An HBO movie, Taking Chance, premieres tonught at 8pm. Kevin Bacon portrays Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, who volunteered to escort the body of PFC Chance Phelps, back to his home in Dubois, Wyoming. Chance was killed in Iraq, in the line of duty, on April 9, 2004. Lt. Strobl knew nothing of the marine or his background when he took on the task, but by the time PFC. Chance was laid to rest, Strobl missed him very much. This movie is based on an article Strobl wrote afterwards. He also co-wrote the script. It is about their journey together.

What else is on tonight? Nothing worth writng about. What little there is after the jump……

All the major networks are opting to air repeats tonight. FOX is the exception with a new episode of COPS at 8pm. John Walsh joins us at 9pm with a new America’s Most Wanted.

Whatcha Gonna Do….. When They Come For You? (I had to!)

Jeff Corwin, our friendly neighborhood animal observer from APL, is joining the FOOD Network tonight with Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin at 9pm. He’s going to examine the cuisine from Thailand. This should be all kinds of entertaining, if he acts like he does on his wild life shows.

This crazy woman just shit in my hands & wiped it on my face.”

SCIFI has a new movie, AVH: Alien vs. Hunter at 9pm. A hunter from outer space comes to earth to track an alien creature.

“Oh man…. ya got me……”

I really have nothing else of interest for you guys tonight. I’m sorry the networks think we all have social lives on the weekend.

Here’s a heads-up for ya. We will NOT see the final three episodes of Pushing Daisies as promised. Instead they will be shown at PALEYFEST’09. Tickets for this event can be bought on-line & it’s a $15 admission fee. Running April 10th to the 24th at the Arclight Cineramadome in Hollywood, tickets for the fan festival go on sale to Paley members on February 26th and become available to the public on March 1st. Also showing are “Unaired” Battlestar Galactica/Caprica: A Look Back/A Look Ahead, Swingtown, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Hills, 90210, Desperate Housewives, Big Love, The Big Bang Theory and The Mentalist. That’s a big WTF? in my book.

Now that I’m pissed, I got one thing to say & then I ain’t a gonna say no more……

Are any of you still watching ER on Thursday nights for it 15th & final season? If you are, did you see what I saw last Thursday? Carter getting Dialysis!!! I swear, if this is the way they are ending this show, with a tear-jerker, “John Carter is dying!” storyline, I will scream “COP OUT!!!” I’m still not over them making me suffer through Dr. Green’s torturous death. If this is the only way to get George Clooney & the rest back for the finale, it’s pathetic! I will watch, but only because I’m a diehard fan, but I’m not happy, not at all.

“Hi, I’m just here to die.”

There, I’ve had my say & I’m done (for now). Hope you all have a great weekend partying your asses off. Tomorrow THE OSCARS! & BIG LOVE!

You know, I was starting to wonder if we were ever going to get to see the final three episodes. And considering I live in Oregon, I guess I won’t be. Damn, that makes me really mad. Hopefully they will be on the DVD and I can watch them then.
