First, to be a pedantic bitch, it's on Channel 4, not BBC4 - the former is a trashy, youth-oriented channel, the latter is an intellectual, nerdy old-person channel. They're at cultural opposite ends of the spectrum (retreats for cover).

Good old Nikki (the screaming BB UK housemate in the clip). We all love her. Her tantrums have involved the lack of bottled water in the house, other people's body odour and air conditioning. Put a pea under her mattress and she'd wake up covered in bruises. Although the other HMs hate her, she's survived the eviction vote 3 times already. I prefer the US rules, as our BB just becomes a popularity contest with 15 year old girls collectively deciding the winner based on who they fancy/feel sorry for. A nice chap with Tourettes Syndrome (whose swearing is outshadowed by all the non-Tourettes contestants) has been tipped to win this year, from the outset. There is no real competition, and anyone who appears remotely strategic is roundly hated and viewed as "fake" and "plastic" (the worst things you can be if you're British apparently). Oh, and 90% of our contestants get solidly booed by an insane pack of blood-thirsty proles upon leaving the house. "It's all pantomime" whispers the British Chenbot, Davina, into their ears. Except it isn't really. It's the Christians vs. lions for the 21st century.

Nikki is hilarious! I love that clip. But still, the greatest clip ever is when shes freaking out about the Air Con. Gold!

Ah, this brings back memories of BB S1 USA - when one of the various strange tasks assigned to the housemates was to make up lyrics to the BB theme music. I still have an MP3 of it somewhere.

Lubin (#2) - Thanks for the insider info regarding BB-UK. That Nikki is a piece of work! And I am intrigued by your respect for the US's rules, since there are some here who wish the public had the power to vote people off. Now I see how that could be detrimental.

Pretty funny BBUK. That's what Big Brother's role should be! I wish the US would bring back the distracting tasks like this one designed to make the HG a little crazier. How would "strategery" be affected if the HG weren't focused on it all the time?
