Teen Mom: Minicap

This episode of Teen Mom has solidified Maci’s bitchiness.  Ryan and his family are supposed to have Bentley for a full week while they go on vacation, but Maci foils those plans by inviting herself and her gaggle of friends along for the ride.  Kyle doesn’t care if Maci goes there, because he’s busy going to a car show with friends.  That relationship seems so serious and mature.

I’m so worn out from snacking…er…taking care of Leah.

Gary has to go see his lawyer to figure out how to get permission to take Leah with him to visit Amber for their “therapeutic session”.  We don’t get to see it this episode, but I’m quite sure it’s going to be really healthy and calm.  Amber still seems really drugged up and is hardly able to express her excitement over getting to see Leah for the first time in over 4 weeks.  It seems so strange to me that she’s in rehab anger management, but acts as though she’s done nothing but smoke the ganja all day.

Catelynn and Tyler truly make us all proud by graduating.  Catelynn’s dad and little brother come up from Florida and April shockingly attends without issue.  Tyler’s mom comes, but sadly Butch is still in the hooscow and will not get out until the day after graduation.  Tyler tries to put on a happy face despite his dad always failing to be there for him, but you can tell he really is hurt.  Learning that Catelynn’s little brother was paralyzed in a car accident a few years ago just makes me even more impressed with her ability to handle the life that has been handed to her.

Farrah and Sophia arrive in Florida and meet up with Michael.  Farrah rolls her eyes and snaps at Michael every time he tries to say anything to her, no matter how innocuous.  I’ll have to watch it a few more times, but I”m pretty sure she never once thanked him for the billion hour drive from Iowa (or Nebraska or wherever the hell they live) to Florida.  I hate her so.  They’re in Florida for less than a week when Farrah makes the wisest decision she can – she buys another puppy.  She tries to blame it on Sophia, but all Sophia really wanted was an easy-to-care-for Betta fish.  She tells the pet store chick that she had another dog, but it refused to be house trained.  We all saw how hard she worked at that.  Kinda’ how hard she works at being a decent person with a positive attitude.

I’ll report back in with the full recap soon.  Until then, catch up with my recap of the season premier episodes.

Hi, there!  About me...well, let's see.  I like to think of myself as an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, shrouded in a mystery.  Sometimes my personality doesn't even reconcile in my own head.  I'm a really caring and sensitive person, but I have a dark, dry, sarcastic sense of humor which tends gives the impression that I have no soul.  I am married to a great guy who shares my sense of humor and we have a son who, both fortunately and unfortunately, has his mother's personality.   I'm an independent contractor who works from home and keeps the kid all day, everyday.  I've loved to write my whole life and have big, never-to-be-achieved dreams of one day writing a book.  My favorite past time is laughing, which is what brought me to this site.  I can laugh at almost anything, so beware.

Is Gary housebroken? ‘Cause he looks like a “poop behind the sofa until you get caught” type of dog to me….

I hate Maci and her selfishness. I could have SWOWN I heard “fish’ several times come out of Olivia’s mouth, I also heard ‘fishy’ and her answering NO to a dog. What the hell is Amber on in ‘Anger Management’ and was I the only one who cried like a baby when Tyler and Catelyn walked across the stage.

They shot her full of Thorzazine. If you adjust it for bodyweight, that shit will put a rhino down for a 4′ o clock nap. It’s what they use on NeNe Leakes when she gets a little out of control during the RHOA reunions. One dart in the ass, and Miss Andy is safe from being trampled.

Farrah makes me sick! She tells Michael he is driving for 5 days dragging her crap while she flies…..then she treats him like shit! She tells her mom “fuck you” and hangs up on her. Then buys another dog she will not take care of properly….if she could not bother to housebreak a dog while she lived in a house, there is no way she will be taking her lazy ass downstairs every hour so the puppy can pee outside. So- it will mess in the apartment, she will hit it and complain what a bad dog it is. This is the same dumb bitch that held a puppy over a toilet expecting it to use it. I really despise her.

Maci’s face is just gross! Please! She should be as concerned about her skin as much as she is concerned about Ryan’s social life. Ryan’s mom was way nicer about Maci invading their vacation than I would be! Tell Maci to stay away! Let them enjoy their grandchild without her nonsense.

Maci and Farrah have a hard reality headed their way when this money train leaves the station…..they both need to grow up and quit being such entitled bitches.

Seriously this was one of Farrah’s brattiest episode yet. The editors even seem to hate her, every single scene she was in, she was vile. She’s that awful person who buys pet store puppies and abandons them once they aren’t little and cute or have a health issue. And Sofia’s already got a mouth on her!!

Farrah: All around fail. I thought it was so funny that Sophia kept asking for a fish and Farrah was like “Nope we are getting another dog.” I don’t know why she thinks more responsibility is what she needs right now. Plus we are a fish household and so I was like “Let her have the fish!”.

Don’t flame me, but Farrah and her mother remind me of my mom and myself. We love each other and are super close. She is the world’s best grandmother. But, we bitch at each other constantly. My mom does the whole freaking out over something little or telling me to watch my kids at the park like I am some kind of moron, so then I yell at her and get snotty. That is how we do. Both are to blame. I guess the difference is I am an adult and don’t need her help, while Farrah might need it.

Honestly, Farrah is very calm and a good mom to Sophia when it is just them. They seem happy at least.

Catelynn: Very proud of her and Tyler for graduating and being so mature. April seemed sober and happy. I was proud of her too. I hope she keeps it up. She was downright chipper. I actually liked that April. No surprise with Butch, but Tyler is wise beyond his years in how he has already resigned himself to not expect much from his father and learn to be happy in spite of that.

Amber: Hot mess. I feel bad for Gary’s mom. She was making so much sense and Gary was not hearing it. Amber’s brother sounds like he got out of that house okay. He might be the only one.

Maci: Oh dears. So this Florida trip where she is only going because she misses Bentley so much and wants to see him turned into her beer bonging, booty dancing, skimpy bikini trip we all heard about in the tabloids. Classy. She was in no condition to babysit.

Also I love how her and her friends were all plotting to mess with Dallas. Yeah Maci sure you don’t still want Ryan….. Then she dares criticizes Ryan for taking this new GF on vacation when she freaking moves in with a guy just about that quickly. Plus Dallas is prettier than her. Uh ohs spaghetti Os! She actually looks like a prettier Maci with better skin. I feel bad for Ryan. He is really trying to be nice to Maci but you can tell he practically loathes her at this point.

Plus She thinks his parents still like her. I don’t think they do. I think they don’t want drama with you and they don’t want you cutting off Bentley access. They like the new girl and they are pushing Ryan for full custody so they don’t have to deal with you anymore. I don’t think they like you as much as you think they do. They still have pictures of you up because their son is in them and their grandchild is in them.
I do respect that that clan keeps it civil for Bentley’s sake. The one who actually starts all the drama usually is Maci herself. Everyone else tries to play nice.

I seriously do not blame Debra for punching Farrah in the mouth. Everything about that brat makes me want to kick her. Moli- I totally agree that Sophia is picking up her mother’s snotty behavior. I do think that crew hates her, too, and considering the people the MTV camera people have to deal with, that’s really saying something.

I wish Gary (and Amber before she went to jail) would put some PJ’s on Leah. I don’t know why, but the scenes where she is in bed or about to go to bed and just laying around in a diaper just bug me. Maybe that is a common thing in the midwest though. I live in Idaho … and even in the summer the evenings get cool. Jammies are needed to help keep little tikes warm at night. I remember a scene from last season that there were no sheets on her crib and it was full of stuffed animals. These little things really bug me. I don’t know why, it just does.

Lurker I have to tell you, most of us in my family HATE pj’s. Bedtime wear was usually underwear and undershirts. The only time I talked back to my Grandmom was due to her trying to force me to wear them. I baffled how people can sleep in clothes,it seems like it would be terribly hot.

In Farrah’s defense, her parents are helicopter parents and are very passive aggressive and annoying, but so are just about everyone’s parents. She needs to learn how to grit her teeth and smile when they irritate her, then have a glass of wine and vent to a friend or a sibling after they’re gone.

So proud of Cate and Tyler!

Maci – geez it’s one week out of the year, let Ryan have his vacation with his son and enjoy some childfree time with your friends and family.

Amber – Poor Leah. That’s about all I can say.

I used to be team Maci I thought she was the best mom in the beginning, but now she’s coming off as manipulative and immature. I don’t blame Farrah’s mom for punching her in the face either…I mea I was pobably similar to Farrah as a teenager (except the whole getting knocked up part) my mom was super strict and we bumped heads often but now that I have children of my own I realize how my behavior often was wrong and I am truly sorry for that. Unfortunately Farrah hasn’t realized the same.

Fortunately, once Maci’s MTV money is gone, it’ll be unlikely that she’ll invite herself on Ryan’s family vacation. Maci, that was disrespectful, rude, & disgusting!

RE: Leah’s jammies – I know in Ohio (and Indiana will probably be similar), in the summer when you don’t have central air, the only way to sleep is in your undies or the skimpiest jammies you can find. If it cools down in the middle of the night, you can throw a sheet over yourself.

Seriously – what is Maci’s problem? I feel bad for any girl that has the audacity to date Bentley because Maci will probably be tagging along on their dates, too. If you don’t trust Ryan with your kid, perhaps you should have thought about that before you got knocked up. If they agreed to Ryan having an entire week with him in the summer, he can go to court if she doesn’t honor that – which she isn’t. Unless you consider “inviting yourself on your ex-boyfriend’s family vacation because you don’t want to leave your kid with them that long” complying with that order. And she *totally* should be upset about the new girlfriend and she should *totally* spend hours discussing it with her “hey-we’ve-dated-for-a-minute-and-a-half-let’s-move-in-together” live in boyfriend. And if you didn’t know – that was sarcasm. =)

I’m about 52% on Team Debra/Michael. It would be higher if they didn’t raise that wench. I’m not saying Farrah isn’t a good mom – Sophia is still alive (and I’m willing to overlook the whole “your kid wants a fish so let’s buy a dog” thing because it’s going to bite her in the ass hard), but she is so rude and disrespectful. I don’t think her parents are trying to hover or smother – I think they are the voices of experience and reason and are trying to help but it is hard to do when you are talking to someone that believes she knows everything. And I love Debra big time for pointing out that those classes Farrah is taking could have been taken anywhere. Plus, I thought she was going to culinary school or something – what’s with the boring classes?

Yay Tyler and Catelynn. You are clearly too adjusted to be on this show, but you know you need to save money for college so you keep on keeping on. Good for you guys.

As usual, Catelynn and Tyler are awesome. I was happy to seem them have such a great graduation day. Tyler was understandably disappointed that Butch couldn’t be there, but let’s face it–if he had been there, the day probably wouldn’t have been as happy and drama-free.

Farrah–yikes. I won’t even get started on buying a puppy mill puppy from a pet store, or the fact that she has no business getting a dog, as she has demonstrated that she has no clue or sense of responsibility when it comes to pet ownership. Not that her parents are perfect people, and her mom is manipulative as hell, but must everything that comes out of her mouth broadcast what an ungrateful, snotty little brat she truly is?

Don’t hate me, though, but those shots of Sophia playing with that puppy were absolutely adorable. Lord knows it won’t last, though.

Amber–It makes my brain hurt to even attempt to process that situation.

Maci–Wow. Just wow. I used to think she was one of the better moms as well, but that decision to horn in on the family vacation? Really? I think my favorite thing was Kyle’s face when she “nonchalantly” suggested that she might go to Florida, too. I got the impression that car show or not, he wanted no part of that situation. In addition to wanting to screw things up for Ryan and the new girlfriend, she is so desperate to keep Bentley as dependent on her as possible. In the past episode, when Kyle dropped him off at the daycare without incident, she was clearly upset that Bentley might actually be able to be okay without her. Blech. Also, Maci, it’s called Proactiv, and also not piling on heavy layers of foundation. Maybe they’ll give you an endorsement deal.

I’ve heard people complain about them keeping Catelynn and Tyler on. Maybe not here so much. But lots of places around the internet.

I’m so glad they did though! Because look at everything up through this season so far.

All the girls that kept their babies are train wrecks. With a hot mess for a life.

Catelynn and Tyler are the only OG Teen Moms that picked adoption. And they’re riding down the road with wind blowing their hair. On their way to walk in their graduation! And talking about how excited they are about getting started with their lives.

Even though the way they grew up you’d think they’d be the hottest messes of all.

I also am glad that adoption got some good publicity and exposure. I hate that often times when a girl gets preggo she acts like she has only two options-abortion or keeping it. Not true. There is a third option that is the best option most likely. It needs more exposure!
