Christmas Eve is always full of “Marathons” so that the TV stations can run on a skeleton crew. This is a short list of those shows that will run continuously through-out the day.

A&E: “Dog the Bounty Hunter” begins at 8am & ends at 9pm. “Parking Wars” starts at 10pm & ends at midnight. “Dog the Bounty Hunter” then begins again.

APL: “Orangutan Island” begins at 7pm.

BRAVO: “Top Chef” starts at 9am & ends at 10pm with “Top Chef Holiday Special”. Cuisine cheftestants from seasons past vie for a $20,000 prize in a holiday cook-off. (repeat from 2007)

DSC: “Man vs.Wild” begins at 11am.

GSN: “Family Feud” starts at 9am & ends at 9:30pm.

MTV: “True Life” begins at 2pm & ends at midnight.

NGC: DogTown begins at 2pm

OXYGEN: Jane Dickinson’s Modeling Agency begins at 8am til 3pm.

SCIFI: “Scariest Places on Earth” starts at 8am & “Ghost Hunters” tags in at 7pm.

SPIKE: James Bond Movies:

9am: “Thunderball”. (1965) Sean Connery

12pm: “You Only Live Twice” (1967) Sean Connery

2:30pm: “Diamonds Are Forever” (1971) Sean Connery

5:30pm: “Never Say Never Again” (1983) Sean Connery

8:30pm: “Die Another Day” (2002) Pierce Brosnan

TBS: “A Christmas Story” (1983) Darren McGavin, starts it’s 12hr. marathon at 8pm.

TLC: 17 Kids and Counting starts out at 2pm with “On the Road with 16 Children”

TRAVEL: Paradise Series starts at 9am with “Breakfast Paradise” & ends at 9pm with “Ribs Paradise”.

ABC:

“The Chronicles of Nadia: The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe” at 8pm.

At 1:05am, the will air “Christmas Eve from the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi” in San Francisco.

CBS has all repeats & at 11:35pm will air “Voices of Christmas” hosted by the National Council of Churches.

NBC is re-broadcasting the classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life” at 8pm. Jimmy Stewart & Donna Reed, once again save the town’s Savings & Loan Bank. Even thought this movie was made in 1946, it is so relevent to what’s happening financially in 2008. Too bad Jimmy isn’t here to save us.

At 11:35pm, they take us to the Vatican in Rome for “Christmas Eve at St. Peter’s Basilica” with Pope BenedictXVI celebrating mass at midnight.

PBS has “Christmas with the Morman Tabernacle Choir” at 8pm. The King’s Singers from Britain join the Choir singing all the holiday favorites.

CMT has “Toby Keith Classic Christmas” at 11pm.

COMEDY Central has “Bad Santa” at 11pm.
