Hollywood is gearing up for the Academy Awards with one more awards show for us to watch. The Screen Actors Guild Awards airs tonight on TNT at 8pm. Forrest Whitaker will present the Life Achievment Award to James Earl Jones.

The networks are doing something a little bit different for Sunday night. Check it out after the jump!

ABC is airing a new, special episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition at 8pm. Ty Pennington will spend two hours rebuilding a home ravished by a tornado. Desperate Housewives follows at 10pm with a repeat of last week’s show about Beau Bridges, the dead handyman & how he touched all the wives. I’m sure he was quite handy with his touching of these skanks. No wonder they miss him.

CBS has a new Cold Case at the special time of 8pm, followed by the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie Loving Leah at 9pm. It stars Lauren Ambrose (Clair of “Six Feet Under”) who, under odd circumstances, marries the cardiologist brother of her dead husband. At least he’s a doctor.

NBC, not having any Sunday Night Football, has opted to air a new 2-part mini-series which begins tonight at 9pm, following Dateline NBC at 8pm. The Last Templar stars Mira Sovino, an archaeologist, & Scot Foley, an FBI agent, searching the globe for the secrets of the “Knight’s Templar” when an ancient device is stolen from NYC’s Metropolitan Museum. Famed actor Omar Shariff also makes an appearance. Part 2 airs tomorrow night at 9pm after the finale of SuperStars of Dance.

Incarceration is the theme for two cable channels tonight,

truTV has Inside American Jail, starting at 8pm, with 2 new episodes at 9 & 9:30pm.

Discovery has a new County Jail: Miami at 9pm, followed by a new Hard Time at 10pm.

Monopoly-Go-To-Jail-Card

E! has new episodes of The Girls Next Door at 10pm with Bridget finally getting an acting job in a whorer horror film. This is followed by Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood at 10:30pm. Snoop sends his kids back to school.

Our favorite polygamists are back for another episode of Big Love at 9pm. Anna has to go on a couple of quadruple dates with the Hendricksons, who want her to be wife #4. She’s not impressed. Bill’s parents hook up even though he’s got that new young wife, who’s sister is now Bill’s brother’s second wife. Got all that? Roman proves he’s still the ‘prophet’, even from a jail cell.

Flight of the Concords follows at 10pm. I finally got around to watching this show because everyone was raving about it. IMO, it’s stupid! I wasted a half-hour of my life on a moronic farce of a farce!

The History Channel has More Extreme Marksmen at 8pm. Different marksmen compete with whips, knives & crossbows. A history of these weapons is also examined.

NGC is airing On Board Airforce One at 8pm. We will get a tour of the President’s airplane & also get to ride with George Bush on his final flight back to Texas.

On Board Marine One is at 9pm and we get to see the President’s helicopter fleet which is quite substantial at 35. If it’s about helicopters, then why are they calling it ‘marine’?

Gerald-Falling

Showtime has The L-Word at 9pm, with the new show The United States of Tara at 10pm. Tara brings out her newest personality, Alice (who’s a ‘June Cleaver’), to deal with problems with her kids at school.

For all the geeks out there, SPIKETV has Afro Samurai: Resurrection, the animated sequel to the cult TV series, at 10pm. Samuel Jackson is the titular warrior out to defeat Lucy Liu’s army, who steals his father’s body from it’s grave. Mark Hamill also lends his voice to this action adventure.

My new favorite show, Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels is on VH1 at 9pm tonight. The skanks have to perform roadie jobs & set up the stage for a concert. One bitch falls backwards off the platform & an ambulance is called. I think she ends up okay, because she lands on her ‘airbags’.

Tool Academy is at 10pm. Two tools get in a tiff & they have a humility challenge. You would think that they would be humiliated to just be on this show.

That’s it for tonight kids. I’m watching Big Love & Rock of Love Bus & of course, United States of Tara.

Hallmark movies are usually depressing. We like to make bets on which character will die…because 95% of the time, someone does.

okay…maybe I’m just getting old. I actually liked the Hallmark movie (even though it opened with a funeral.)
