The Vampires are Coming!!!

While NeNe recovers from her stroke, let’s talk about what’s going on tonight ……The CW continues it’s premiere week with a brand new show, The Vampire Diaries, at 8pm. Based on the L.J. Smith series of books, it’s cashing in on all the fanfare over vampires, fueled by the popularity of the movie Twilight. It’s a perfect fit for CW fans. A sexy vampire decides to go to high school, meets this hot chick & then his older vampire brother comes to town & decides he wants her too. Of course, she can’t believe her luck at having, not one, but two blood-lusting dudes fighting over her neck, & just can’t make up her mind which one she wants. I’m a lover of vampires, (True Blood fan), so I think this is going to be an awesome show.

Supernatural returns for it’s 5th season on the CW at 9pm. Sam & Dean are back & finally find out that Castiel was killed by archangels. Those bastards! In other news, Lucifer gets released from Hell & decides to take some vacation time on earth. Sounds like a hot season!

Those are the only two premieres for this Thursday night. However, there are some good shows to watch tonight, that aren’t repeats.

CBS has Big Brother 11 at 8pm. After Tuesday’s live show, we were left hanging, literally, on a log. We find out tonight, just who won that wet & wild endurance competition. The winner is assured safety from the next big “Head of Household” competition. That second bout will be held live tonight. The winner of that round will then go head to head against the winner of the first (log rolling) one. Got all that because it gets worse, the winner of third round gets to choose who will be in the “Final Two” to win the $500,000 prize. The loser goes to the jury house, to wait till Tuesday’s live finale show, & vote which one of those two bastards gets the money.

Project Runway is on at 10pm, on LIFETIME. For any of you doubting Thomas’s out there, the show is still the same. The switch to a new network hasn’t changed a thing. If you haven’t watched, it’s been awesome. I’m loving this pack of ‘needles & pins’ neurotics. Tonight they get to dress 13 different women. I’m sure there’s a twist & Tim will send at least one designer into a meltdown with his critique.

DISCOVERY has new episodes of Nature’s Deadliest at 9pm & I Was Bitten at 10pm. In the first, human beings have to deal with death by spiders & hippos! The second show gives us a look at humans bitten by snakes, tigers & elephants! Both shows are sure to leave you with nightmares.

TLC has Policewomen of Broward County at 9pm. We get to watch tough as nails, but really sexy, women take on the thugs of the world, or at least Florida. This show is not bad at all. I love watching justice being upheld. The fact that it’s on TLC & not BRAVO or truTV shows that this network is breaking out of it’s “I’m a freak of nature” themed programming.

Let’s get back to NeNe, shall we……

Real Housewives of Atlanta has a new episode on BRAVO, tonight at 10pm. Kim & NeNe are going to record a new song with the help of Kandi. I’m sure it will be just as great as “Don’t be Tardy for the Party”. Lisa tries to put out a clothing line & Sheree tries to put out her clothing line too. Who is going to buy all these housewife clothes? Maybe I should put out my own line. I’d specialize in stretch pants with baggy pocket t-shirts with matching flip flops for that down home look. My collection will be called the “Coochie Choochie”!

That’s it for tonight kids. My “Pick of the Night is The Vampire Diaries. ….and I’m not watching Big Brother tonight unless Natalie smashes her face on that log.
