French Twist

lcjason080306Sniff sniff. At long last, The Hills has come to an end. In tonight’s exciting season finale, our plucky heroine, Lauren, had to choose between Paris and Malibu, career and love, amazingly contrived situation and even more amazingly contrived situation. Yes, it was MTV’s miniaturized version of The Devil Wears Prada, except instead of protagonist who seems inherently smart and capable, we have LC, a much doted-on girl whose pensive exterior merely belies the same idiotic core as all her partners in crime. I’m none too pleased with the way this season finale ended (and that’s not just because my Tivo cut off the last thirty seconds). The only way I can calm myself down is to take solace in the fact that LC’s big dilemma was probably just a wildly extravagant Made-For-TV scenario that surely evaporated once the cameras stopped rolling. Nevertheless, this last half hour of Hillsy goodness featured everything we could possibly hope for: a dash of Whitney babble, a touch of J-Wahl mumblings, a gentle brush of Audrina vapidity, and a healthy dose of Heidi idiocy. I’m sad to see these ragamuffins go, but with Laguna Beach just ’round the corner, I know we’re just getting started. The big season finale started off with LC saying how Wh-Wh-Wh-Whitney had landed an internship with Teen Vogue in New York City. Smell ya later, Whitney! Maybe we can now have a Hills spinoff called The Burroughs. It can all take place in Manhattan (but be filmed elsewhere, just like this show). Anyway, as exciting as this news was, it was nothing compared to the pure thrill Jason felt as he walked into one seaside Malibu home he was thinking about renting. “Wouldn’t this be a killer summer rental?” he asked. He was right. It would have been killer. And you know what just makes it sweeter? Knowing all the long hours at the office that went into getting this place. Oh, that’s right. For a moment, I forgot I was watching a show about people with no direction in their lives. (Of course, if I were nineteen and loaded and could rent a beach house for the summer, I totally would. But then again, I’d probably do so knowing that I wasn’t hitting the peak of my life that very moment).

Nevertheless, as the happy couple stared at the ocean from a balcony, Jason commented, “The last few months have been really good, and, I don’t know, I just think it would be nice to do our own thing for a little instead of being around people 24/7.” Funny, I seem to remember that the person who always wanted to be alone as a couple was LC. Wasn’t it Jason who was always running off with his hetero-lifemates Brian and Jordan? If I didn’t know better, I’d say Jason was just trying to lay low from his supplier, if you know what I’m saying.

We then watched the opening credits for the last time this season, and afterwards, we learned this episode would be generically called “Timing Is Everything.” Of course, since it was the start of the show, we were inundated with several sunny, exciting images of Los Angeles, set to the tune of “Suddenly, I See,” which is perhaps not so coincidentally the same song that kicks off The Devil Wears Prada. If Lauren winds up getting hit by a car whilst on an errand, that would be awesome. So awesome that I had to use the word “whilst.”

Anyway, with essence of Devil Wears Prada in the air, we then headed over to the Teen Vogue offices where Lisa Love had arranged a private audience with her two bestest interns, Whitney and Lauren. Turns out it was Los Angeles Fashion Week, and Nicole was coming out from New York. Nicole! Hurray! Summon the forty elephants and snake charmers! Nicole is back!!!! Um, who’s Nicole?

I think the whole intern thing in Paris for Lauren was contrived. What idiot would pass that up to stay with someone like Jason? Then again, having a show on MTV might be better for any type of career than an internship in Paris — especially if no cameras will be there to follow her around.

murphena | 1 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 7:38 pm

Lauren is clearly a dumbass. Case closed.

grena | 2 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 7:45 pm

Of course Lauren stayed with Jason, because it’s not like an internship in Paris is a chance of a lifetime or anything… she frustrates me so much! Well Whitney did show up at the airport to meet Lisa ( I assume you missed this event because of your TiVo troubles!) So did she go to Paris or NYC?

B-Side I almost peed my pants when I read “I’m on the phone with Santa, We’re going to St. Tropez” under Elodie’s pic.

I knew Lauren did not have the guts to go to Paris and leave that loser! I hope Whitney got to go. Even she is not dumb enough to throw away an opportunity like that. I wonder what Lauren’s parents must think?

How nice was that beach house though? I can’t even imagine being a 19 year old, high school drop out with no job and being there for the summer.

Thanks for the recap B-side. Can’t wait to read your Laguna Beach recaps.

Actually yes, the tivo cut off the last few seconds. Thanks for filling me in!

B-Side | 6 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 8:22 pm

I figured there was no way Lauren was going to Paris when she left the apartment with 1 suitcase. And I couldn’t imagine sitting on an 11 hour transatlantic flight in those heels and the little strapless number she was wearing.

How lame. Turn down Paris??! That decision is totally devoid of logic…. which means it fits this show perfectly!

goodAg | 7 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 8:47 pm

Pure Hills synergy!

Elly the Stapler Lender!

I choked on my pepsi reading this recap!

Anyway, LC is officially a MORON. I hope her and Jason had a great summer. By the way, I heard there was going to be a second season….maybe LC and Jason in the beach house? Will we be that lucky?

netnuh | 8 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 8:50 pm

The Paris internship most definitely had to be fake. From what we’ve seen, Lauren hasn’t done a great job EVER at her internship… letting Heidi in, wanting to leave shoots early for her dirtbag boyfriend’s birthday, almost missing out on two tickets for the fashion show. She sucks at her internship and, in my opinion, she sucks at life. I think the producers had no other way to end the season because Lauren is so unbelievably boring. They had to create some type of big (fake) decision.

By the way, how embarassed would you now be if you were Lauren? If the Paris thing WAS real, she is now officially the biggest airhead of all time… and if it was fake, the producers made her look like the biggest airhead of all time.

cefisher82 | 9 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 9:19 pm

First of all this is the most incredible recap of the season. Bravo, B-Side. Well done!

Well anything that I previously said in Lauren’s defense I take back. That is one dumb girl. Anyone who would pick anything over a fashion internship in Paris is a complete waste of space. I sure hope her Daddy stays rich and codependently takes care of her for life because if she’s supposed to be self sufficient at some point she’s totally f*cked.

Whitney = All About Eve. I love that she plays as dumb as the rest of them but is actually the smart one who goes off and takes advantage of LC’s bad choices, and is smart enough to mooch off of LC’s good publicist. Go go Whitney, you smart bitch!

JWahl’s parents probably opened up the Wahler family bank vault in hopes that he’d stay off the blow if he was in Malibu. Sending him to rehab twice before he’s even 20 would probably be too Peyton Place for pristine Laguna. Wouldn’t you love to get a good look at their inner lives? Now THAT would be a reality show worth watching. I bet Dad puts coke on his cereal in the morning and mom has a vat of Xanax in the Manolo Blahniks room of her closet. Come to think of it, they probably offered LC $50k and an all access pass to Mirval spa to live with Jas for the summer to keep him away from the sniff. God I wish my parents could enable my bad behavior. Rich people are cool. Stupid but cool.

I have nothing to say about Heidi and Audrina except that I won’t miss them and hope that they get pregnant before they start filming the next “Hills” so we don’t have to put up with their boring vacancy. Heidi had relationships with boys in preschool? Is she for real? Let’s just say hypotheitcally that I’m playing the role of Audrina. If my friend said something that completely balls out so stupid to me I’d have to just walk away and never speak to her again. Not young ‘Drina. She was just nodding and inside saying prayers to God thanking him for makin her so pretty. Yawn to both of them.

For next year you should track their not Hollywood Hills activites on Google Earth.

kallies920 | 10 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 9:49 pm

Well I’m glad the internship plotline was fake because I was so PISSED watching LC roll up to the house in the ‘Bu. Way to set an example for the young MTV fans, LAUREN. As if “My Super Sweet Sixteen” weren’t bad enough.

Very funny recap, B-side. I loved the final shots of those ladies from Lisa Love’s office. FUNNY!

monkeypeanut | 11 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 10:09 pm

You want to talk about speed? How about you hand over tickets when the editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue sends an intern for them.

exactly. someone was acting way too bitchy that night. and why would she need to know the names? and how would that make a difference.

anyway….gosh, those last few minutes stressed me out. was she going to paris? malibu? damn you lauren! why jason! geeez, i love LC, i really do, but shes too weak…urg!

thatswhack | 12 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 10:47 pm

I think the next place we’ll see LC is in an infomercial for Proactive solution.

What a loser. I hate girls who give up fabulous opportunities in order to stay with cokeheads that treat them like shit. Oh wait, I don’t know anyone else that stupid.

kristin_d_l | 13 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 10:58 pm

Not to split hairs, but “The Burroughs” would be the title of a spin-off focusing on an avant-garde writer and smack afficionado. Wh-Wh-Whitney’s spin-off would be “The Boroughs”.

Then again, I’d favor calling her NYC romp-based series, “Port Authority”. Hell, any Port in a storm. No?

remford | 14 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 11:01 pm

*claps* Yay for solidifying proof that they were in fact in Park La Brea, I have become obsessed with this location business b/c it’s so close to my house. There was also another giveaway in other episode where Heidi pulls out onto the street which is 3rd street and the backdrop of the buidling was the Palazzo so yay for outsmarting those producers! :) Cheers!

Duchovnysfan | 15 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 03, 2006 11:31 pm

Great recap, B-Side. I’m glad to hear the Paris gig was fake because Lauren choosing JBlow over Paris meant she was officially dumber than Heidi.
In that article about Ms Power Trip, Kelly Cutrone, it said she was 37. Gads, I thought she was about 50. Makes me wonder if Lisa Love is only 42. For someone who works in a youth obsessed world, you’d think Kelly C. would try a little harder to look her best. It’s not as if California is short of plastic surgeons or makeup artists.

zevonia | 16 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 12:44 am

She made the WRONG CHOICE! She is a fool. They should have offered Heidi the chance to go…NOW THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN QUITE A SHOW! She cant even find her way out of her own apartment…let alone Paris!

lill2441 | 17 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 5:31 am

It is so OBVIOUS that JASON needs to have his own show. If it wasn’t for him, THE HILLS would of been even more of a disaster. Also, I think LC helped JASON get sober yet again…. J-WHAL often referred to LAREN staying by his side during hard times, etc. … THANKS for the amazing recaps B-SIDES!!!

hipcheck | 18 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 5:49 am

I Pretty much knew she wasn’t going because I had read an article that it didn’t happen. On the show Lisa did say she was just nominated (that didn’t mean she had it yet, L.C. may of had to tell them if she wanted to go first before they let her have it.) But, I wasn’t sure if the article I read was right so I was wondering a little bit during the show what she would pick. But when she left her apartment in that dress with one suitcase and the top down on her car I knew she wasn’t going to the airport. I have a convertible car and if I was going to the airport to leave I wouldn’t go with the top down, because it takes time to get it back up not that much time but just enough that it would make me nervous about getting to the gate and things on time. Besides all that I wouldn’t want to have wind blown her on the plane. Even with a pony tail it gets all tangled.

PattiJo | 19 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 6:43 am

Wow, what a lame finale. When I heard Lisa Love telling LC how great an intern she was and that she got the internship to Paris Vogue, I traumatized my cat with my combination of laughter and falling off the couch wheezing.

Ubiquitous | 20 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 6:48 am

even though the Paris thing is fake, LC is still dumb dumb dumb for being with Jason, period.

tikilights | 21 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 7:21 am

and I HATE Jason’s disgusting beard line. gag

tikilights | 22 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 7:23 am

i actually have a team lc shirt from hollister, back from laguana season 1. i’m not sure i can wear it anymore, thanks to her making the stupidest decision ever. and as i don’t think stupidest is actually a word, i’m mad at her for making me just a little bit dumber.

sweetjane | 23 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 7:46 am

Okay, here’s the deal. If LC was so into fashion and really wanted to make a career out of it, she would be a lot more excited about going to Paris(fake or not), especially for Couture Week.

PS-Read on Brinks and Stones that The Hills got picked up for another season for sure. Can’t wait.

You guys are so harsh! Remember, love isn’t a maybe thing–only her future is a maybe thing.

Also, according to Wikipedia (reliability pending) Jason went to rehab for a cocaine addiction. Apparently, he couldn’t even graduate from high school too. I’m willing to believe it’s all true.

StreetHassle | 26 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 8:08 am

Lauren doesn’t REALLY want to make it in the fashion world & have a career out of it, she merely wants to stretch her 15 mins into 30 into a full hour etc. If she really wanted to be a part of the fashion world and not some d-list celeb, she’d be on fashion runway where TALENT gets you far, not the fact that you’re a spoiled teen with delusions of grandeur. I mean, come on, how many of these laguna kids do you really think would put any effort, aside from getting an agent after their season, to actually become successful? there is a reason i no longer watch mtv(i’m 20 & have grown up on it). i’m so over seeing children who think they’re entitled to EVERYTHING just because they have money(the hill, laguna, sweet 16). mtv gives these morons a false sense of entitlement, but it makes myself & fellow college students laugh because one day, we’re gonna run their asses and it’s going to be FAB-U-LOUS! ok i think i’m done ranting…i’m gonna do some lines now ;) kidding!!

lalia | 27 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 8:57 am

Um, the last thirty seconds of the show included Whitney arriving to the airport with Lisa Love. I don’t know if you missed that or not. So, you were right about Whitney coming to see Lisa Love. Whitney went to Paris instead of Lauren. Remember the foreshadowing when Whitney was like, “I’ll take it if you refuse it” or something like that. Well, if I missed it, I’ll blame it on Heidi.

John | 28 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 9:21 am

B-Side, I actually yelled at my tv when Lauren didn’t shake hands with the editor. I’m glad someone else was so annoyed by it.

I think they’d pretend to film in trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and call it “The Burg.” Except they’d really live in Greenpoint. And sorry for the NY-centric comments, but since I don’t live in LA, I had to make my own false location fun.

RealityMonkey | 29 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 9:31 am

Would anyone who’s going for the entire summer to Paris leave their car at the airport that whole time? As soon as I saw her get in her car I knew she was going to the beach house.

murphena | 30 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 11:18 am

I loved your recap!! LOL @ the laying low/supplier comment.

Hate Jason’s stripe on his face. When he was trying to act supportive it looked like he was grinding his teeth and someone was twisting his balls while he was mumbling.

I wished someone would just punch that stupid dumbass in the face when she pulled up in the driveway. I am glad to know it probably was no deal in the first place.

Audrina unattractive piano key teeth & what’s her name go away.

I was glad for Whitney that she took advantage of the opportunity MTV crews gave her. Her “You have got to go riiiiiiight?” was annoying.

Don’t even get me started on that Kelly woman. Well the first two letters of her last name is a good start!!! People that try to make a name for themselves by being a total bitch-ass c make me want to puke. No one knows (knew) who you are bitch! She was fing with Lauren just to be a bitch. What was she going to do, say NO if it happened to be two other names than the ones that Lauren should have written down?

noballs | 31 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 12:05 pm

Oh my god. You have no idea how hard I was laughing when I read the final picture montage. I basically was crying at my cubicle.

The Frugal Intern | 32 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 12:20 pm

I’m glad the Paris internship was fake. Otherwise, MTV would have followed her for season two – further fueling the French hatred of America.
I can hear it now:

“Socially inept, over privileged twenty year old gets handed all expense paid move to dream internship in Paris while her every breath is documented by MTV. How typically American and gauche.”
(but say it with a bad French Pepe Le Pu-style accent dripping with condescension)

Then again, they love Jerry Lewis

2 Old 4 This | 33 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 1:58 pm

I find this rabid obsession with the location both amusing and somewhat frightening.

tvtvtv | 34 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 4:05 pm

B-side you are so funny.

Did Whitney go to Paris instead of New York? Could the Paris internship have been offered to Whitney in the first place but the show told them all to say it was Lauren who was “nominated”(she wasn’t really offered it yet, but Lauren was all “Lisa Love offered me and internship in Paris!”) to make for better TV? If that’s so don’t you think Lauren would be not too excited about the whole thing, because there she is looking like she might be going to Paris, but in reality Paris Vogue, or wherever she was supposedly offered to intern, would not fall for the whole MTV thing and Lauren knows she doesn’t deserve it. (But of course she’d be an idiot to turn it down anyway and for JASON; and MTV certainly made her look like an idiot). That would explain why she never seemed that excited about “going to Paris”. Does anyone else think she didn’t look very happy at the end of the show standing and looking at the sunset with Jason?

I feel embarassed I actually enjoyed watching this show, which is so unrealistic and makes young mtv viewers glorify these airhead kids that are famous for doing nothing and don’t really deserve summer beach houses at 19 (i’m 19) and Teen Vogue intership and whatnot. If only life was really that easy, for everyone.

Oh but it’s fun watching how vapid and idiotic they are… and laughing my ass off with these re-caps. how silly am i? i know.

porcelain | 35 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 5:08 pm

nevermind, some of you probably already know but it looks like MTV tried to get Lauren an internship with Louis Vuitonn, but that didn’t fly with the Paris fashion house:

“Teen Vogue editors and producers for the MTV reality series, The Hills, are said to have approached Louis Vuitton”which recently began advertising with the magazine this year”with the idea of having Conrad end the season having scored an internship at the French fashion house’s headquarters in Paris. According to sources, Louis Vuitton wasn’t so keen on the idea and politely declined. An MTV spokeswoman could not be reached for comment. Guess there is reality in television after all.”
http://www.jossip.com/gossip/lauren-conrad/louis-vuitton-doesnt-want-to-adopt-intern-lc-20060721.php

wowforyou posted that link.

porcelain | 36 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 04, 2006 6:08 pm

Though I look forward to your entertaining recaps every week, B-side…I must admit I do stray. On Wednesday I found on TW’s site a spoiler alert clip of the Hills finale. It showed the last five minutes of the episode. After watching the entire episode tonight (after downloading it) I noticed one major clue that was edited out. When Lisa Love is waiting at the airport, she actually greeted the baggage handler warmly. He asked her where she was going she said, “Air France.” and he promptly took her luggage. As I watched the episode I noticed MTV edited that scene and removed sound bytes. You can’t hear Lisa Love say anything. We only see the baggage handler taking the luggage. sneaky sneaky MTV.
Of course the video has been pulled from YOutube because of the copyright thingy now or I would put up the link. If anyone wants to try it’s on tabloidwhore’s site 8/2.

But, like B-side said, he and everyone else already knew LC didn’t go to Paris because she was making appearances everywhere. so much for ambition.
I can’t wait for the Guna 3.
Thanks B-side for the laughs.

SDfashgal | 37 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 05, 2006 3:04 am

“I figured there was no way Lauren was going to Paris when she left the apartment with 1 suitcase.”

I thought the exact same thing.

If I were in the situation Lauren was in I’d bring my boyfriend with me to Paris. There’s got to be a way to get the money back from the rental. I mean, seriously, who would give up the chance to go to Paris for the summer? :\

Amanda | 38 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 05, 2006 8:31 am

I figured Jason would have been the one driving her to the airport if she were going to Paris, so I knew when she was driving she was going straight to that goofy boyfriend. She’s obviously not that into fashion or her career, so you can’t be mad at her for not doing it. I agree with you though b-side; some foundation if you can’t leave to work for only 8 weeks. P.S. I hate that beard too. They call it the “chin strap” up here… not a good look.

couchpotato | 39 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 05, 2006 4:43 pm

When Lauren started rolling the suitcase from her room, the fabric of the suitcase fluttered a bit. She didn’t even have that thing completely packed. All for show.

suebee | 40 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 05, 2006 7:54 pm

She clearly lost her mind… who wouldnt pick Paris over some jackass of a boyfriend like Jason?? but i figure you know these laguna beach kids with parents who are loaded can go to Paris anytime.. but i still think she made the wrong choice..

Lazy | 41 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 05, 2006 9:49 pm

So…I had a few problems this episode.

Firstly, I’m sure Lauren is pretty inexperienced when it comes to being in the fashion industry…but HELLO KELLY she IS an intern.

And it’s not like Kelly was necessarily being the easiest person to work with! She was clearly bitter that Lauren’s getting a career in fashion from merely being on a reality show when she was in high school…while Kelly just plans the parties.

If a Vogue Editor asks you to cut off your own ear and feed it to your dog…YOU DO IT! Ugh, it just annoyed me after I read that interview with her saying Lauren was stupid and just stood there! Uh okay…well next time you make it utterly impossible for her to do her job maybe she should just dropkick your ass!

To add to that…LAUREN IS STUPID! Whatever…I’m glad that it turned out that Whitney got to go to Paris because THAT IS A MAJOR STEP IN SIDEKICK STATUS!!! THE SIDEKICK WENT! HOW UNCANNY IS THAT! haha…anyways….

Lauren chooses coke head over Paris…in three years when the Hills is over and Lauren is working as a sales associate at Abercrombie & Fitch…she will look back on that day and cringe.

I liked the episode…no matter how contrived Lauren’s internship was! I bet Whitney was the one who had the internship all along and they just said she was going to New York for the dramatic effect…gahhh! But they had us going! I really thought she was going to Paris…but I guess she planned some teen vogue party in the Hamptons recently (maybe Lauren and Whitney switched internships??) anyways…

blah.

Tyler | 42 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 06, 2006 9:07 am

Try to top that with your “human fashion show.”–made me laugh!!

and all the captions under the pictures was REALLY great in this recap. b-side, it can’t be said enough…you are pure brilliance.

SO, one of my friends’ friends, knows brent bolthouse and confirmed that heidi is just an INTERN at bolthouse, and not an employee. so quitting school for her “dream job” turned out to be predictably not so true. an education? or unpaid internship? what to choose? let’s see here….

ALSO, in real life it would NOT have been that difficult to score tickets for vogue editors at the fashion show. any publicist would JUMP at the chance of any vogue editor to show up, and quite frankly these shows are super easy to crash.
i thought it would have been really funny, if as a twist, lauren asked heidi and audrina for THEIR tickets! and heidi would have to choose between her own fun or lauren’s job!

p.s. lauren is seriously SO boring. does anyone else besides me miss KIRSTIN?? “steeeveeeeennn” those were the good ol’ days.

overall. great episode. fake twists and all.

ponyluv | 43 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 06, 2006 5:36 pm

Not only do I miss Kristin (who didn’t put up with crap from guys!), I miss Stepheeeen as well. Yeah, he was a little dopey, but he wasn’t a major coke addict or potentially abusive. He was always a nice friend to Lauren, even though he wasn’t into her as a girlfriend.

Things I have learned from The Hills this season:
1. NEVER work on your boyfriend’s birthday. Omigod!
2. Apparently, I had a shitty internship, because I never got to fly cross-country.
3. If I want my dream job with my dream company in my dream field, I should just be able to go out and get it, right? Right?
4. Don’t bother shaking hands with important people. It’s not like they expect you to or anything.
5. Apparently, since I share a name with this show’s protagonist, I SHOULD be dating grungy cokeheads with puffy hair, chinstrap beards and trust funds, who will treat me however the hell they want, mumbling away as I blow off my professional life so I can blow them.

Is it bad that I ended up liking Heidi better?

Love ya, B-Side!

maybeimamazed02 | 44 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 06, 2006 8:55 pm

Are they seriously filming another season of this crap? They’d have to film for 3 years to get enough INTERESTING material for a season. (Of course, I will watch every minute of said 2nd season, should it exist.)

Lauren should finish school, dump JBlow, and leave reality TV to the true fame-mongers out there.

Maybeimamazed, I too ended up liking Heidi better than Lauren. She’s a borderline princess, but she doesn’t take crap from guys. Bravo, Heidi.

MissKatrina | 45 of 48 Comments | Posted on August 07, 2006 8:51 am

I didn’t watch “Laguna Beach”.
All I know about Lauren is from “The Hills”.
If anyone hasn’t seen the end of “The Hills” STOP READING.

Lauren staying with Jason was a HUGE mistake!
If he had any concept of love, he would be sure that Lauren follows her dreams and encourage her to go to Paris.

Maybe for as rich as they are, this isn’t a once in a lifetime opportunity.

But the fashion business isn’t big on flakey people. This can really hurt Lauren for a very long time.

What does Jason do for a living anyway? Couldn’t he just go with her to Paris?

Anyway, I’m really dissapointed in our girl.

I have a new appreciation for Heidi, though. She is a lot tougher than I gave her credit. She’s my new favorite on the show.

What do y’all think?

By the way, will “The Hills” return for another season?

I look forward to any responses.

Thanks,
