She’s ready for her close-up!

Are you wondering who this is or do you already know? Check out if you’re right after the jump….If you said LaToya Jackson, you are right & she’s on 20/20 tonight talking to Barbara Walters about all the Jackson family secrets. Read on…..

(*Heads up here kids. Saturday’s viewing is on the sparse side, so I’m adding it to today’s post.*)

Before we get started, let me just say that last night’s Big Brother live show was a real snoozefest. The fact that BB alumni were there, didn’t help a bit in perking up a truly disappointing episode. Julie Chen’s LAME questions did nothing to add some much needed drama to the show. Why have Evel Dick on when he isn’t even allowed to get fired up?

LAME!!!

Okay, let’s move on. I loved Project Runway last night. It was really a great fashion show. I didn’t see anything awful in the designer’s creations for their models, who were their clients this week. It was refreshing to see something other than wacky, unwearable clothes. Too bad this is the exception & not the norm. Ah, who am I bullshittin’. I love the wacky!

What about tonight? No new shows, but there are a few season premieres. Remember, Friday is considered the “graveyard”, so network’s strongest shows won’t be on this night.

ABC’s 20/20 is back at 10pm & Barbara Walters is interviewing LaToya Jackson about her brother Michael. Seems she couldn’t get Janet, so she settled for the “other” crazy Jackson. I’m sure LaToya will give us a much more entertaining interview. If I’m not mistaken, Michael told LaToya to “beat it” a few years back. Can I just say this about Barbara, I’ve always been a fan & I tuned into The View yesterday, because they’ve just started their new season & it just seemed that (IMO) the woman was a tad confused at times. Whoopi did a great job of covering it up & moving on, but I really think it’s time for Ms. Walters to be put in a home stay at home & enjoy her dog.

Scary ain’t it!

Say Yes to the Dress begins it’s 4th season on TLC, at 9pm. A beauty contestant looks for a wedding dress that doesn’t look like a pageant dress. Sounds like a real tension builder. Let’s move on, shall we.

FOX is airing a new episode of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader at 8pm, followed by a repeat of their new show, Glee, at 9pm. So if you missed the first viewing, here’s your chance to see it. Alot of people are raving over this one. To me, it didn’t live up to all the promo hype they fed us all summer. I’ll probably watch it again, but if there is something more interesting on, this will get dvr’d for later.

USA has new episodes of Monk at 9pm, followed by Psych, at 10pm.
A new Realtime with Bill Maher is on HBO at 10pm. I’m sure he’ll have something to say about the President’s speech & the Republican’s reaction. Kathy Griffin is on the panel tonight.
Cesar Milan & The Dog Whisperer are back at 9pm, with a new episode. He has to make some puppies office friendly. No pooping on the floor!
Oh, & don’t forget The Soup, on E! at 10pm. Love that Joel McHale!

Saturday has a few interesting things you might want to check out.

To begin with, there are two new shows premiering & one is on WeTV. Some of you probably don’t even get that network. Adoption Diaries airs at 10pm. This is a sort-of documentary-reality show & it follows the process of an open-end adoption where the mother has an active role in the child’s life. In it’s first episode, an adopted woman decides to put her own baby up for adoption. It’s preceeded by the 3rd season premiere of The Locater, the reality show about finding loved ones, at 9pm. Be sure to have plenty of tissues when you sit down to watch these two shows.

The other new show premiering is American Beaver, and NO, it’s not about Britney, Paris or Lindsey getting out of a car! That’s on TMZ. This show is on NGC (National Geographic Channel) at 8pm. It’s kinda like Meerkat Manor but we get to watch the beavers do their thing.

Not an American Beaver!

FOX continues it’s new Fall line-up with the 23rd season of America’s Most Wanted. Wow! I remember when they tried to cancel this show & there was a public outcry to leave it on because it helped catch all those bad guys. It starts catching them again at 9pm, right after the season premiere of Cops at 8pm & again at 8:30pm.

ABC brings us the NASCAR Sprint Cup in Richmond for the Chevy Rock-n-Roll 400 at 7:30pm.
CBS is airing the U.S> Open Women’s Tennis Finals at 8pm.

The SYFY (formerly known as SciFi) has a new movie, Lightning Strikes, at 9pm. It stars Kevin Sorbo & is all about a monster who comes to town on a bolt of lightning!

If I have to choose the “Pick of the Night” for Friday, it would have to be 20/20 & the LaToya Jackson interview. I’m sure she’ll say things that will make all the gossip venues the next day.

Saturday is a little tougher. I guess I have to say, well, to be honest, none of the above! I think I’ll watch a movie.

My choices:
AMC has Lethal Weapon at 5:30pm, followed by LW 2 at 8pm & LW 3 at 10:30pm.
TCM is showing the classic 1957 Three Faces of Eve with Joanne Woodward as a woman who suffers multiple personalities. It’s based on a true story & won her an Oscar.
But I really think I’m going to watch Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) at 8pm. This sequel to the original is even better than the first.

I’d totally “do” him.

There ya have it for the next few days. Sunday is going to be just full out awesome. There is so much going on, starting with the season finale of True Blood on HBO. See you then!

    Good Lord!!!
I thought that picture was a mash-up. Looks like LaToya needs to get some De-constructive surgery.
