This week on America's Most Smartest Model, A night out turns into a challenge, Aussie Rachael drinks too much, and Daniel drinks WAY too much and freaks the hell out in what has so far been the highlight of the show. Also, the "models" pose with animals, an alliance is formed, and Angela reminds us over and over again why we hate her.
The sun is rising on a new day at the "model" house. Angela interviews about what happened on the previous elimination, and if you don't know what happened, I'm not going to tell you. It's in the last recap. Why do you think I write these, anyway? For my own enjoyment? Yes. Yes I do.
Daniel walks into the living room area to find balloons and a very tasty-looking chocolate birthday cake. Jesse is sitting at home watching this episode, eating a giant bowl of Spaghetti-Os, and thinking, "Mmm . . . cake." Mandy Lynn, also watching this episode at home, sees the cake and flees in terror, hiding behind her couch until it's gone from sight. Everyone gathers around for the note, which Daniel reads aloud in his completely annoying excited voice. The note says they're being treated to a night out! Finally! We haven't had any drinking action since Starved-For-Attention Angela did a body shot off Blonde Rachel's "body." The "models" are excited. Like, waaayyy too excited, I have to say. It's pissing me off. Also, are Angela and Aussie Rachael the only girls left? I guess so. Daniel pointlessly interviews that today is his birthday. Andre interviews that today is Daniel's birthday. Today is Daniel's birthday. Okay, Episode, I get it.
Scrunchies all around!
Outside, a stretch Hummer is waiting. Way to go green, America's Most Smartest Model. At least the house is recycled from The Surreal Life and I Love New York 2. The "models" enter the Hummer, all dressed up for a night out, although the editing makes it appear that it's only minutes after they get the note, and it looks like it's 3:00pm outside. What clubs are open at 3pm in L.A.? Are they going to the airport bar? At the restaurant, they all toast to Daniel's birthday. Aussie Rachael gets light-headed after a glass of white wine. VJ tells her not to hurl on him. Or in your napkin, like Tiffany in Cycle 4 of America's Next Top Model. That was awesome.
Brett and Pickel are sitting next to each other, of course. Ten bucks says that they're holding hands under the table. Daniel wants everyone to get drunk because it's his birthday. I sure as hell want to get drunk right now. Aussie Rachael is kind of wasted. A skinny woman, who is actually prettier than both Aussie Rachael and Angela, I have to say, walks in and tells them there's a party upstairs. She then says the two most beautiful words in the English language: Open bar. They head upstairs.
Mary Alice interviews that this is actually a challenge. She's invited some industry people to test the "models" on their networking skills. You know, at this point I want to be really excited for some embarrassing drama, but if there's one thing I've learned from this show, it's not to expect too much. I was going to list all the industry spy people, but there's like eight of them and you haven't heard of any of them anyway. Trust me - I'm only thinking of you.
Andre stalks some girl who turns out to be Romanian, and they converse in either Russian or Romanian or Esperanto. Some of the industry guys come up to Andre and try to talk about modeling, but Andre thinks they're gay (hee) and wants no part of that, thank you very much! Misogynistic and homophobic - are there no limits to Andre's cuteness?
Here's to the aradikashun of fat gay people!
Daniel, Pickel, and Brett end up talking to Victoria Burrows, one of the spies. She's a casting director. Brett flirts with her a little bit. Is Pickel jealous? I like to think so. VJ interviews that he knows what's up. He sees a golden opportunity to chat the industry people up. He networks. Aussie Rachael interviews that she's kinda drunk at this point in the evening and totally not up to socializing. Angela interviews that when she's at clubs she gets hit on a lot. I'd totally hit on her. With a beer bottle. Over the head. Repeatedly. Humility is not in Angela's vocabulary. One of the industry spies comes up to her and asks her about agencies and makes her feel uncomfortable.

You didn't mention the super sexual way Daniel was stroking the neck of the ostrich! Not gonna lie, I was beyond uncomfortable during that scene. As much as Daniel irritated me, I would have preferred Angela to have gone home this week since I can't stand her.

First time I watched the show. Didn't like any of these self absorbed posers. Much enjoyed your recap.
BTW - You TVgasm authors deserve to be paid with more than reader comments and the slavish adoration of strangers.

I can't stand this show. It's filler until I Love New York2 and Salt & Pepa come on.
Btw, Robert Flutie looks like he could be Tony Parker's father...or be Tony Parker in 20 years. Be afraid, Eva Longoria. Be very afraid.
