FOX has got a big night tonight. The return of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles at 8pm gets the ball rolling. Sarah gets a visit from John’s dad, Kyle, who came back to her in the form of a vision. Friday nights are in need of some good programming & this is just the start. I’m really excited about the new show that follows it. More about that after the jump………..

When I first heard of this new sci-fi series, I checked for a description. Here is what I found. Persons called “Actives” are wiped of all memories & emotions and then implanted with new ones for whatever mission they are chosen to do. When not on a mission, they are wiped “clean’ and left in a child-like state. They are kept in a secret laboratory called “The Dollhouse” and are controlled by “Handlers”. Tonight we are introduced to Echo, played by Eliza Duchku, an ‘active’ or ‘doll’, who is programmed to fill the needs of wealthy clients. These clients hire ‘dolls’ for such things as romantic partners to ass-kicking adventurers. From what I’ve read, these ‘dolls’ don’t like having their identity wiped clean & are trying to get control of their own minds. This is what I love! I hope this show will give me the sci-fi fix that I’m desperately seeking.

The cast of the new series Dollhouse on FOX tonight at 9pm.

ABC has a new Wife Swap at 8pm. The live-action fantasy game playing wife who lives in make-believe land is swapped out with a nit-picking, clean freak, real estate agent.

At 9pm it’s Supernanny, who has to deal with a verbally abusive husband who leaves everything to his working wife. He’s a real bum who’s been harassing his stepdaughter too. Has the Nanny ever called the cops before?

An in-depth report on the poverty in our own backyard is detailed on 20/20′s Hidden America: Children of the Mountains at 10pm. Diane Sawyer follows the lives of 4 children, ages 8-11, in their poverty-stricken community in the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky. Isolated pockets in Central Appalachia have three times the national poverty rate, an epidemic of prescription drug abuse, the shortest life span in the nation, toothlessness, cancer and chronic depression. I watched the previews on the ABC website & felt for these kids.

NBC has two back-to-back Howie Do It at 8 & 8:30pm. There’s a new Friday Night Lights at 9pm, followed by Dateline NBC at 10pm.

Ghost Whisperer is new at 8pm on CBS. The new series Flashpoint airs at 9pm. & NUMB3RS finishes off the night at 10pm.

Maybe I’ll find some ghosts on another network tonight?

The CW has repeats of Everybody Hates Chris & The Game at 8 & 8:30pm. A new episode of 13: Fear is Real airs at 9pm. The contestants are left alone in straight-jackets. Now that sounds more like a real pain in the ass then a real fear, but I’m not the one strapped in.

Let’s see…….. what else is there. Friday’s are tough, but I’ve found the following shows.

APL has a new Jockeys at 9pm. I watched this one when it premiered last week & really enjoyed it. The old veteran jockey is living with the beautiful new female jockey. They showcase this relationship tonight, but it’s the competiveness of these athletes that makes the show so compelling. It makes me want to place my bet!

Go Go Power Rangers!

CMT has Wedding Day Disasters at 10pm. I’m sure we’ve seen alot of these clips on other shows, but if you want to relish others misfortunes, this is a ‘must see’ event.

Adrenaline Rush Hour is on at 9pm on DSC. They are going to show us a drag racer crash, a tidal wave that threatens the tourists & a store clerk scaring off a robber with a pitchfork.

If you haven’t had enough yet, there’s a repeat of Going Postal: 15 Most Shocking Acts of Violence on E! at 8pm.

Ghosts.jpg

Here we are Jennifer!

truTV has Door to the Dead at 10pm. A psychic, a paranormal expert, & a private investigator probe a haunting of a family’s home, kinda like they did in Poltergeist, but this is the real thing.

TRAVEL has Most Haunted at 10pm. A favorite ghost haunting spot in a 16th century home in Bolton, England is toured.

Or how about BIO Channel’s Ghosts: Caught on Tape at 8pm. Celebrity Ghost Stories at 9pm & finally My Ghost Story: Hauntings Revealed at 10pm.

My head’s starting to hurt! Let’s wrap this up…..

New episodes of Monk & Psych at 9 &10pm on USA. These two shows are tops in the cable ratings & I can see why with what they are up against!

Don’t forget The Soup at 10pm on E!. Love that Joel McHale!

Finally, I saved the best for last! Battlestar Galactica is on at 10pm on the SCIFI channel. Ellen Tigh resurfaces among the Cylons & Anders tells Kara that he remembers everything!

It’s me! Ellen!

This is the best I could do for you guys today. I was hoping to find some reall y great shows for your viewing pleasure, but then again, there are some good shows on tonight. I’m all for Ghost Whisperer & Dollhouse.
