The People’s Choice Awards nominees have been announced. I just have one question: “What people are choosing these nominees?” Cable shows are seriously lacking in all categories. Why, when these are the networks turning out some of the best TV we’ve seen in years, are they so blatantly ignored? The basic TV list after the jump. You decide.

Vote

The 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards will air this January 7th on CBS. Queen Latifah will be the host for the evening. You can vote for your favorites in movies & TV at their official website & possibly win a trip to the event which will be held at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

You can go to their official site and vote for one of ‘their’ picks, but I will be having my own TVGasm People’s Choice Awards”. Check TV Patrol next week for the details. We shall be heard!!!!

About

I'm a retired barwhore, who owned a drinking establishment for 20+ years. I've seen it all & done alot of it myself. I AM TV Patrol! I keep you all informed on new shows, specials, cancellations & the Nielson Ratings. I also contribute to "About Last Night". Award shows & the red carpet fashions in "Fashiongasm" are also on my agenda. I'm an expert in television viewing & I'm not afraid to voice my opinion about what sucks or doesn't suck on TV. Oh... and I'm always right.

The lackluster options year after year is why I don’t bother to vote for the so-called People’s Choice awards.

As a protest, I too will abstain from voting.

Honestly, the PEOPLE ought to decide who gets nominated AND who wins. Example, put all of the tv dramas on a list and people have to pick their top five. The top 5 that get that number of votes get a nom. Then, from there, people pick their favorite of those five.

And CSI needs some more nominations – Marg Helgenberger and William Peterson are both great, and Gary Dourdan as well. L-A-M-E.
