Trumped! Rosie takes the high road

The Apprentice

Big fat loudmouth Rosie O’Donnell may have started the fight with Donald Trump, but she wisely refused to escalate it this morning from her bully pulpit on The View. We’d guess her people convinced Rosie that in a rare instance, she’s getting some sympathy, thanks to Donald’s surprisingly, ungentlemanly, unsportsmanlike, undignified and TVgasmic comments about her in order to get some more publicity for the upcoming season of The Apprentice.

Rosie made a comment about her “wife” Kelli being in the audience and said she didn’t want to leave her at home in case “someone with a combover came and stole her from me.” (see Trump’s rant.)

Expect more backlash against Trump’s trumpeting. His decision to give his sexed-up and liquored-up Miss USA another chance was not seen as a benevolent Christmas pardon but as cynical wrongheaded move. What’s worse, the most controversial condemnation comes from a former Miss USA, 1993′s Kenya Moore.kenya2-jpg.jpgKenya, who can currently be seen on DVD in the hilarious Burt Reynolds beach volleyball motion picture comedy, Cloud 9, was the second African-American Miss USA. She tells Euroweb that she suspects Trump didn’t remove Tara Conner as Miss USA because the runner-up, Miss California, is a black woman.

“It’s unfortunate because we still live in America. We still live in a racially (divided) climate,” Kenya is quoted as saying. “When (Miss America) Vanessa (Williams) went through certain things in her life and it was found out during her reign, she was dealt a very severe hand. So now you have this blonde, blue-eyed girl who has done, a very scandalous– even illegal thing, yet she gets a slap on the wrist. I’m all for somebody being given a second chance, no one is perfect. But why is it you can’t be a good role model for 365 days? And if you don’t draw the line at illegal activity, where do you draw the line?”

Some people’s moms forgot to teach them that if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all. The Tabloid Baby posts are now in a whole separate fucking section from the recaps, so skip it if you don’t like it. Being mean and nasty makes YOU look bad, not TB.

Reserve your vitriol for the celebrities who thrive on it.

Anyway, I think Trump is jealous of Rosie. She has more fame and industry clout than him. He wants the whole world to know him and love him, but it ain’t happening.

I just wish I could go back to daily digests and recaps, and site announcements, and random silly stuff, but there’s no option for that. Instead, I have to read recaps the day they come out or go through several links to get to it later.

And I miss the ratings, I’m curious if 10th viewing According to Jim episodes are doing better than Daybreak was.

It is a sad state of affairs when this, idiotic “high school” feud between two extremely rich people, is the top story on all the newscasts. Some people just never grow up.

The TB bashers need to “grow up” too.

Rosie is such a pig. It’s always good to see someone come back swinging when she goes on a tear about something stupid.

Frankly, I can’t imagine anyone wanting to steal Rosie’s “wife” from her. She looks like an anorexic little boy.

I agree, Ubi. Seems like Rosie’s always dogging someone…it’s nice to see payback once in awhile.

This Kenya person is an idiot comparing this with something that happened more than 20 years ago. You can do just about anything these days and get away with it, so long as you say you’re sorry. Am so sick of the parade of contrite celebrities that regularly show up on talk shows, or even worse “spoofing” themselves on SNL. Didn’t happen soon enough to save PeeWee though :-(

The Donald is a giant douche, but for some reasons, I’m kinda enjoying him sticking it to Rosie, she had no business saying any of that stuff.

Lets get this straight. Rosie started this. Her comments were way out there and how she said them were inappropriate. I think its about time someone said something back to her. Trump is who he is. I think its a good time to let Miss USA to have another chance. The comments that it is racial is just beyond belief. Trump got it right Rosie has no talent and is a fat ugly ho. She spews shit on tv. I don’t watch The View. I love the Apprentice, its entertaining!

I’m sick of Rosie and the View. I’m glad the Donald shot back at her. The reason she took the high road is becuase she knew she couldn’t win. She started it with her stupid ass comments and when someone comes back at her, then they are wrong? She started shit a couple of weeks ago with her mocking the Asian community and “somewhat” apologizing. She’s a fat pig and should shut the fuck up.

I am annoyed with The Donald. Never before has anyone compelled me to take Rosie’s side in anything. He was over the top and out of line. Dod he lay into everyone who made a joke about him and this incident? I think not. Why do I care about this? Why, why????

    I need a beer.

I agree about losing the quotes. I’m also concerned about your comment about Kelli not being a “real wife”. She is Rosie’s real wife. She’s just not her wife under antiquated laws.
“It’s a political statement!” Yes, but usually putting “wife” in quotes when it comes to same-sex relationships is done by social conservatives who also do the same thing with same-sex “marriage”. The stronger political statement is leaving off the quotes and acknowledging that it was wrong to revoke those marriage licenses.

As for the people calling Rosie a “fat pig” and a “fat ugly ho”, grow up.

No, but I doubt you’d want to read what I call her IRL. :-)
