“No worries Jay, I’m here to save the network!”
I have a funny feeling that NBC has been working on this “new” schedule long before the Leno scandal & subsequent cancellation. They saw it coming & pretty much had this 10pm time-slot nailed down. So after the 2010 Winter Olympics ends on Feb. 28th, this is what we’ll be seeing….
Pulled from the ‘cancellation barrel’.
Monday, Mar. 1st:
8pm: Chuck
9pm: Law & Order This is being moved from Friday & will have a 2-hr “premiere” in it’s new timeslot.
Trauma will air at 9pm, starting Mar. 8th, for at least 6 episodes & Law & Order will move to 10pm. Where the hell did Heroes go?
Some familiar faces on Parenthood
.
Tuesday, Mar. 2nd:
8pm: Biggest Losers NBC’s biggest success will continue with it’s 2-hour show at it’s regular time.
10pm: Parenthood This new drama series was originally planned to premiere on Mon. Mar.1st at 9pm. Executive producers Ron Howard & Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights) claim it is similar to the 1989 movie of the same name. Lots of big TV names in this one. The cast includes Craig T. Nelson (Coach)& Peter Krause (Six Feet Under & Dirty, Sexy Money). Maura Tierney (ER’s Abby) was originally cast as Krause’s wife, but had to withdraw from the show due to breast cancer treatments. She was replaced by Monica Potter (Young & the Restless).
Wednesday, Mar. 3rd:
8pm: Mercy This show has been threatened with cancellation in the past.
9pm: Law & Order:SVU repeats. NBC loves to relyon their cloned show. Thus they will air a repeat before a new episode.
10pm: Law & Order: SVU new episodes.
The “Golden Goose” returns to save NBC.
Thursday, March 4th:
In sticking with their Thursday night comedy line-up, what better place to put Jerry Seinfeld’s new show. Marriage Ref, a reality-type comedy show, was Jerry’s wife, Jessica’s idea, or so he says. It was originally suppose to air on Feb. 28, after the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. It may still do that, but it’s new timeslot is 10pm on Thursday nights. Each show will have couples who will argue & fight while being filmed at home. A panel of celebrities, in a studio, will then debate over who’s right & who’s wrong, while comedian Tom Papa, “the Marriage Ref”, listens & then he makes the final joke decision. Some of the “celebrities lined up to do the show are NBC stars, such as Tina Fey & Alex Baldwin. Kinda looks like Jerry’s not even going to be on the show. I call bullshit to that!
8pm: Community
8:30pm: Parks & Recreation
9pm: The Office
9:30pm: 30 Rock
10pm: Marriage Ref
Seriously… Seth Myers & Mr. Burns related?
Friday, Mar. 5th:
8pm: Who Do You Think You Are? This is Lisa Kudrow’s idea of a “reality” show. I’ve read the promos & I’m still not getting it. Why do I want to know the family tree of celebrities, although I’m guessing they have “hilarious ancestry”. The premiere episode will focus on the family trees of Howie Mandel and Seth Myers, linking them to Pinhead and Mr. Burns respectively.
9pm: Dateline NBC The news/murder magazine will go 2 hours.
Friday Night Lights is expected to take the 10pm timeslot on April 30th. Why not in February? It’s airing on DirectTV’s ION channel now, is that why?
Saturday, Mar. 6th:
They will continue their “repeat night” as usual. This seems to work well for them.
8pm: The Biggest Loser repeats
9pm: Law & Order repeats
10pm: Law & Order: SVU repeats
Best Batch Ever!
Sunday, Mar. 7th & 14th:
7pm: Dateline NBC
8pm: Minute To Win It The premiere of a new gameshow which is pretty much what it title suggests. This stunt show has contestants trying to perform a number of stunts, each with a 60 second time limit, for up to $1,000,000. This will premiere on Mar. 14th.
9pm: Celebrity Apprentice Trump has found a great cast for this season & I’m looking forward to it. Among the “celebrities” are Sharon Osborne, Cyndi Lauper, Darryl Strawberry, Rod Blagojevich, wrestler Bill Goldberg & my favorite, Brett Michaels of Rock of Love fame. This show will not premiere untl Mar. 14th
So what do you think of this new line-up? will you be watching more on NBC now? And my big questionis… Will you watch Jay Leno when he takes back The Tonight Show?
love
chooch
If you like it, spread it!:

The only NBC worth watching is on Thursdays from 7-8:30 (CST – prime time should start at 7 dammit! That’s the way god intended. So there.). Community, the outstanding Parks and Recreation, and The Office are the only shows worth watching on NBC. (30 Rock has been sucking all season.)
It sounds like they’re trying to go all CBS with their Wed. and Sat. night programming of procedural hell. My dad will be happy. ‘Course, he’s 67.
said it before and i’ll say it again, this network is atrocious. there is practically nothing worth watching AT ALL on this station.
I’ll watch Celebrity Apprentice, but only because of this years cast. Nope, will not watch Jay Leno on the Tonight Show and it has nothing to do with this fiasco. He’s just not entertaining.
