Minicap: The River

The River

Wow, the magic’s definitely out there tonight with a return to the fun thriller/horror mix I haven’t seen since the first night of the series.  This is an episode I’m looking forward to watching again, with some great character development, no ridiculous injuries and just one series Cliché:  Only Jahel pays attention to what’s really going on.

Fear not friends, I’m sure I’ll find some preposterous details upon second or third viewing.  Why does the TV crew get lazy drunk while the rest of the crew gets adventurous?   I like a happy middle:  loud karaoke and sloppy dancing but I always pass out AFTER getting home for the night.

Not to ‘spoil’ too much, but we get the reveal of another Lena’s father’s fate, a cursed ship with some fun secrets and Lincoln is definitely becoming as self-absorbed as his father.  Eat your heart out, Orlando Bloom!  Lee Tergesen is more than just a pretty face…he can act too!

What did you think about tonight, Gasmii?  Which lure would you fall for?  Is Jonas going to steal Lena’s heart in the end?  Is Jonas a doomed pothead who will always lead Lena into danger?  Did you forget about Russ too, and feel a little guilty?  How much should I read into the ship name Exodus?  Why am I only speaking in questions?

I’ll be back with a full recap in a few days, but in the meantime please check out last week’s recap of A Better Man, and leave some comments with your observations too!

CannedGinger is a techie by day, and TV binge watcher by night.  She can't resist most crap Bravo throws at the audience, and prefers Conan to Leno.  If you are one of her customers calling for support, she'll be listening to WTF on the iPod in one ear -- but you might not be able to tell.  She prefers cats to people most days, because they're more honest.  Bring on the worst TV you can imagine, and she will just enjoy it more since she grew up on a steady diet of MST3K and cheese.  Umm...nice stilton!
