Well folks, we have decided that we are going to take this blogging thing up a notch. We have always considered TVgasm a way for you to enjoy watching television like you were in the company of some great friends who occasionally make witty comments in the midst of their constant ego-stroking. All kidding aside, we would like to have you join us tonight, live on the west coast for American Idol. Click here to go to our live streaming page. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to blur my face and it’s hard to hear me through a paper bag, so I will be unpixelated. Luckily, my good friend Katie will be joining me and she’s a lot easier on the eyes, and plenty snarky as well. We’re not sure how it will go, but we hope it will be fun, and if people like it, you can look forward to more.

    I think it’s wrong how excited I am to see J-Unit unpixelated. It’s the end of an era. No More Pixelation on TVGasm!

    My husband has been so concerned about my TVgasm addiction that he just may leave me after I drag the laptop out while we watch American Idol tonight! As long as he leaves me the DVR and the internet connection I think I’ll be ok.

    I don’t think I can watch it. I can never watch any of the Clipgasms b/c I have Quicktime, but not the newest version (which I can’t download either I think). Boo-hoo for me. :(

    It would be a lot of fun if you could somehow incorporate a chatroom with your video stream.

    Hey guys- Update your quicktime here- you shouldn’t have a problem unless you are running a much older OS on your computers.

    Finally got clipgasm to work … the test-link to the download worked great.

    Can’t wait to see pics of tvgasm-ers dressed as their favorite American Idol. J-Unit as Mandisa … that’s gonna be good!

    that’s why I can’t download it derder. My computer OS is still 98. So I talked to a cute boy on the phone instead. Not a bad trade off!

    I had no trouble hearing Katie but I had some trouble hearing J-Unit. :(

    No upgrade, no cable, no TiVo, no rich husband to buy these things for me. Poor (literally) me.

    Maybe I should take a second job in the phone sex industry. I do like to talk!

    Hey peeps of tvgasm how much fun was that??? except it took my mom 45 mins to figure out how to turn the computer on so she missed all of it! hells bells! Anyway stayed tuned for ANTM tomorrow, I cant wait to rip on that show! You people are all undeniably fabulous!!!!!!

    Nice to see you J-Unit and Katie. I have a cable modem and I’m on a Mac but I still had problem with video going all scrambled and such. You might want to try something less elaborate. Maybe a live audio stream that can later be made into a podcast that you can synch up to an episode you have recorded on a DVR or VCR. Just a bit weird/distracting to watch people watching TV while you’re trying to watch the same thing. :)

    I now officially love J-Unit. By the way, I’m sure she hears this all the time, but Katie looks a lot like Drew Barrymore, only cuter, and less annoying.

    Everything came through perfectly on my computer. I’ll definitely be tuning in tonight for ANTM. You guys are the best!

    Does it time out for anyone else when they try to play the video clip? I downloaded the newer version of Quicktime and it’s still not showing :-( I’m being deprived of J-unit. Someone help!!

    Hey guys,

    Sorry, but we forgot to hit “record” last night, so there is no saved copy on disk. We will be doing it again tonight, however, so please join in and I promise I will have the archive.

    Dena,

    Right now on the live page, you get a time out because there is nothing broadcasting. We should have it up again in a few hours, so check once again with your connection.

    Thanks for all the kind words everybody, I had a lot of fun and we hope to work out the kinks and have more more events. Right now we are keeping the current stream, but we may have lower bitrate streams for people with older computers eventually.

    Actually, we’ll be doing it for ANTM tonight. Not sure about the idol results show. We plan on being live for idol Tuesday and Wednesday next week though.

    Tonight is a reality lover’s nightmare “ season finale of TAR and ANTM and the Idol results show all on at the same time?! And now, J-Unit live on my computer screen as well?!

    It is a recipe for multiple TVgasms I tell ya!
