirritated (lol) emailed me today asking me if I knew, but, alas, I know nothing.
    let me know bigassstinkycheese and Tinkie, are you still tinkerbellapixie? God, we are all such a bunch of LOSERS!!
    By the way, day 4 of non-smoking for me-it hasn’t even been in the slightest bit difficult (but I am wearing the patch and I haven’t had any alcohol- that might make it more difficult as I like a ciggy-butt with my Apple marini’s). Smoke-free, That’s Me!!!

    Cloroxwipes. Sounds like we’re not the only ones to get frustrated. I always worry that some simpleton will mistake those Clorox wipes for the ass wipes that are so popular. Bigassstinkycheese is great. The assier the better.

    Now how do we chat? I didn’t see where you can make a room or add friends.

    Def props to derder for not smoking! I’m gonna try and quit soon myself, but I know better than to go cold turkey w/out any nicotine replacement. Last time I tried that way I couldn’t stay awake. I just need to wait until my Steelers win the Superbowl today b/c there’s no way I can get through a Steelers game w/out wanting to smoke, and this is the biggest one ever!
