Spencer Pratt from The Hills, best known as the armpiece to the surgically-altered Heidi Montag, has injected himself into Paris Hilton‘s jailhouse dilemma by launching his own “Free Paris” petition on his MySpace page.

Now the original Free Paris petition is a brilliant literary parody that’s so funny, James Lipton gave a dramatic reading of its highlights on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Pratt’s “petition” isn’t even a petition. It doesn’t say anything at all, except “Sign The Petition Below To Free Paris Hilton!!!!!”, followed by a space to post your name, email address and birthday. It’s most likely a cover-up for a mailing list.

But the crafty kid plays it straight:“I’ve always thought that the punishment should fit the crime, ” he tells Us. “Paris has changed her image dramatically over the last couple years. Now she is such a good role model and a smart businesswoman. So it’s a shame that a miscommunication between her and her people is landing her in jail. She should get probation with community service, but no way should she be put in jail with real criminals.”

As if it’s going to do any good, Pratt claims he’ll hand the petition personally to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (incriminating photos above) as soon as he gets 100,000 signatures (now that’s a mailing list).

She TOTALLY shouldn’t go to jail, where “the real criminals are”. You know, she just shouldn’t be with people that have committed crimes. You know, like, broken laws. Oh wait. You don’t think that driving without a license violates the law, do you?
    Wow. Just, wow.
