ABC Axes “Eli”!

The recent rash of cancelled shows has made me take stock of just what TV shows will not be back for another season. The list after the jump……

That finger squashed him dead. DAMN!

I’m still stunned about “Eli Stone” & “Dirty Sexy Money” being taken off the air by ABC. We all knew “Pushing Daisies” was doomed, but this was not expected, by me at least. I thought about what the networks have been doing to try and save their ratings dollars. Here’s my list of “has-been’s” & and “soon to be has-beens”.

ABC:

“Opportunity Knocks” Ashton Kutcher tore up people’s lawns to play games.

“Pushing Daisies” The cliffhanger ending will be desolved in a comic book. Check your local news stand.

“Eli Stone” I wonder if Eli had this f*cking vision.

“Dirty Sexy Money” Where is Blair gonna go now? The unemployment line again.

“Boston Legal” This isn’t cancelled, just not coming back.

NBC:

“Lipstick Jungle” Brooke Shields will be pulled off the set screaming & scratching. She’s NOT cancelled!

“My Own Worst Enemy” Henry & Edward just couldn’t co-exist. Even though Christian Slater tried, I couldn’t keep track of who was who after a couple of weeks & neither could he.

“ER” Not cancelled, just going away. I wish they’d pull this plug sooner. It’s painful to watch it suffer so.

CBS:

“The Ex-List” Those perfect, beautiful, self-centered, white, 20-ish, ex-boyfriends were all gay.

FOX:

“Do Not Disturb” All I can remember from this show is Niecy Nash, with the signature, huge flower in her hair, left “Clean House” to do this show. Maybe she can go back to cleaning houses.

“King of the Hill” I heard this show may get picked up by another network. Maybe they’ll rework it, and give Hank a new family. That Peggy should have died when her parachute didn’t open.

“MadTV” This is just crazy. Way funnier than “SNL”.

CW:

“4Real”

“In Harm’s Way”

“Easy Money”

“Valentine”

All of these shows were duds from the start. No surprises here. They are replacing them with “Jericho” reruns & movies.

SciFi:

“Stargate Atlantis”

“Battlestar Galactica”

“Charlie Jade”

They have a winner with “Sanctuary” & I bet we see more “green-screen” productions.

“The Shield” will also be ending this season. Will he finally go to jail?

I expect more cancellations coming before Xmas. The networks are weeding out the duds before the ‘second’ new season begins in January.

Thank God they haven’t cancelled “Kath & Kim”!
