Friday Night Lights on Friday!

I have to say that last night’s ending to CSI’s farewell to Grissom, was the best EVER! I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen it yet, but I will say it was a very satisfying way for a main character to end his career. Bravo to the writers for making me feel all warm & squishy inside.

The first of the last 10 episodes of Battlestar Galactica airs tonight on the SCIFI Channel at 10pm. I was never aware of just how many fans this show has. These fans have been waiting patiently for over 6 months for a resolution to the huge cliffhangers they were left with last season. The writers promise to give the show a final ending that will “blow your mind”. Not to worry BG fans, SciFi has given the go-ahead to resume production of the prequel Caprica, set 50 years in the past, before the human-cylon wars. It is scheduled to premiere in 2010.

Friday Night Lights begins it’s 3rd season again tonight on NBC at 9pm. I was a bit confused about the history of this show’s airdates. After a little research (Wikipedia), I found out that due to last year’s writers strike, the show was in jeopardy of cancellation. NBC ordered 13 episodes that orginally aired on DirerTV’s Ch.101 last fall. NBC is now airing these episodes beginning tonight. Got all that? Putting it on Friday nights, the producers are hoping people will remember what night it’s on now.

I have to cut things short today because I need to go buy a new battery for my truck. This cold weather is kicking the old one’s ass.

CBS has all-new shows tonight. The Ghost Whisperer (8pm), followed by the new show, Flashpoint (9pm) & NUMB3RS (10pm) rounds out their evening.

ABC’s shows are also new. They start with Wife Swap (8pm), with a thrifty penny-pincher swapping with real splurger. Supernanny (9pm) is training yet another batch of bratty kids & 20/20 (10pm) is all about the real worth of things, such as, college education or the CEO’s who make so much money.

NBC has two new Howie Do it (8 & 8:30pm). I’m actually wondering how he did do it, meaning how’d Howie convince NBC to let him make this joke of a joke show. As I noted, Friday Night Lights (9pm) premeires it’s 3rd season opener & Dateline (10pm) has Chris Hansen doing a real news story, instead of catching perverts! He investigates the murder of a young girl who was a drug dealing informant.

Everybody Hates Chris (8pm) & The Game (8:30pm) are new on the CW. There is a repeat of 13: Fear is Real at 9pm.

FOX has Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader (8pm) & Penn & Teller try their luck on Don’t Forget the Lyrics Will we hear a single note out of Teller?(9pm).

E! has True Hollywood Story: Rock Star Wives (8pm). Think they’ll say anything about Pamela Anderson? The Soup (10pm) with Joel McHale is followed by Wildest Naked TV Moments. (10:30pm).

USA has new episodes of Monk & Psych at 9 & 10pm.

Don’t forget, Miss America: Countdown to the Crown (10pm) is on TLC tonight. We have to get our votes in on the 4 beauties we want in the “Final 15″ It’s the final episode before next week’s pageant!.

LOST Countdown……… 6 Days! I watched the 3-hr finale last night. OMG! I love Ben. He was so awesome when he stabbed Keamy in the neck. I forgot all about Sawyer jumping out of the helicopter after giving Freckles that passionate kiss. There was just so much I forgot about. I do remember how much I hate Charlotte. I loved Michael blowing up, but not Jin. I loved Desmond re-uniting with Penny. I loved that “The Others” came to the rescue. I love that Jack is miserable & Sun is going to get revenge. I love LOST all over again. God, I’ve missed it.
