YAY MY CURSE IS FINALLY BROKEN!!!

In all of the seasons that I have watched this show (starting from Season 4) the one that I wanted to win always got robbed at the end: Kahlen, Nik and Joanie, to be specific. FINALLY, the person that I have been rooting for all season won! Maybe this is a sign that my Survivor curse will break too. Here's hoping!

This is my first season watching this show and only caught 3 that were taped on my DVR. Tyra is just strange. who is Ms. Jay? Is that a guy or gal? It was disappointing as we wanted (my daughter and I) to watch this together and its not family friendly at all with the nude shots. The bride runway was horrible. Those judges and Tyra are over the top weird! Those girls were not even pretty without makeup. No natural looks as far as I am concerned.

Thank you so much for that awkward hug photo...I needed a laugh and that was frigging hilarious!

Glad Caridee won, but almost more glad that Melrose lost.

I am SO over Ms. J...she needs to go. I'd rather see Janice back. It was fun watching her drug-induced rants.

I'm glad that Caridee won but she reminds me of cycle 1 winner Adrienne. I see reality TV in Caridee's future too. And as much as I liked her Cover Girl photo, I thought that there she looked older than Melrose did in her photo. Melrose is supposed to be a clothing designer --- maybe she can get on Project Runaway!

I thought they made the right choice. Let's face it, you can still teach Caridee to walk, but you can't make Melrose any younger (and she looks way older than 23 to me).

The runway show was bogus. Remember cycle 1 when they walked in a show at NY fashion week? An honest, actual, designer runway show? I guess real designers would never let Miss Jay walk, for which we would all be grateful.

Dani(elle) looked great. It sounds like her accent has faded. I guess she has been using the speech coach that the judges suggested last season.

I'm glad that Caridee won! I love her personality...and she's so real. I feel like Melrose did always have everything planned and she was too intense.

I think the main reason the judges picked Caridee over Melrose is the likeability factor. Especially with the commercials, the judges emphasized that Cover Girl models needed to come into people's homes and appear likeable and natural in the commercials. I'm sure Tyra and the judges were well aware of how Melrose's personality would appear to the tv audience: intense, diva-ish, overcocky, and dramatic. Her personality is just not as likeable as a fun-loving, relatable girl like Caridee. Because of Caridee's personality, more people are actually going to want to see more of her, while people would just love to see Melrose fail.

I'm so happy Caridee won. I WAS cheering on Melrose as well until she totally freaked out during the runway incident. When she started freaking out about Cari accidently ripping the hole in her dress... pffttt.. I was cheering for Caridee 100% after that.

As for the evaluation. Someone please just replace them all. I'm so sick of their BS. How they contradict things they've said before. How they say one thing.. but then say the total opposite to another girl.. just UGH.

Anywho... yay Caridee.. I just hope her modeling career goes better than the other winners.

My god did you have to show that self-absorbed witch Atoosa's picture?? I hate her so much its not even funny. The season was OK but they really needed a JADE!![a delusional, won't leave, super-annoying person]. I heard that in the next cycle the girls will "HAVE MORE CURVES" Should be interesting...

I was so mad about Caridee winning. The girl looks old, and cracked out. Her eyes bug the shit out of me. I can't stand looking at them, it's like a depressed, wet dog. Looking helplessly at you to let him in to your house from the freezing rain.
Sure Melrose bitches a lot, but you can't honestly say that Caridee doesn't bitch a lot too. And wtf is with this skin condition? I don't recall it ever being previously mentioned, and now all of the sudden she's nonstop whinning about it through the entire final episode, constantly feeling sorry for herself. It really ruined it for me.

The judges have been giving Melrose props the entire season for taking good pictures and she usually wins the competitions. And she did all of this, while Caridee and Eugena were bitching about how much they hate her and how much of a bitch she is just because she did better than them.

I thought it was an utter joke that Eugena even made it to the final three. I thought Amanda should've. Yeah, yeah, yeah, all that about an "akward body", at least she has a soul!!! For God's sake Eugena is dead inside, and the judges made it a point to point it out every week. Gah!

I will give credit where credit is due though, Caridee's ccovergirl photo was a TAD better than Melrose's. Not drastically better as the judges were making it out to be.
But that runway screamfest was absolutely rediculous on Caridee's part. She looked possesed. And somehow I don't believe that was the intention. Tyra WAS so right, you couldn't see the dress and she didn't look like a model. Nothing about her runway act was entertaining or attractive. It was annoying. Melrose pulled it off really well though, the damsel in destress type thing. Awsome. -clap clap-
But blaming Caridee for ripping the dress was a bit excessive.

But at the elimination you knew Melrose was gone and Caridee was going to win when the judges managed to show ALL of Melrose's "not so good" pictures, as Tyra would put it, and then flaunted the few really good pics Caridee had. If they had gone by the entire competition's line up of pictures Melrose would've made Caridee look like a joke. And Caridee's romance novel picture kinda blew. It was completely average. It wasn't nearly as good as Melrose's. It was just, blah. And the bull fighting pictures, Caridee looked like a drag queen. Although I will cut her a little slack since about half of the girl's ended up looking like men in that shoot.

Another thing I hated about this competition that it was so utterly predictable. Not to mention the judges became complete hypocrites. Past seasons they wanted the girl's to be more spontaneous and push themselves and now this season they're complaining because all the girl's do just that. SHAME ON THEM FOR WATCHING THE SHOW'S PREVIOUS SEASONS! SHAME!

And was it just me or did Danielle, oh wait "Dani", look completely stoned? I couldn't stop trying to guess. She looks so cute and bubbly in her commercials. Hopefully she wont go down the path Lindsey Lohan did. :( I miss old Lindsey.

Back to the point, this season sucked. And does anyone notice that every season the asian or latino girls are gone before everyone else?

Slam-dunk for Melrose? I never thought that this episode. Her Cover Girl photo was sub-par... it was uncomfortable, cold, and the worst of the three. Normally the finalists take their best photos at this stage, but this was one of Melrose's worst.

Though I also noticed the judges' contradictions in going over the portfolios, I definitely think CariDee's was stronger overall. CariDee is a natural and uses a variety of poses and expressions.

CariDee is the better model, Melrose is the better competitor. I'm glad to see the model win.

I am glad Caridee won.. I think even though she wasn't as professional as Melrose sometimes, I think she stayed true to herself and didn't just say and do what the judges wanted her to. I live in Fargo, Caridee's hometown, and everyone here is really excited for her!! Interesting that 2 North Dakota girls have won so far....Lots of cute girls up here on the prairie!! Fargo loves you Caridee!!

Do they normally have the loser complaining at the end? Melrose's little "but I worked so hard and I should have won" was HILARIOUS!!! Seriously... like you said, they don't give our 10th place ribbons, and the same goes with 2nd place.

I also disagree with you about how they were hypocritical at the end. FINALLY the judges said things that were said pre-judging. I Was so sick of hearing "Melrose did okay at the photo shoot but she messed such and such up." only to hear the judges moon over her and Twiggy beg to adopt her.

Caridee deserved it!

Caridee is the total package and I cheered for her all the way. The judges however were very contraditting throughout. They said that Caridee's photo was not good at all with the bull and in the finale they said it was the best shot! Plus the freezing cold water was ridiculous and would have loved to see Tyra do that one.

Caridee was the best pick, but her runway was not good at all. Tyra and Miss.J are weirdos, but they made the right choice. Caridee took great pictures and that seems to weight heavier than runway anyway.

I don't like Caridee at all. She coasted too much throughout the competition while you could see Melrose really put a lot of effort into everything she did, even if she was a bit of a perfectionist. Remember Caridee's Secret commercial? She was god-awful and wasn't trying at all, looked bored and conceited.

And I can't believe no one mentioned this... she pronounced fiesta "feesta" in her commercial?! Not even the judges pointed this out. Bleccch.

That was the sorriest excuse for a runway show I have ever seen. I thought it was supposed to be theatrical, but then it wasn't... oh I don't know. Melrose did tons better, is all I know.

And the judges pretty much rigged the portfolio overview, choosing all of Melrose's bad shots when she had many more good ones. You all may not like her, but I think Melrose was a much better model. Oh well, this show is full of crap anyway.

Honestly, even though the judges contradicted themselves, I was happy with their new reactions to the pictures. The Bull Shoot was the one shoot that made me mad because even though Caridee looked "pinup" I thought it fit with the makeup, wardrobe, and picture.

Chai, Caridee mentioned her Psoraisis at auditions and in the middle of the season. It was not the first time she mentioned it.

Anywho, Caridee didn't really deserve it, but I'm glad she won. Melrose reminded me a lot of a slightly toned down Atoosa.

You explained the difference between Melrose and CariDee perfectly. If this was some other kind of job, I would have hired Melrose over CariDee, no question. But for modeling, CariDee had the edge.

Eugena said fiesta as "feesta" as well. I don't remember them showing Melrose saying that line, but since both other girls said it the same way, I kind of thought they asked them to use that pronunciation just so it would rhyme better with "vista"

All in all, I would have been happy with either. Melrose didn't strike me as a complete bitch, just someone who was playing the competition the right way.

Melrose was good at the challenges and deserved to win many of them because of her confidence and high self esteem. However, she was mean and condescending to the other girls. She put down and talked bad about the girls al the time, especially the Indian girl. She was merciles to the poor girl. And then she turns around when the judges are around and acts like she's the nicest, most easy to work with model on the planet.
She forgot one thing - the judges also saw the footage and deciced that she would be hell to book with anyone. Her nice facade would fade fast and they'd have lots of complaints real soon. Plastic, plastic, plastic. Good riddance!

I mean seriously, were you working at the CG shoot and see all her pictures firsthand. If you actually have some inside info I'd love to hear it.

I didn't go to Cal, but I have friends in the area who grew up loving the Bears.

I have to agree with Antebellum (#17) on this one. The final panel was a joke. Melrose was given praise over and over this season, and yet, in the final panel, her photos were seen as weak; if they were going to judge the portfolios, why only choose a few photos? So they could justify crowning Caridee Top Model after Melrose totally kicked her ass on the runway.

I'm not saying I'm not happy with Caridee winning, but the judging seemed a little shady on this ep. Melrose deserved better than she got on this one.

I was definitely pulling for Caridee, but by the end of the finale, her skin condition had reached epic Sadie's-virginity-on-the-Bachelor overtalked status.

Melrose = ugly. I don't know how anyone can think that she could have won. Those bug eyes, permanently cocked brow, annoying mouth. I don't think so.

What's up with all the Eugenia hate? That girl is drop-dead gorgeous. Sure, she may be a dud personality wise but who cares about personality? She is like Noami Campbell times ten. Those lips, the body, the face. Fuggetabout it.

I'm happy with the Caridee win though. She is like a baby Rebecca Romain (sp?) Stamos. I totally don't blame her for the spastic final runway. They told her to freak out and did not give her much direction other than to scream and run around like a maniac. They need to be more realistic with the challenges from now on. Over the top = annoying.

If they had taken less of a profile pic for Melroses CG shot, it would've looked much better. Her profile is not her strength. And I don't believe for a minute that she's only 23. She looks closer to 27-28. Her only really great photo IMO was her romance novel shot. All in all, I think her problem is that she just tries to hard to stand out from the other contestants. Sometimes modeling is about being subtle, but there's none of that in Melrose. Caridee is a little more "moldable"- I agree her runway challenge was a stinkfest, but so what? That's something she'll gradually learn to do better with time and experience. Melrose was too set in her ways to adapt. Congrats, Caridee! Here's hoping you don't end up like that bipolar nutter Adrian Curry and have to go on Surreal Life #?

i was 100% on team caridee. although i do agree that her final runway was not good. does anyone else feel like there was not too much focus on runway until the bitter end? i feel like they usually have a lot more runway prior to the finale.
also- i can't remember what the rest of the line was in the commercial. but i feel like "feesta" was said because it rhymed with something else. of course, now that it's been a week since i heard it, i have no idea what it actually rhymed with.

I find it interesting that everyone keeps saying what a bitch Melrose was for "talking smack", if you will, on all the other girls when that's ALL Eugena and Caridee did the entire last leg. Everytime they had their own private moments infront of the screen all I ever heard from either of them was "We don't want Melrose in the top two", "We hate her", She thinks she so great just because she won." blah, blah, blah.

I think I heard Melrose say two bad things the whole episode. I don't remember precisely, but I have it on Tivo still... I feel like watching it now. :) But I certainly don't have to watch it again to know that there was a lot more bitching coming from Eugena and Caridee than Melrose.

I think Melrose was mean to Anchal because the judges thought Anchal was beautiful. The problem with Anchal was she lacked confidence and Melrose did Anchal down. Anchal was not mean to Melrose. I think Anchal should have stood up to Melrose.
