The Girls Are Movin’ On!
Tonight, at 10pm on E!, it’s the end of an era. The Girls Next Door are moving out of the Playboy Mansion & out of our lives. I, for one, will miss Holly, Kendra & Bridget. Those 18 yr old twins don’t hold a candle to these girl’s asses. (perfect asses. I might add) This ‘farewell’ & much, much more after the jump……..
The Girls Next Door has been my ‘guilty pleasure’ show for many years. I have loved watching Holly & “Puffin” dance around the talk of marriage and babies. Kendra’s annoying laugh & Bridget’s clueless wonder were delicious. But alas, the time has come to say goodbye to our sexy friends. They are being replaced by newer models. (It’s kinda creepy watching Hef fondle those young twins).
Bridget has procured a job with the TRAVEL Network, hosting her own show, Bridget’s Sexy Beaches It premieres on March 12th. Kendra is getting married to Philadelphia Eagles, Hank Baskett. Not only that, she will also have her own show, Kendra on E! as well. Holly, on the other hand, was dating Criss Angel, the magician, but E! has reported that the couple has split & Holly is living with family & continuing to pursue her career. Poor thing, couldn’t get Hef to commit & now the magic’s gone pfffsssst with Criss. (maybe she finally realized she was Pam Anderson’s sloppy seconds). Like I said. I will miss the girls.
Speaking of Playboy……….
Donald Trump gets to go an 8th season with the premiere of Celebrity Apprentice on NBC, at 9pm. He has gathered a whole new group of clowns to do idiotic tasks for their favorite charities. I totally loved it last season & I’m hoping to get into it again this time around. Trump has once again pitted the boys against the girls. Their first task is to make, bake & decorate cupcakes. Then they have to find a good location in NYC to sell them. The Donald’s children are back as his eyes & ears. You know the routine. Let’s just say, from the previews, the boardroom gets a little heated, even before the games begin. Here are the teams.
TEAM KOTU
L to R: Tom Green, Clint Black, Dennis Rodman, Jesse James, Andrew Dice Clay, Brian McKnight, Hershel Walker & Scott Hamilton
TEAM ATHENA
L to R: Melissa Rivers, Joan Rivers, Annie Duke, Tionne Watkins, Claudia Jordan, Brande Roderick, Natalie Gulbis & Kim Kardashian
Nina will never know where these pictures of her on the toilet came from! We have to thanks Mr. Kors!
The series premiere of Running in Heels airs tonight on Style at 8pm. This is Nina Garcia’s new show, which has been dubbed a docu-reality show. Three young interns, Ashley (mean-girl type), Samantha (cheerful small-town girl) & Talita (graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design) all live together & work at Marie Claire magazine. Nina has just taken over as the new fashion director after being ousted by ELLE magazine. (kinda like Wilhelmia’s job on Ugly Betty). We get an inside look at the real goings-on at a fashion magazine. All I can think of is Devil Wears Prada meets Stylista. Oh, the girls share their loft with Chanel, the chihuahua. I’m sure she will become the star!
I think I can get away with walking out the door with this.
I just need a minute. I’m not as young as I used to be.
Tom Selleck returns to CBS for Jesse Stone: Thin Ice at 9pm. This is his 5th time as the Paradise, Mass. Police Chief Jesse Stone, who this time finds himself in trouble with the Town Council when he inadvertently becomes involved in a shoot-out on a Boston street. Not only is he under investigation for the shooting, but he’s also helping a celebrated out-of-towner, who shows up in Paradise in search of her missing child, and Jesse agrees to take her case. From what I’ve read, Jesse is a real hard-nosed cop, who drinks too much & doesn’t listen to anybody, but he’s starting to get a little soft on crime & this bugs him. He seeks help from therapist who’s just as grumpy as he is. (William Devane). Sounds good on paper & Tom Selleck is still great to look at. It’s on CBS, so I’m sure lots of people will watch.
……….and let’s not forget, it follows The Amazing Race 14 which airs at 8pm. The nine teams travel to Romania where they must search for buried coffins near Dracula’s Castle & try their skills on a balancing beam at a gymnastics training center. One team loses a big lead when their plane needs to make an unplanned landing. (probablly that weirdo brother/sister team, Victor & Tammy. At least I hope so). Time for Phil pics!!!
“Girls, it takes great discipine to train the eyebrow to rise at just the right moment.”
“If I fall & hurt my package, you won’t be laughing.”
That’s the highlights for tonight’s viewing. I don’t know if any of you have noticed, but I’ve cut back on the daily schedules. It’s the time of year when alot of our favorite shows have had or are going to have their finales soon. Repeats are beginning to take over the airwaves. I will now be posting when something of interest is on. I may even combine the days. I’m hoping you will still look for my “heads up” articles. Wednesday is still “Ratings Day”.

I am really going to miss the girls. Bridget is my favorite but I’m attached to them all. The new girls suck. Boo. And I missed your TVP chooch. I don’t know what to watch without it.
