With the season finale of The Hills fast approaching tonight, we thought we’d get in the mood by once again exposing a dubious bit of casting on the show. Last week, we noted the nifty coincidence that intern Whitney just so happened to be the roommate of LC’s old school chum, Christina. Now we’ve learned that sidekick/aspiring actor Brian has appeared on MTV’s short-lived series, Damage Control. Is it a coincidence that he’s wound up on another MTV series, one that is plagued with rumors of being highly scripted? We don’t know.

But in the meantime, check out Brian’s official acting reel, spotted by TVgasm reader, Lauren. Warning: what you are about to see may be about as lethal as that tape from The Ring.

    Brian neglected to include a clip of his most convincing role yet: that of a straight man. Actually, that one is not that convincing, either. He and Jordan and J-Blow all have a bad case of “gay”.

    Brian isn’t the only Damage Control alum on The Hills.

    According to Jordan’s awesome website (http://www.jordaneubanks.com/), “While in New York, Jordan achieved some success by landing a role on the MTV series, ‘Damage Control’. This is where Jordan met his good friend Brian, who was also cast on ‘Damage Control’. The two of them were encouraged to head to Los Angeles, so they packed up their belongings and headed across the country. Upon arriving in Los Angeles Jordan met some new friends and landed a role in the MTV’s new reality series, ‘The Hills’.”

    I don’t see how there’s anything fishy about that.

    I’ve been putting off signing up for this website, but Pop Culture Petr Dish finally got me off my lazy butt. I just had to thank you for introducing me to the http://www.jordaneubanks.com. Seriously, just when you think this guy can’t be more of douche bag, more material emerges. Oh… the tour starts this Fall by the way!

    OK..I suspected Brian was gay..or at the very least confused. but i actually thought he & whitney were the only people on the hills with a lick of sense. i was wrong…that boy ain’t right. i was so embarrassed watching that video. just wrong on so many levels…

    Painful. Just painful. Though his Ashton Kutcher impersonation was kind of funny, I thought. Oh God… did I just say that?

    It just cements the notion that Brian and Jordan go together like…. Vinegar and Water.

    Curiosity got the best of me and after checking out jordaneubanks.com, there is a picture of LC and Kristin looking very chummy with each other. More proof of the show being contrived?
