Host Mike Richards says it's time for the guys to take an overnight field trip. As the guys are leaving, one of the girls (I didn't catch who) says "now the producers can bring in the beautiful men." Unfortunately, Josh was still standing in the doorway when she said it. Jen tries to cover and says the beautiful men just left, but it's too little too late. Any hopes Josh had of ever truly being accepted by these women were just kicked in the 'nads. Welcome back to reality, Josh. Here's some ice for the 'nads.
Josh's throbbing 'nads aside, here's how this challenge works: Each guy gets $1500 to spend at Bed Bath and Beyond. "Your job is to pick out everything you need to stylishly decorate a bedroom," Host Mike Richards tells them. Tomorrow, the ladies will be judging the rooms, without knowing who did the decorating. The Geek with the most votes wins the challenge. Chris tells us he knows more about the mating habits of the beluga whale than he does interior decorating. And he knows nothing about the mating habits of the beluga whale. Although the fact that he knew there was even such a thing as a beluga whale should count for something, shouldn't it? That gives me an idea for a new Chris shirt: I put the sperm in sperm whale.
Upon entering the store, Chris gibberizes, "walking into Bed Bath & Beyond, it's a huge store. I mean, there's a lot of 'beyond' in there, if you know what I mean." Josh, of course, just knows that the challenge is going to end in disaster. And, as we all know, JUST KNOWING SOMETHING WILL END IN DISASTER IS A $23.50 INDUSTRY!

White Man Cam!
We get to spend the next few minutes watching the Geeks embarrassing themselves while shopping in Bed Bath & Beyond. As Chris says, "nothing's more heterosexual than a bunch of guys going to Bed Bath & Beyond to decorate a bedroom." To prove it, he saunters up to a set of Liz Clairborne sheets and asks "how you doing?" It might've been cute had he stopped there, but rubbing his nipples with a feather duster crossed the line.
Of course, not everyone is goofing off. Joe, Wes and Ankur actually did their homework and knew what they were looking for: candles, pillow shams and fabric. And just for Wes, a bottle of blood-colored paint. Tyson sums up the Geeks' point-of-view pretty well: "As far as getting girls back to my place and having them say, 'hey, you know how to decorate', I don't think I've gotten that far yet. It's hard enough for me to meet the girl at this point."
Back at the house, Cher spends the entire night studying for her computer challenge. "The other girls are threatened by me," she says, "and they see some competition." Not to mention her BARE ASS. Downstairs, the rest of the Beauties are having dinner. Someone mentions how quiet it is without the Geeks. Thais says she misses the little boogers. Of course, she's not talking about the other guys as much as Tyson's nasal output. Sarah says the guys "are all sweethearts, and just because they're geeky doesn't mean they can't be the best boyfriend to some girl out there." Just not to any of them.
Shopping done, it's time for the Geeks to start decorating their rooms. The producers set them up in a big warehouse and made seven three-walled rooms next to each other. It looks like an episode of OZ, without the bars. And the constant threat of ass-rape. We get lots of shots of the Geeks hitting their thumbs, breaking staple guns, getting stuck in duvet covers…typical Geek stuff. The best part is when SweatyJoe grabs one of the clean towels off his dresser to wipe off, then puts it back in the pile. Yeah, no one will notice that stain.

Wonderful recap, I love the RedRum reference, hilarious!
I loved Thais and Tyson, how sad that they're gone. Is being able to put a computer together seriously a geeky thing? I mean come on, you just have to match things up!

The host's eyes totally freak me out, as if he is always suprised about something. Prob. that he actually has employment.

Funny, funny recap! That picture of sweaty Joe is freaking nasty. *Oh and it was Tristin that said the line that beautiful men could be brought in while the Geeks are out.
I'm sad that Tyson is out, I didn't care much for his partner Thais. Tyson and his Rubik's cubes will be missed...

One more thing, that picture of the host IS very reminiscent of Clinton Kelly from What Not To Wear... The haircut... the blazer... the layers and the shirt. Wow. Damn, good call, copygodd!

I'd be surprised if Josh ever gets the balls to tell off Cher. And if he does, I'll be screaming at the top of my lungs and jumping up and down on MY bed.

As bad as the new host is, he is like a cool breeze on a hot day compared to Brian McFadden from last year.
I will miss Tyson and his cube!

I agree with scorpiella--at least this semi-lame-o host-type doesn't think he's famous or something.
Also, I used to like Tristin, but now I kind of feel like she and Chris deserve each other.
Dear Josh: Please tell Cher to stuff a sock in it already. I know this will result unpleasant personal consequences for you at first, but trust me--your fellow castmembers and the home viewing audience will be thankful. Sincerely, Dr. Grissom
(P.S. Please also remind her to wear underwear while rolling around in front of the camera. 'Cause she kinda freaks me out)

Last weeks recap, wasn't really a recap . This week you complain that you don't get that channel well. Should someone who actually has cable, or at least rabbit ears, who does not live on a mountaintop review the show from now on? Just a suggestion.

thanks for the comments, all. and yes, pamsey, it is woody allen. too bad the producers didn't cast a young korean girl, or the sparks would really be flying.
in my defense, usnrnpage, had the owners of adelphia (my cable company) been more concerned with updating their technology than with raping the company and using it as their personal piggybank, i might get a better WB signal.
but that would leave me with one less thing to bitch about. and really, where's the fun in that? ;-)

I was hoping you included a screen cap of Tyson and Thais hugging - total boob grab!
The factoid next to Tyson's name should have flashed up as "Tyson, 21: Has felt up one girl."

I realize at this late date responding on here will likely go unread - however, I feel compelled.
I only just now got to watch this ep (I work for a CPA firm and it's Busy Season - that's my only excuse). Copygodd - I love you recaps of this show and always read them. Keep up the good work.
As for that Nextel commercial - I can never watch it just once - I always end up rewinding it and watching it 2 or 3 times. I am starting to have a crush on the dark haired guy -the way he dances just ... I dunno -totally gets me purrin.
