I swear she has a tape worm.

Seems like only yesterday, doesn’t it…. that we saw the newest winner of Project Runway. Who was that now? I truly don’t remember who won! Well, anyways, another season is upon us. It’s season #7 (or #2 in Lifetime years) of Project Runway on tonight at 10pm. Lifetime has decided that being in LA was a bust so they have brought everyone back to New York City. Let’s hope it helps. They are promising that Nina & Michael will stick around for the runway shows & that’s a plus. Will Heidi be pregnant? We shall see….

I don’t think this is the Carnie we’ll see.

The Gameshow Channel is having a mid-life crisis of sorts. They seem to think that games are not all there is anymore. To fill their emptiness they are looking at reality… as in Carnie Wilson: Unstapled premiering tonight at 8pm. Does anyone remember Naturally Stoned with gameshow king, Chuck Woolery?

Appropriate title, don’t ya think.

Since the successful revival of The Newlywed Game, with Wison as host, GSN thinks we need to see MORE of her. So now we will. No sign of her crazy dad, Brian Wilson, but we will get to see ex-wrestler Diamond Dallas Page, as her trainer. I tend to confuse Carnie with Rikki Lake. Am I alone?
Hidden Agenda, a NEW gameshow, follows at 8:30pm. The premise of this game is for one member of a couple to try & get their partner do odd things that they normally wouldn’t do, all without their knowledge. For everything they get them to do, they win a prize. Hmmmm…. this is in the kid-friendly timeslot, so I don’t think we’ll see hubby trying to get a blow job in the garage.

spy spoof spy spoof spy spoof….. hahaha!

Archer premieres tonight on FX, at 10 & 10:30pm. This is an animated cartoon, about a James Bond-type spy, who’s basically an idiot. It’s called a “spy spoof”. Just typing that makes me laugh, but I’m hearing that it tries too hard at being crude with nudity & swear words, that it’s just stupid & not in the funny way either.

MMMMM….. Cake!

Ace of Cakes starts it’s 8th season tonight at 10pm, on FOOD. This is a cross-over show , with the crew of Man Caves from the DIY Network, coming out to re-do Duff’s basement into the ultimate “Man Cave”. Along the way, someone will make some cake too! This is definitely the best “cake show” out there. It beats the hell out of TLC’s The Cake Boss. That dude & his whole family are sooo annoying. They make me want to kick them in their cakes.

Other cable shows premiering tonight are:
The First 48 on A&E begins it’s 10th season at 9pm. This gritty reality cop show is followed by the 2nd season premiere of Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force at 9:30pm. Both shows make us feel that our tax dollars aren’t wasted.
Models of the Runway will once again follow Project Runway on Lifetime at 11pm. A lot of fans enjoyed this show more than PR this past season. I wonder if they get all new models?

All of the networks are rolling out their returning shows tonight. Everyone’s got new episodes & it makes it hard to choose what to watch. The CW has decided to die or something. They are continuing to roll with the repeats.

My Guys!

CBS, the ratings confidentes, has a repeat of The Mentalist at 8pm. At 9pm, CSI is back with an all new episode. I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again: “I love this show!” Grissom or no Grissom, it still has the best detective/whodunit storylines of them all. A new episode of CBS’s darling, The Mentalist airs at 10pm. I must confess, I don’t watch this. I usually switch to something on cable at 10pm & tonight will be no different.

Will Arnett is Amy’s blind date. Will it work?

NBC has it’s “comedy night” on tonight. It starts with the return of Community at 8pm. Jack Black tries to weasel his way into the group.
Parks & Recreations is at 8:30pm & Will Arnett, Amy Poehler’s real husband, is her blind date tonight. Nepotism lives!!!
Two back-to-back new episodes of 30 Rock at 9 & 9:30pm. Jack gets in trouble for leaving a sexy, drunken message which comes back to haunt him ala Pat O’Brien.
The Jay Leno Show follows at 10pm & the only reason I mention it is because his ratings have gone from a measley 4.2 to 6.6 this past week. He & The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien have both enjoyed rating highs. Everyone is tuning in to see just what each has to say. Not surprisingly, Jay has all but clammed up about the whole ugly scandal. Conan is still striking back at his network bosses & everyone is on his side. Even though both are getting an increase in ratings, The Late Show with David Letterman is still ahead of the game, using his show to take aim at not only NBC but Jay Leno as well. Don’t ya love scandal. I bet Tiger Woods is glad to see it!

bones.jpg
“We want to play ‘bury the bone’!”

Over at FOX, Bones returns with a new episode at 8pm. Brennan & Booth go looking for a UFO fanatic’s alien-type bones in New Mexico.
Fringe follows at 9pm.

ABC has decided to run a repeat of Grey’s Anatomy at 8pm, to remind it’s viewers what was going on when it last aired, a long time ago. A refreasher course, you could say! A new episode follows at 9pm.
Private Practice returns at 10pm with it’s new episode.

I don’t think I forgot anything. My “Pick of the Night” is Project Runway at 10pm on Lifetime.
