TV Patrol: Wow! It’s Wednesday!

Tonight on ABC’s LOST at 9pm, we get the best of both worlds. Locke promises to stop the island from skipping by going down a well ( pssst… the smoke monster makes an appearance) & meanwhile, back in the future, Ben is dodging another bullet. But time’s running out. Things need to wrap up by the end of next season. Answers, damn it, we need answers! (but not too many…) Let’s jump in…..

American Idol is going to dominate the airwaves tonight on FOX, at 8pm. The two hour show will wrap up the Hollywood auditions & in the end, we’ll be down to 36. Next week, they will start weeding thru those guys, & we can get down to the 12 finalists. Will the ‘wildcard’ come into play then, with each judge picking a call-back? Do we then end up with 16? One things for sure, we’ll see our winner tonight (because we haven’t seen ‘em so far).

CBS has The New Adventures of Old Christine at 8pm. Christine is left literally alone when Matt & Barb move out & her kid goes to camp. A melt-down ensues. Gary Unmarried airs at 8:30pm & Criminal Minds follows at 9pm. Finally, at 10pm, it’s CSI: NY.

Knight Rider is still on NBC. It has a new episode tonight at 8pm. (look for it to show up on Saturday too). LIFE is back at 9pm. This show was well liked, but no one knows where & when it’s on anymore. Law & Order is new at 10pm.

ABC has a repeat of last week’s LOST at 8pm. The new episode is at 9pm. Life On Mars airs at 10pm. I was so happy to see them wrap up the November cliffhanger last week. It was sooo good & the music was awesome too. I’m hoping the ratings get better, because it would be a shame to lose this show.

The CW is airing repeats of Privileged at 8pm & 90210 at 9pm.

FX has Damages at 10pm. The ratings are in the toilet on this one. Don’t expect it back for another season.

MTV has Real World: Brooklyn also at 10pm.

STYLE is airing a new episode of Clean House at 10pm too.

SCIFI has a new Ghost Hunters International at 9pm.

A&E has two repeat episodes of Dog the Bounty Hunter at 9 & 9:30pm, but a new one at 10pm, followed by a new Exterminators at 10:30pm. I bring this up because “Dog” is doing great in the cable ratings. Go figure, Right?

Top Chef, on BRAVO at 10pm, is down to the last elimination challenge for our remaining cheftestants, before the finale. The two guest judges tonight are Chef Wylie Dufresne & celebrity cook, Jacques Pepin. (I don’t know who the f*ck either one of them are). I read somewhere that Chef Gordon Ramsey was going to be a guest judge one week. Well it better be next week if we’re getting down to the finale.

In the food department, TRAVEL has Man v. Food at 10pm. This week, their traveling garbage disposal, Adam Richman, tackles a 12-egg omelete served at Beth’s Cafe in Seattle. He also tries his luck at a double bacon deluxe w/ cheese at Red Mill’s Burgers. You can actually SEE his arteries clog as he eats.
