Thumby doesn’t even bother to go over to the judges table and they are annoyed that they apparently are not getting an introduction to this course. He actually walks by the judges’ table at one point and doesn’t bother to stop even though he HAS to see that they’ve been served their next course.
Padma thinks it looks pretty and Daddy Tom loves the tapioca pasta. Finally Thumby decides to see how they’re doing and asks if he can do anything for them. Yeah, Padma says, they’d like to know what the fuck they’ve been eating.
He might as well have just said “food” because the explanation he gives them is curt and just as short. Daddy Tom says he feels as though they were just scolded and Gail says they were made to feel like idiots which you never want to do to a customer. Danny bets that you would find a much different answer at Top Model’s restaurant.
LaGassy says the way Thumby just made them feel was worse than that Blowsontaste. Yeah, well, let’s hope he remembers that later.
When Thumby comes back to the kitchen he starts sticking his fingers in the spices while Stoner asks if he can tell what the judges think. Nope. Nothing at all? Have they said anything? Nope. Yeah, I don’t think he wants Stoner to know that he’s behaving like an ass out there.
Time for the next course. Adobe pork? Thumby asks. Adobo pork, Stoner corrects.
That dung puree is on the lighter side….corn dung?
The judges all love the dish; daddy Tom says it was the best tasting dish of the night. Danny says he couldn’t stop eating it which is always a good thing.
And then we move on to dessert.
Just because you put flowers on the plate doesn’t mean your shit doesn’t stink, Stachey!
Oh wait, there’s more! Thumby made a ginger tea for them.
And squeezed out a nice healthy one for them to sink their teeth into
Gail really loves the clean, pure, and strong flavors of Stachey’s dessert. LaGassy liked it as well. Gail says the timing on the tea is good and Daddy Tom jokes that it’ll help wash the taste of bad service out of their mouths. He says people go to restaurants for food but they’ll return for hospitality. I agree with that. I’ve been to fine dining and just regular old Joe places, but if the service sucks it doesn’t make you want to go back for more, no matter how good the food is.
I know I always give service with a smile
Everyone starts cleaning up in the kitchens as the diners talk about their experience with food. Stoner says he can’t feel his legs and Top Model says it was fun but she’s glad it’s over. The timing was off because of Blowsie, but she’s proud of the food they put out.
