I’m in the pilot’s seat & ready to guide you through the vast wasteland of TV premieres after the jump…..
The new season is here. All those lazy, hazy days are over. It’s time to get back to the couch & I couldn’t be happier. I have filled my brain with the mind-numbing, often, ridiculous, doings in the Big Brother house & I was ready for it to be over 2 weeks ago, when they decided to send eye-candy Jeff packing. It’s so bad now that I’m trying to convince myself that watching this final pack of lab rats is my just rewards for wasting such a beautiful summer. There was only one bright spot in the whole season…..
Mr. Pectacular!
Ok, I need to move forward. This week is the beginning of the fall season of television viewing. NBC will be bringing a new alternative to the 10pm time slot & the SciFi Channel has changed it’s name to SYFY. Tonight begins the CW’s new line-up.
90210 premieres tonight at 8pm. This 2nd season opener has a new character,Teddy (played by Trevor Donovan) a handsome, smart, athletic,
charming, and confident guy who promises to screw every girl in the neighborhood before season’s end.
Meet 90210‘s newest member… TEDDY!!!
Melrose Place is a new series starting at 9pm on the CW. This remake of the 90′s version promises that “this is the place where nothing is what it appears to be, and everybody has a dark agenda.” I don’t see Heather Locklear anywhere, It’s a wait & see show. Wait to see if anyone stays to watch it after 90210. It will be up against both Dancing With the Stars & So You Think You Can Dance at 9pm, on Tuesdays, in the coming weeks.
“Lying, cheating, stealing, seduction, backstabbing, betrayal, murder… it’s just another day at Melrose Place.”
HBO has the 7th season opener of Curb Your Enthusiasm at 10pm. The show reunites all four cast members of Seinfeld with Larry David, as they try to work out a script for a reunion show. It will be the first time Michael Richards has ever been on the show & I think the first time he’s been on TV since his ugly outbursts during a stand-up routine. The storyline is suppose to run for 7 of the 10 episode season.
“It’s Not a Reunion, But it’s the Closest You’ll Get”
Sons of Anarchy premieres tonight at 10pm on FX. This 2nd season is going to be about all the internal conflicts that happen at the club & as a result, the club is going to become its own worst enemy. Katey Sagal is back as the bitchy biker mama! With my “biker mama” background, (Shout ou to the “Hadeans”!) I don’t know why I haven’t watched this show before. It has a good chance of attracting me this season, because it’s competition is two new dramas, The Forgotten (Sept. 22) on ABC, The Good Wife (Sept. 22) on CBS & Jay Leno (Sept. 14) on NBC.
This or Leno?… I think I’ll go with this!
ABC has Shaq VS at 9pm. Tonight the giant 7ft, 320lb basketball player takes on boxing champion, 5’10″, 160lb. Oscar Del La Hoya in a Las Vegas exhibition match. Sounds like something the guys will want to watch, so make sure you have control of the remote tonight ladies.
CBS has a LIVE Big Brother 11 tonight at 9pm. It’s the beginning of the end of what was once an action-packed summer diversion. The fact that nasty-ass Natalie & her rubber-faced, gay side-kick, Kevin just might win this season is replusive to all the Big Brother fans in America. Tonight’s LIVE eviction & HOH challenge will determine the fate of the final 4. Makes me want to puke!
FOX has Hell’s Kitchen at 8pm. The 8 chef-wannabes have to make crepes. It’s sure to be a frenchman’s nightmare. I can’t wait to see how many times Chef Ramsey spits into the garbage can tonight. I’m rooting for either, the dude with the broken arm, or the Whoopi look-a-like, to win this season.
More to Love, at 9pm, is getting down to the end & not soon enough for me. What a repulsive, demeaning show this is. Tonight fat Luke gets to cut another cow from the herd, going from 3 to 2. Let’s just get this bad idea over with. It’s insulting to watch!
NBC has another round of semi-finalists performing on America’s Got Talent tonight at 9pm. The show’s 2hrs long, so prepare to DVR it so you can fast-forward thru all the filler & cut it down to an hour. The talent is a tad pathetic this year, but that’s just my opinion. It just seems they could have found better talent than frisbee catching dogs & dancing sisters.
Shouldn’t they be on Pet Star with Mario Lopez?
Don’t forget, Jeff Lewis is also on tonight at 10pm on BRAVO’s Flipping Out. Jeff has a major meltdown trying to find a new assistant & when chaos erupts, he turns to a “feng shui expert” to bring peace to the household. I’m sure he’ll find fault with the expert’s plans to re-arrange his furniture, so that’ll be fun to watch. I still find it hard to look at his lips.
“You are alloted 5 minutes for bathroom use & must never do #2 in my house during work hours.
Hope I’ve help you decide what you want to watch tonight. My “Pick of the Night” is Sons of Anarchy. Here’s hoping we have a great fall season & that Kevin keeps Michele on Big Brother, thus stabbing Natalie in the back.

Good call on Sons of Anarchy Chooch. I started watching this one last season and besides you’re right there’s nothing else on at 10:00 on Tuesday. Anyway, 2 1/2 more hours and I get to spend some time with SAM CROW
