” I need you to come down to the basement Sam.”
……. and that was the last we heard.
Life on Mars returns tonight at 10pm, following LOST on ABC. It’s been a long time baby! This is a new day & time for Mars, but I’m just happy it’s back! The music alone is enough for you to tune in. I re-watched the last episode just to get me pumped for tonight. The cliffhanger ending was so intense! I’m wondering if Sam will ever catch his murderous old man. Maybe we’ll have that answer tonight, but I’m doubtful. More of what’s on after the jump!
There is, of course, a new episode of LOST at 9pm, following a repeat of p#2 of the season premiere at 8pm. Tonight is supposed to focus on the island & what’s happening to our castaways. I hope so. I’m tired of ‘the real world’ & Jack, already. The producers are promising that this episode focuses on Desmond & how “special’ he really is. Yay!
CBS is doing something odd tonight. They are airing The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric at 8pm. Why? I haven’t figured that out just yet. Maybe they’re so confident in their standings that they think they can air anything & people will tune in, but Katie Couric though? Yuk! I hated her ass when she was on Today & have never watched her at 6:30pm for the news, why would I watch her in primetime. Maybe CBS just doesn’t want to waste any good shows against the American Idol hour. That’s why they’re repeating an episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine at 8:30pm. They are smart enough to put a new episode of ratings grabber CSI: NY at 10pm to compete against the other scripted dramas at that hour. Somehow, CBS has it all figured out.
Without that finger, she wouldn’t have a sex life!
Of course, FOX has another night of auditions on American Idol at 8pm. I’ve heard rumors that Simon has a bit of a ‘go-around’ with new judge, Kara. Idol fans are hoping so, ‘cuz the general concensus is that they all hate her bigtime. Auditions finish up tomorrow night at 8pm. Then it’s on to Hollywood where the real competitions begin.
FOX’s new drama,Lie To Me airs at 9pm, after Idol. This show di awesome in the ratings beating out LOST‘s premiere last week. (upsetting me!) I watched it & was pleasantly surprised. Tim Roth as an expert in the art of reading someone’s body launguage to determine if they are lying, makes me believe he can really do just that. I just hope it doesn’t turn into a copy of The Mentalist on CBS.
CW has repeats of Privileged & 90210 at 8 & 9pm.
OH! I forgot about NBC! Sorry, but I’m not the only one. A new episode of Knight Rider is on at 8pm, followed by a repeat of Law & Order: SVU at 9pm. A new Law & Order is on at 10pm to compete with the other network dramas. This show usually does well in the ratings, even if it is an old-timer. It will be interesting to see how it does tonight.
Top Chef, on BRAVO at 10pm, is right in tune with the times. It’s a Super Bowl challenge. The cheftestants are competing against previous Top Chef competitors from the past. Andrew & Spike (the dudes with the hats) from S#4, Camille from S#3, & Josie from S#2 return to make the perfect half-time feast. This sounds like a really exciting episode. I’m a huge Fabio fan (I’m a sucker for an accent) but I’m not sur he’ll do well with football food. I’ll be glad to see Andrew & Spike. They’re fun to watch together. What do the veterans get if they win?
There are new episodes of:
Damages on FX at 10pm.
Real World: Brooklyn on MTV at 10pm.
Ghosthunters International on SCIFI at 9pm.
Clean House on Style at 10pm.
Do Not Disturb? HUH? What??
FOOD Netwook has a new Ultimate Recipe Showdown at 10pm. I love the fact that normal home cooks get to compete for $25,000. This week it’s “Hot & Spicy” dishes.
HISTORY has Modern Marvels at 8pm. What brought this show to my attention was it’s topic tonight. They will be delving into the history of UNDERWEAR! Now where did our undergament come from? How DID invent panties, boxers, briefs & bras? Well, they are going to tell us tonight. I’m definitely adding this one to my dvr list.
Meet Your Maker!
TRAVEL has my NEW favorite show on tonight. I’ve become a fan of Man v. Food at 10pm. The fact that host Adam Richman travels the country looking for eating challenges is a great way to live, but for how long. Some of the foods he tries to devour are pure heart attacks on a plate! Tonight he takes on 100 oysters in one sitting at th famed Acme Oyster House in New Orleans. Can he do it? I think he will.
“A loaf of bread,” the Walrus said,
“Is what we chiefly need:
Pepper and vinegar besides
Are very good indeed–
Now if you’re ready, Oysters dear,
We can begin to feed.”
A new documentary series begins tonight at 10pm on the Discovery Channel. Cosmic Collisions will study all the things out there in space that could come to earth and wipe us all out. I don’t want to know about things that I can do absolutely nothing about. I like to believe that someday Capt. Kirk will take off in the Enterprise & use it’s proton torpedoes to keep us safe! Tonight’s show is all about asteriod collisions. Do we really need to know that we can’t hide in the basement on this one?
I can just rent it on video!
I think that’s about it for tonight. There is so much going on that I just don’t know if I’ll be able to see all that I want to. My dvr’s gonna melt.
Don’t forget tomorrow night is Flipit’s & Greybishop’s radio call-in show to discuss all things
LOST. It’s at 7pm & Flipit has
posted a link to how to get onboard. Join us, it’s fun & interesting too!
