Thursday Night’s Delight

We’ve got 50 Cent throwing his hat into the ‘reality’ ring. His new show, “50 Cent: The Money & The Power”, premieres tonight on MTV at 10pm. In the first episode, “Choose Your Crew Wisely”, 14 contestants split into 2 teams. (Team Money & Team Power) It follows the usual competition rules, ending with one person getting their walking papers. 50 Cent assures us that this show is NOT another “Apprentice”. We shall see. Let’s see what else is on after the jump….

America has spoken. Erica Kane has been sent back to daytime TV where she belongs. She grabbed that mike last night and made a speech worthy of an EMMY nod. I wonder how long she practiced that one in the mirror. Most likely, it was memorized from week one. She knew she sucked and had been preparing for this moment for 6 weeks. Now things are going to get tough. The remaining five are really good and it will be harder & harder to see them leave. I’m hoping for a Warren Sapp win, but I’m almost sure the ‘silver ball’ will go to Brooke Burke. Look for this week’s recap from Krank for all the show’s great moments.

“Top Design’s” finale was full of cattyness, thanks to Eddie, returning to help, of all people, Preston. The three designers are so totally different from one another, it was hard for me to decide ‘who’s design I could live with’. J-Mo has all the scoop in his recap. Watch for it!

Oh, and one more thing before we get to tonight’s schedule. Alyssa Milano’s new show, “Single with Parents”, a mid-season comedy on ABC, has been cancelled before it ever aired. The writers couldn’t write something worth putting on TV, I guess. That’s no reason to cancel it though. I mean, “Kath & Kim” is still on.

“Life on Mars” at 10pm. (new) Whoopi Goldberg is a guest tonight. I think she’s Guinan coming back from the future for a vacay from the ‘Enterprise’. Maybe she’ll tell give the dude a clue as to why he’s in 1973. (hey, it could happen!)
