harrywinstonLooks like The Bachelorette has been caught in the act yet again. Just a few days after TVgasm revealed to the world that potential suitor Fabrice is gay, we bring news of yet another oversight in casting. Jerry, the dreamy stud who literally swept bachelorette Jen Schefft off her feet, is a reality veteran. You see, while Jerry’s bio claims he’s an art gallery director, fans of The Real World: Back to New York might be more familiar with his OTHER job —  that of a doorman at one Harry Winston’s. Yes, Jerry is the famous doorman who seduced the lovestruck Lori for a multi-episode arc, only to act like she had five heads after she finally had the nerve to ask him on a date (suddenly he was “engaged”). I suppose I should have realized Jerry’s reality whore tendencies after I walked past Harry Winston’s two years ago and he was eagerly taking photos with adolescent girls.

Nevertheless, this ranks as yet another blow to Jen Schefft who has now been saddled with a gay man and a recycled reality star. And let’s not mention the Joe Millionaire-ish explanation Jerry’s gonna have to give when he tries to pass off the Harry Winston storefront as an “art gallery”.

    Dude that is AWESOME. Just the other day I walked past Winston’s and wondered what happened to that guy.

    Isn’t it possible he now works at an art gallery? It has been like 7 years since RW NY2. Come on, he’s the only cute one she has left and now he sucks!!! Grrrrr

    So, is he an art gallery director? He could be doing both jobs I guess. Actually, I don’t feel bad for Jen getting stuck with these guys who are leading double lives, aka liars. She already got chosen once and that didn’t work out which leads me to believe that she just isn’t good at relationships. Whoever came in second, third, or fourth place should be the Bachelorette. Not that I care or anything, but it just doesn’t seem fair.

    Real World Back to New York was about 4 years ago, not 7.

    2 funny!! between this guy and Fabrice who lists his profession as a Real Estate Investor, I wonder how many of the other guys also fluffed up their resumes?

    + 4 da record, Jen Schefft ain’t got nuttin on Dawn from “The Player”!!!

    Jen’s just confused.

    Most of us learned social skills at an earlier age. But now, we’re watching people grow up on television. She may be on Bachelorette 7, or Real World 20: Laguna.

    You guys are way too harsh.

    FIVE years ago he was on Real World (it tapes months prior to showing, remember?). SO WHAT! Did he do anything unethical? No.

    Some silly girl had a crush on him. SO WHAT! Did he sleep with her? No! Kiss her? No! Did he not tell her the truth as she continued to “window shop”? Yes. SO WHAT!

    Don’t any of you remember what it was like to be 23?

    God forbid that my husband punish me now for things I did/say when I was 23.

    All I can say about the whole Jerry/Real World thing is WHO CARES!!!! It’s not like he went hunting down Lori to get on TV!!! If I recall she’s the one who confronted him!! Not only that but isn’t Lori the one who assumed that there was some kind of connection between them? Even if he was engaged back then WHO CARES!!! Wasn’t Jen engaged to Andrew Firestone at one time?!! Leave the poor guy be!!

    Well, if Jen doesn’t take Jerry, I’ll take him! He’s the only guy left that has any real class about him. Maybe Jen’s loss can be mine or some other lucky girl’s gain.

    Actually Jerry is a really nice guy. I went to high school with him in “Smalltown” USA. He had the same girlfriend all through high school.

    I agree with all of the “god” comments. If I were the bachelorette I would have had the final rose ceremony the first night and picked Jerry!
    He’s adorable.

    I think Jerry was the only good looking one in the bunch and He seems like a good guy!! They look cute together and It seems they really honestly like each other~~Time will tell~~But I think she should pick Jerry…

    I don’t really know if anyone cares but Jerry is really an Art Gallery Director in Los Angeles. I know the name of the gallery he works for and where it is located. In fact he has been going to work everyday since the airing of the show and contiunes to do a great job. I’m not sure how long he has been with the company- but I think it is close to a year. A friend of mine knows Jerry personally and says that he is a great guy. I just felt bad for the guy – with everyone doubting where he works – I thought I would set the record straight.
