So, quite obviously, I am very late on my recappage for the week, and it's quite a shame, because the latest installment of America's Next Top Model was one for the ages. This entire season has been great, but when you get not one, but two different cat fights, with two different participants in each one, you know that there is a lot of drama building in the house. And let's face it, any time you get that many girls living in one place, there is bound to be drama. Put a bunch of women in the same place, and they will start competing. Seriously, they can create a competition while standing in line for Starbucks. They can create rivalries ordering drinks at the bar. They will go to blows over a pair of shoes or a skimpy top. Personally, I can't get enough, and if you are getting all of this when there is an actual competition going on with actual consequences and a life-altering chance at success on the line, there really isn't anything better on television.
Of all of the things I thought would happen after Diane was let go last week, Nik breaking into tears was not one of them. Apparently, they were very close, and I guess we got a hint of it at the end of the last episode when the two of them were doing their exercises. Maybe the thought of somebody learning fitness from Diane sort of broke my train of thought, but I didn't know that Nik would be so affected. She said that she doesn't know if she'll be able to let anybody in and decides to be the quiet girl.
I was not torn up about Diane at all, and so when this part of the episode was dedicated almost exclusively to Lisa I had no complaints. So many people hate Lisa, and what better way to demonstrate her craziness than with a bubble bath montage? I once tried to throw a party with bubbles, but the party people delivered the wrong machine, and needless to say, I failed with my vision and was not able to put on a sudsy orgy for the masses. I guess all I really needed was Lisa. I had the bubbles, I had the alcohol, I just didn't have an alcoholic girl willing to frolic and take her top off, and really, that's what you need to get the critical mass for any sudsy orgy for the masses.
I can understand why these girls can't stand Lisa. She is continually passing out advice, even when it isn't wanted. And let's be honest, her advice doesn't always come across as the most constructive. Personally, I believe she has some good advice, but that delivery: it just makes for a huge problem. Still, I can't help but feel bad for Lisa because the other girls are just pouring it on. Yes, it would make it easier on her if she wasn't such a bitch, and yes it would be easier to defend her if she were meek and submissive. Also complicating this whole thing is that the person who has the biggest beef with Lisa is Coryn, who is the most popular girl in the house, but is also one of the most quiet.

I stopped liking Jayla after her scene in confessional (yes bunim murray- you have created our reality tv vocab). She is not the next version of our dear norelle. she is, like the trailer parks, EEEEVIIILLL.

VH1 aired that model show today that had Nicole and Kyle talking about the top 5 models. Honestly, I don't think they did a very good job, but whatever. And yeah, Jayla is being dumb all of a sudden, and all the girls hating Lisa makes me like her more and more!

I kinda felt bad for Lisa, she's more obnoxious than anything else. Now Jayla on the other hand, wtf??!!
I noticed as I was watching that they never showed Kim, during the filming, photoshoot, interview. Then when they showed the result - HORRIBLE! Were they hoping we wouldn't notice the less they showed it. That slouch most certainly does not leave me wanting more. Why is she still around?
Lisa is still my favourite, but I hope Nik can get back on track and go far.

Oh the irony, pointing out Jays pit stains during a deodorant photo shoot.
I did not expect Coryn to go much farther. But I also agree that Kim needs to go soon.
I really do like Nik and Nicole.
I guess Jay removing a flower from the corsage each week fell flat on its face. Even though he continues to wear that idiotic mess. He just needs to go away.

Goodness, after Jayla's little mean streak, I really don't like her. Love your comment about hypocritical Jayla is about the whole "high school" situation because it's true! I think she takes some pretty good pictures, but what a bitca! Geez.
As for Lisa: I love her pictures, but her personality is really falling flat.
I really like Nik. I hope she goes far.

Chris Spenser was the host of the very short lived VIBE late night show. It was a big embarrasing thing because the show was hyped like crazy and it got canceled like a month (if that) after it started. Yes, my knowledge of obscure and random TV knowledge is both disturbing and amazing.

I didn't get a chance to watch this episode but Jayla really did that? Wow.. how disappointing.
I liked her but stealing someone elses lines and then playing the victim when you get caught. Geeze.. that's just dirty.

Boo Hoo. I'm so sad to see Jay Davidson go. Oops sorry, I confuse Coryn for The Crying Game actor. All the same I hated to see Coryn leave because she was beautiful and I was in love with this girl. The ANTM panel missed another opportunity to have the two bitchyest (is that a word?) girls square off in the finals.
I wish her all the luck in her career.
Is This Coryn?: LensCrafters on Michigan Ave in the Chi have a large photo of a girl sporting glasses that looks like Coryn. Anyone know if she has been getting modeling contracts? This photo is why I was sure she was going to win ANTM. They didn't post the photo in their window until the show started. But I still think it's her.
PS. Nik should have thrown that beotch Jayla under the bus during the panel. Jayla would have gone home for sure. Scene stealing ho!

I loved this episode. Full of drama!
First of all, thank god they let the man go...
I did see Kyle and Nicole's work on Vh1 the other day, they were okay. THey weren't great but they weren't bad either.
Why didn't the girls think it was suspicious that Tyra just so happened to show up to talk to them about vices right after Lisa's drunken rampage? Was it just editing that it seemed like the morning after? Tyra must definitely watch what goes on in the house daily...everything seems like too much of a coincidence on this show!
and just like Nigel said...Lisa is goood! but i can't stand her!
I still like Jayla but I think Nik is prettier. Yes, I agree that Kim needs to go now. I just don't see the appeal!

Their secrets were mostly dumb. I eat ice cream in bed? So? I agree that Kim needs to go. And the Tyra "vices" talk was silly--if the show thinks there is a problem and a girl needs an intervention or professional help, don't send in Tyra. Her heart-to-hearts are always so cheesy.

Right now my fave to win has changed...I was pulling for Jayla but she came out as too much of a bee-zy for my tastes, and I am now pulling for Lisa (so what if it's only out of pity b/c all the other girls hate on her so much). Some out there might think that Kim needs to go home soon, but her secret alone should be enough to warrant her another week or two (the scenes from next week certainly have me interested in seeing more of her sexy-feminine side!).
I was glad to see "Ra" (I mean, Coryn) go home this week though, I always thought Nigel was right when he said she was cut out for a different type of modeling.

I'm still down with Jayla. She was my pick from the get-go and I stick to my guns. Plus, I didn't think her "stealing the line" was anything to get upset about anyway. The judges didn't even notice - it wasn't what they said, but how they said it.
But rest assured Jayla Haters, I've backed the runners up for season after season, so she'll never win.
And oh, Lisa sucks. She's an old boozy crow.

UGH, Jayla is such a bi-atch! I agree, stealing the line was really not that big of a deal and Nic should have been able to hold her shit better even when she's flustered. But the worst part was how Jayla just went off on Nic like that! I hope she feels like such a bitch when she watches this episode and sees how Nic is like, "Whatever, I'm not going to make a big deal out of it. Karma will get her." And then didn't even rat her out to the judges (not that she should have but you know some of the other girls would and have) when they specifically asked. And seriously, Jayla should know better than to listen to Lisa.

I like Jayla and I did like Coryn, even though she's a man. Lisa is a mess, but she's fun to watch. I love to watch a good drunk model.
I love the fake chats with Tyra. I'd love to sit down, like girlfriends, and chat about my personal flaws with her. I was surpised Tyra's mother didn't show up. I suspect the mother wants a talk show development deal from UPN.

she's a total psycho. Like, made me uncomfortable watching her in the confessional rant and rave, type psycho.
Didn't like her in the beginning, don't like her now. She's not pretty enough to be a model. And while I'm at it, neither is Lisa. I've changed my mind about Nicole though. She looked great in the last photo shoot, it's just when they let her dress herself and do her own makeup that she looks like she belongs behind the cash resgister at BIG LOTS or something.

The judges clearly did not give a shit that Jayla and Nik had the same secret. The fact that the girls got so bent out of shape about it just further proves that these are the dumbest girls ever.
I don't think there is one clear winner in the bunch, definitely no Naimas here. Lisa rocked this week, but she really will look way too haggard in a year to get any work.
