Hello Gasmii! I told you I’d get the minicap up lickity split, are you excited? ARE YOU!
Well you should be because tonight is about the Taste, and nothing but the taste. Did you know that it’s all about the Taste? Because it is!
Um, did someone say this was about the taste? I’m confused as to what this show is about . . . could you be clearer? Thanks.
Well, this hour is where the judges pick the final members of their team and I have to say I am LOVING where this is going. We seem to get a lot of professional chefs getting booted on their ass tonight and I’m not sure if it’s because their food sucks, it’s over complicated or the judges are feeling pressure to choose THE PERFECT one to complete their team.
I find myself really rooting for likeable people and cheering when the cocky ones are booted off. And the judges continue to be gracious and full of advice and encouragement – when needed.
Hmmm, le confused
I have to say that I think this is the part of the show that I enjoy the most. There’s positive feedback and real possibility of seeing people learn new technique and grow and really advance in the culinary world through this experience.
Also, my money is on a home cook winning this thing. I have a theory that some chefs are overly confident and may not be willing to just learn instead of charging ahead with their own idea and just thinking “outside of the box.” However, a home cook may just be open minded enough to follow instructions and really take the weird spoon trophy home.
What did you think Gasmii? Too positive, too many backstories, not enough yelling? Is Ludo too cocky or is that part of his charm? Is Malarkey intimidated? Is Nigella just luminous? And could Tony BE any cooler?
I hope to get the full recap up in the next few days, in the meantime read my recap of last week’s two hour mondo-episode here!
