“I Am We Todd Did; I Am Sofa King We Todd Did”

The Apprentice

Chris1.jpgReality TV’s future white OJ, Chris Douchebagenstein, was shown last night as being the worst buyer at shameless product placement mega-store Best Buy.

After Best Buy neglected to give him his (shameless product placement) Visa credit card, Mr. Douchebagenstein had to spend a majority of the next day standing in the wonderfully air-conditioned and shamelessly promoted Best Buy while management attempted to find his (shamelessly product placed) Visa card which was used to buy among other things, a shamelessly product placed Nintendo Gameboy and shamelessly product placed iPod. After spending a presumed $5,000,000 for the shameful product placement on The Apprentice, Best Buy was seemingly unhappy to see they were portrayed as irresponsible and slow in the matter of the Visa and leaked to Reality Blurred the real story behind the “lost Visa.”

Because I like the good people at Reality Blurred, I won’t spoil the details and instead refer you to their site for the full story, but needless to say, Chris is a tool. Sadly not in a fun to watch Omarosa kinda way, but in a rich white trash guy who will be seen on COPS one day kinda way.

Granted his douchebaggedness is not post-worthy, nor is the fact that The Apprentice pimps itself out to more sponsors than a whore in the backseat of a Nascar in the Indy 500, but hey…its a slow news day, its Friday, and I’m sure you people are just hitting refresh on TVGasm waiting for something new…so it was either this or taking a nap, like this guy.

while chris is a fucking angry moron, i must admit that those tool boxes that work at the chelsea best buy at 23rd & 6th ave are total idiots.

it wouldnt surprise me if the “manager” was also the cashier that “forgot” to return the credit card.

no, really i dont have a problem with those JACKASSES at that particular best buy. AT ALL.

The best moment last night? When DT referred to Angie, Chris, and Alex as losers (although Alex apparently is just a loser-by-association, even though he sucked it up as PM this week.) It’s not terribly professional to refer to someone as a loser during a job interview or boardroom meeting, but who ever said DT was professional in his staged boardroom with its cameras and badly-added voiceovers? It was funny, and that is enough for me!

The Best Buy at 86th and Lex isn’t all that hot either. (In all fairness neither is the Circut City at 86th and 3rd).

I liked “Technology is the language of the new people”…….thank you master yoda!

Not a fan of Chris, but I have personally spent several hours in that same exact Best Buy waiting for them to provide service to the computer I purchased at Best Buy and for which I paid handsomely for a warranty.

I won’t bore the world with the all of the gory details, but after having spent several hours there getting ignored and a few weeks waiting for my laptop to get shipped back and forth to a service center, they erased my hard drive against my wishes and lost all my tax files as a result. They also made many lame excuses along the way.

So Chris may not be the next Jack Welch, but trust me, Best Buy got exactly what they deserved.

Oh yeah, and I actually like the Circuit City on 86th and 3rd, I’ve been there twice recently and they were pretty good.

all hail the retroqueen! i completely agree with you, trump is so short-sighted sometimes it blows my mind that he is successful. but given that the apprentice is the fakest ‘reality’ show on tv (the dominos product placement was even worse last night than the gadgets), it would make sense that producers would want asshat chris around to cause conflict.

angie did everything and messed up once, chris did nothing and messed up once… im seriously thinking of not watching the show anymore because of the crappy firings ha

For those of you who get the title,

Please dont ruin it for those who dont. Infact, the longer it takes to get it, the more appropriate it seems. I recommend the quickest way to get it, get a few friends in the room and read it outloud a few times.

Oh, dammit, I just went off on a Todd tangent. I’m still marvelling at someone being stupid enough to reinforce every male model stereotype by claiming to have graduated “Sigma Cum Laude.” And then I pictured Todd and Chris on a Sofa King. And then I got it. (No, actually, got it.)

The title is a work of genius! Don’t get a big ego over that or anything!

Long ago I stopped watching “The Apprentice” as a reality show. It was during the first season during a rent-the-luxurious-penthouse task. With just like five minutes to go, some prospective renters showed up to save a team that had lost all hope. So very dramatic.

What with Trump’s scripted interchanges with employees and in phone calls, obvious voiceovers, and other nick-of-time saves (wow, what were the chances of Chris getting the credit card back JUST in time), I have been watching this show purely for entertainment.

Actually, I can’t say “purely for entertainment,” because I have gotten some good lessons on how NOT to act in the workplace and with people in general.

Saying the title out loud helps, yes.

Chris actually kept himself in check in the boardroom, temporarily giving up membership in Rage-aholics Anonymous. However, I do so love the train wreck that is his usual venom-spewing demeanor.

Would we have had to have seen all of Thursday’s episode to understand the title? I just watched the second half and the title makes no sense to me. I don’t want to keep reading it out loud if that is going to do me no good.

Oh, it had nothing to do with the last episode. I get it now. You have to read it kind of fast. Haha. Good one. I was trying to figure out who Todd was. I guess I was wasting my time with that.

The title threw me off when I first read it because I kept thinking about “Todd,” the first candidate to get fired in Apprentice 3 (or as he said during the recap show, he was “18th place” this season, which when you consider the number of people who applied, is true).
