The much promoted Grey Gardens airs tonight on HBO at 8pm. If you aren’t familiar with the story, it is the true-life tale of Jackie-O’s eccentric relatives, specifically her aunt & cousin. “Big” Edie & “Little” Edie Bouvier Beale lived together in a run-down, rat-infested, East Hampton mansion back in the 70′s. Their peculiar behavior became the focus of a 1975 documentary which, I’m told, is much better than tonight’s movie adaption. Drew Barrymore & Jessica Lange play the mother/daughter duo. Drew has been on every possible venue whoring herself out for this film. She got my attention & I’ll watch it tonight. Will you?

CMT is premiering a new series tonight at 9pm. World’s Strictest Parents is called a reality show. Unruly teens are sent to the home of strict, no-nonsence parents where they must obey all the rules, do chores & there is no smoking, piercing or privacy. Sounds like a hell hole to me! I’d rather go to jail.

Are you wondering why I posted this lovey picture of Girls Next Door alumni Kendra Wilkinson? Is her new reality show Kendra on tonight? No, that doesn’t air until June. Tonight she is a guest judge on APL’s Groomer Has it 2 at 9pm. I really got into this show last season. The challenges are hilarious at times. I’m hoping this season is the same. At least the guest judges are interesting.

The SCIFI Channel is premiering the movie War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave at 9pm. It’s two years later & those awful Martians are back for more blood. Tom Cruise is nowhere to be found. He’s moved his family far, far away. C. Thomas Howell stars & directs this sequel. It went right to DVD when it was released.

Would you prefer to watch a “Classic” movie instead? TCM has two Oscar winning films for your cinematic pleasure.

That’s all I have for a Saturday night. If you’re looking for some mindless action, you can always tune into FOX for NASCAR Racing: The Sprint Cup in Phoenix. It’s the “Subway Fresh Fit 500″ & start time is 8pm. Jimmie Johnson is vying for his 4th straight victory.

……. oh, I almost forgot! One final sidenote….. True Blood returns to HBO for it’s second season on Sunday, June 14th!!! I can’t wait. I need to know if that’s Lafayette’s hand hangin’ outta that car door!!!
