This week on Walking Dead we finally get a better glimpse into the happenings with Andrea and The Road Warrior.
Michonne is the name of our bad and beautiful road warrior. Don’t expect this bad bitch with a samurai sword to trust anyone at all. Also, don’t expect her to talk much. She does a lot of intense staring and heavy, distrustful breathing.
We start out with a helicopter crash full of unknown, but human, passengers. Andrea and Michonne hear the crash and check for any survivors. Before they can find everyone involved, several men armed with assault rifles commandeer the mess and shoot everyone who moves while our ladies hide behind some sparse bushes (yet go completely undetected). Poor Michonne has to sever her ties to and the heads of her trusty pack mules, who I believe must have been her brothers, because they are making a ruckus and will surely get them killed. This does her no good, because Merle comes up behind them and takes them at gunpoint.
Back at this strange little town full of normal-looking people and not a single walker, Andrea and Michonne are being cared for by people who refuse to tell them where they are or what they are doing there. Merle comes in with his new look – an homage to Ash of Evil Dead fame – and tells them to be grateful to him and his crew. Michonne gives Andrea the “what the fuck are you saying” death look every time Andrea shows appreciation to their new captors.
The head honcho of this strange place is named “The Governor”. He’s not really the governor, but he’s in charge and he’s surely evil. We are made to believe we should all trust these people with their awesome tea and scrambled eggs, but in reality they’ll just mow down anyone who’s not “with them”. More on that later.
The full recap will be up soon, so until then catch up with last week’s recap!
