“Season of Second Chances”
The 8th season of The Biggest Loser premieres tonight on NBC at 8pm. See what it’s up against after the jump…..Before we talk about what’s on tonight, I’d like to confess that I watched The Jay Leno Show last night. I really wanted to see what he had to offer us at 10pm. It seems it’s just more of the same, minus the desk. I did enjoy the performance by Jay-Z, Rihanna & a shamed Kanye West. The truth is, I watched to see if Jay got the scoop & HE DID! The fact is, he did a number on Kanye, leaving him speechless & hanging his head in shame, at the mention of what his departed mother would have thought of his behavior. Cudos to Leno for that moment.
FINALLY! The dude’s got nothin’ to say!
Now let’s move on to tonight’s fare:
As I said, The Biggest Loser premieres at 8pm, on NBC. It’s all about “second chances’ & Daniel Wright, from S#7, returns to see just how much more he can lose, clocking in a 312lbs. The heaviest contestant to ever compete is 476lb Shay Sorrells. One more thing, Bob & Jillian will be working together this time . I guess everyone was tired of Bob’s team always losing. I think it will make for a kinder atmosphere.
Of course, The Jay Leno Show follows at 10pm. (no kidding?) Michael Moore is the primary guest. I’m sure he’s there to promote his newest film, “Capitalism: A Love Story” which comes out Oct. 2nd. Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz make an appearance to introduce a new segment, “10 at 10″. I’m going to have to admit that I’ll probably DVR this tonight.
BIG BROTHER 11 season finale is LIVE tonight, on CBS, at 9pm. It’s a two-hour ending to an often tumultuous summer. The power shifts ruled the house, with everyone climbing on the HOH bandwagon. The final 3 left inside the BB house will compete one last time for that HOH power & who will go before the jury of their peers as Final two. One will win $500,000. There will be a reunion, bringing everyone back together on last time to talk about each other & hopefully find out just who the LIARS really were!
Beauty -Jordan from the “Popular Clique”
Beast – Natalie from the “Athletes Clique”
Winner? – Kevin? from the “Offbeat Clique”
Now how’d he get in here?
Hmmmmm…. is there anything else on worth watching tonight? Yes there is:
ABC has Shaq vs Michael Phelps at 9pm. That big, hulking lug is going to take on Phelps, racing in the pool. Shaq is getting a head-start handicap so he at least has a chance (in hell) of winning.
“Dude, go hit that bong while I start.”
FOX has the season finale of More To Love at 8pm. Luke has to pick between Malissa & Tali. He takes both of them on one last date each, to see who he’s going to ask to be his wife. Do I think this proposal is going to last any longer than on other shows? No, just because they are fat, doesn’t mean they’re desperate. I hope this isn’t renewed.
The CW has new episodes of 90210 at 8pm & Melrose Place at 9pm. I’ve read that the later didn’t do so well it’s first week. Some saying the show sucked. No opinion here, I didn’t watch. Did anyone else, if so, what did you think?
A&E has the 2nd season finale of the Benjamin Bratt drama, The Cleaner, at 10pm. Tonight he helps Richard Lewis overcome his addictions. It’s what he does. I often wonder if he regrets breaking up with Julia Roberts. (Ben that is.)
Another new episode of Sons of Anarchy on FX at 10pm. This show opened last week to great ratings. Let’s see how it does tonight against Leno’s show. (I will have all the ratings for you tomorrow.)
BRAVO has Flipping Out, also at 10pm against Leno. Jeff gets sick & thinks he’s been poisoned. He has just landed this huge, big-budget client & money problems send him into a tizzy. He has to trust Jenni to take care of the clients for him. This season has started out really good. Jeff is still a huge OCD ass about everything & it’s fun to watch the little things that set him off. I’m still a fan.
How can you not love a guy who cleans!
Finally tonight, on CMT, we have Chonda Pierce: “This Ain’t Prettyville”. at 8pm. Chonda is a “family-friendly” stand-up comedienne & her comedy comes from her Christian beliefs. She reminds me of Peggy Hill!
A Sunday School teacher asked a little boy, “Bobby, do you believe in the devil?”
“No,” said the little boy. “He’s just like Santa Claus. He’s my daddy.”
There ya have it kids. Of course my “Pick of the Night” is Big Brother. I can only hope that CBS puts together a “Natalie” montage, showing everyone how awful she was at times, no make that, ALL THE TIME!!!
love

Chooch, thanks for the Biggest Loser info. I didn’t even realize it was going to be on tonight.
You’re welcome Clair. That’s what I’m here for.
Chooch you crack me up sneaking Jessie in wherever you can. I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw that picture pop up on the NBC Nightly News some evening.
