Frank is proud of his win, saying that now everyone in the final will have been to the ARENA and won. Teej sends Cancun on their way, and they both tell us they’re sad to leave but proud of themselves. TJ congratulates the remaining teams on making it to the final, then tells them he doesn’t think anyone will be able to finish it, but if they can they’ll win $250,000.
You can practically see Dustin thinking, “Challenge accepted!”
Back at the house, the finalists are all thrilled to find new gear, and spend some time exclaiming about it and/or modeling it. For one brief but lovely second, Dustin and Sam do ballet together.
Chet and Trishelle discuss the final, and Chet says his team will carry Devyn if they have to. He then tells us that he has the strength of “a young virgin cult,” and he could win this thing by himself if he were allowed to. Look at Chet, with the zinger! Although the strength of a young virgin cult didn’t seem to help Mitt Romney much. He still has no confidence in Devyn’s ability to do this final, though.
With fashion sense like that, it’s hard to believe girls aren’t literally ripping his clothes off.
Final time! Everyone is excited/nervous as they get dressed. Devyn puts on her wig (important final prep, for sure) and tells us she doesn’t like physical challenges, but she can’t let her team down.
AGAIN WITH THE GODDAMN SNAKE BITING FOOTAGE!
Sorry, not a fan of snakes. Anyway, on the bus ride to the final, Zach tells us that the money would be amazing, but getting through this thing with his roller coaster of a team would be more amazing. Sarah reminds us that she almost died during her last final. Frank notices that there are helicopters up ahead and everyone gets even more nervous/excited. Devyn, for her part, is happy that this might mean less running. Oh, honey. Have you EVER seen this show? You will be running/walking for hours. Probably overnight.
They learn that they will, in fact, be jumping out of planes to reach “no man’s land,” where the final will probably kill them. Teej tells them this will be the hardest thing they’ve ever done, and they’ll be better people for finishing it. He also tells them that they should force their bodies to keep going when their minds want to give up. Ashley tells us she’s excited to jump to her potential doom, because she’s always wanted to do this, but she’s also concerned by the possibility of dying on that very day.
She’s her typical Ashley level of concerned about this possibility.
Frank is literally praying for his survival. Dustin reassures Trishelle. Devyn tells her teammates that she thinks Brooklyn is meant to win, and they should worry about doing things right the first time so they don’t have to them thirty times. Because that might mean more of the running and stuff.
