Tonight on CBS, the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards airs at 8pm. Reba McEntire will be the host for her 11th time. “Entertainer of the Year” is the biggie & here are the nominees in no particular order:

Kenny Chesney (4 time winner)

Brad Paisley (up for a total of 6 awards)

George Strait ( won one time, twenty years ago)

Carrie Underwood (the only girl nominated)

Keith Urban (the hottest of the bunch. My pick to win)

Some of the big star performers are Trace Atkins, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw & Taylor Swift. That’s alot of “T’s”. Well, Sugarland & Rascal Flatts are also scheduled to perform.

Sticking with the C&W theme, 60 Minutes on CBS has Dolly Parton sitting down to talk with Morley Safer at 7pm, before the Awards show. She is promoting her Broadway version of 9 to 5. She also lets Morley know that there are really three of her, Dolly the entertainer, Dolly the business manager, & Dolly the Bullshitter! Hahaha! I love her & if I ever got plastic surgery, I’d go to her doctor. She doesn’t look frozen with one expression, all tight & stiff.

Speaking of tight & stiff, Joan Rivers has a huge fight with Clint Black on Celebrity Apprentice tonight at 9pm on NBC. The “Donald” decides to put Joan on the boy’s team since they are dwindling fast. Her & Clint clash almost immediately. Why doesn’t anyone like Clint? I think he’s very gentlemanly. I also think he’s had a little botox too. His face seems a tad preserved.

The Tudors is premiering it’s 3rd season on ShowTime at 9pm. King Henry VIII takes his 3rd wife in hopes of finally having a male heir. The new Queen is pushing to have the king’s daughter, Princess Mary returned to the court. Henry is also having problems in the north. His anti-Catholic crusade is not going over too well there. I haven’t watched this show, but my friends are raving about it & after watching previews on ShowTimes site, I’m excited. This looks like my kind of entertainment!

The season finale of The United States of Tara is also on ShowTime tonight at 10pm. I can’t believe this season is over already. We are just starting to get somewhere with these wacko personalities & it’s ending. I’ve admitted in the past that this is my ‘guilty pleasure’ show. I don’t know why I watch, I just do. I’m hoping it’s picked up for another season. I need to know why Tara’s “T” was making out with her son’s boyfriend!

HBO is premiering it’s 2nd season of In Treatment at 9 & 9:30pm. We will meet two new patients of Dr. Paul Weston, Mia the lawyer & April the troubled teen. Tomorrow night (Monday 4/6) the show will go from 9pm to 10pm with 3 episodes. We are introduced to 2 other new patients, 6th grader Oliver & business executive Walter & we also get to meet Paul’s therapist, Gina played by Dianne Wiest.

AMC has a new episode of Breaking Bad at 10pm. After all that Jesse went through last week, I can’t believe things can get much worse! Walter’s wife is being a total bitch & the bills are piling up. I think it’s time for Walter & Jesse to get back in the business. Who would have thought that making meth could be so exciting to watch!

A Lion Called Christian airs at 8pm on APL. It’s the documented story of two men who bought a lion cub to attract customers to their boutique. When it got to hard to handle him, they took Christian the Lion to the famed George Adamson who, with his wife, successfully retrained pet lions to live in the wilds of Africa. What makes this story noteworthy is the YouTube videos that surfaced after the men returned to Africa in search of Christian, who immediately recognized them & was happy to see them. I’m a huge fan of Joy Adamson’s book, Born Free about their pet lioness Elsa. I will be DVR’ing this one.

The series premiere of River Monsters airs at 10pm on APL. This series will study the types of fresh water fish that eat humans. Tonight’s first episode focuses on the obvious, the Piranha, found in the Amazon River. I wonder what other fish want to eat us?

MSNBC’s Cynthia Lester has gone to great length to give us an inside look into the life of her mother & her disturbing mental illness. Tonight at 10pm, her documentary My Mother’s Garden is showcased. Mom Eugenia is a hoarder. Her house was so full that she slept in the backyard on a chaise lounge. She claimed she loved it out there. She was much closer to nature under the stars. She was about to lose her home because of the massive amounts of clutter. The city was going to have it condemned. Cynthia & her brothers stepped in to try and get rid of it all. She documented the whole emotional dilemma.

With Easter just around the corner, DSC has a 3-part series tonight starting at 8pm. Who Was Jesus? traces the historical life of Jesus Christ from childhood till his last days on earth. Biblical scholar Rachel Havrelock host the series, dispelling myths & inaccurate facts about the Christian Savior of mankind.

VH1 has new episodes of The Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels & Tough Love at 9 & 10pm. Bret takes the final three skanks on individual dates so he can figure out which one is right for him till next season. They are all awful so it’s going to be easy for him to dump the winner after the show ends.

Over on Tough Love, Steve is going to teach the girls that dating the guy also means dating his friends cuz if they don’t like you, you haven’t got a chance!

I think that’s about it for a Sunday night. Oh yeh… ABC is running all repeats tonight, even Desperate Whoreswives.
