Previously on Big Brother, Jessie entered stage 2:
Bargaining.
After the nominations Sunday Jessie is still shocked, SHOCKED, that he was put on the block after he's been nothing nice to himself and has 17-inch arms. Jessie confides in his alliance, heretofore known as the "Tool Belt," which sadly only consists of Michelle, that he has an ingenious plan to get out of this. Jessie plans to win POV and then become HOH and retaliate. Then he'll become rich and buy Hooters and make Keesha a dishwasher, and then she'll never make fun of him again.
Man he's really gonna kick himself later when he realizes that there's a mirror right behind him that he failed to kiss.
Outside Jerry has donned his knee-length, horizontal striped onesie to enjoy some sun and have a little chat with Dan. Jerry also plans to soon win HOH so that he can get Memphis out of the house, who he considers to be the biggest threat in the house. Jerry says that Memphis, being a bar...mixologist, should be further along in his career by know and is a womanizer, which in my opinion doesn't make him a real threat in the house, but certainly does make him a poonhound. It's obvious Jerry just doesn't like the competition.
"You haven't lived until you'd seen Mamie Van Doren's ankles. Va Va Va Voom. 28 skadoo."
Jessie comes to the HOH room to plead his case to Keesha. When Keesha asks Jessie if he's hating her right now Jessie replies, "hey no hard feelings here. Rock hard abs, but not hard feelings." Jessie informs Keesha that it wasn't his decision to put up Steven for eviction since he has such a mad-on for Renny and wants her out of the house lest his Oedipal lust gets the best of him. Keesha is shocked to hear that it was Libra who convinced him to put up Steven instead of Renny, sacrificing one drag queen for another.
"I know this is soon, but I can't deny my feelings any longer. Keesha, I want to ask you: would you rub that baby oil on my delts?"
Downstairs, April and Libra realize that Jessie has disappeared and must be upstairs in the HOH room. Before their pyramid of lies come crashing down around them, they must race to the HOH room to run an interception. Unfortunately Keesha tells Jessie to send them away when they ring the bell, leaving Libra and April to pout on the couch. Jessie continues to share information about Keesha's dastardly coven making Keesha realize that Libra has been pulling the strings this entire time.
Libra: "OK, I'm thinking of a person"
April: "Barack Obama"
Libra: "Damn, you're good."
After Jessie leaves Libra and April race into the HOH room to comfort their sister because they say they heard "yelling," despite the fact that Jessie and Keesha stage whispered their entire chat. Keesha plays it cool and says that Jessie was nice but will be coming after Keesha if he stays in the house, a believable lie. Meanwhile Jessie rushes to Michelle and tells her that he successfully swayed Keesha into the Tool Belt and that Libra is gone as soon as they win POV. So that's the end of that.
IT'STIMETOPICKPLAYERSFORTHEVETOCOMPETITION!!
Jessie confides that due to his hulk-like strength, cat-like reflexes and high ick, I think he meant to say I.Q., that he doesn't feel threatened by anyone in this competition. After players are picked the competitors are Jessie, Angie, Keesha, Libra, Ollie and Memphis. This Veto competition is unlike any other I have seen as it's not about strength, endurance, speed, or intelligence, but the ability to count. Each player has to dress in a green leotard with a foam rubber daisy around their head, or what Jessie calls club gear, and lay in an oversized flowerpot with water dripping on their forehead. The goal is to stay in for exactly one hour and the player who opts out closest to one hour, without going over, is the winner. Hopefully Dubya isn't watching this since he'd probably take the idea to Darth Cheney to use in Guantanamo.
The bottle said it will make you fresh as a daisy, but this is ridiculous.

Am I the only one who noticed that as soon as they threw the worms onto Libra she tried to form an alliance with them? I probably am because I think I'm the only one who noticed that Michelle looks EXACTLY like Jessie in drag.
As for Jerry, I really wanted to like him but he's such a tool. Somewhere in a cave in Afghanistan theres a rebel pasting clips of Jerry together to make an al qaeda recruiting video.

Jessie is such a tool. He's Such an Idoit!...I'd still hit it though!

Jerry could probably go far in the game if he'd lay off the stupid, judgemental comments. Who cares if Memphis is a poonhound, slings beer, and rocks a douchy fauxhawk? You're not down at the VFW watching Fox News with your old 'Nam buddies so lay low, you crusty old shit.
The look on Keesha's face when crazy Jessie was accosting her in the HOH room let you know that if she wasn't in a house with 10 other people and 100 cameras, she would have maced his ass. Guile and charm are apparently not ingredients in his protein shakes.
I was a big fan of Angie's when I first saw her, but the more I watch all I can notice is her gigantic jaw. I realize I'm the only guy on here looking at the women, so this is mainly an observation to myself.

There were just too many funny things in this recap to name them all. But am I the only one who likes Jessie? I hope he survives this week, just so the comedy can continue. I like Angie, she's just not as interesting.
Those flower costumes were a riot. LOL, Big Brother!

dear god no! please let jessie get voted out tomorrow! he's a douche...and a half.
5 of 40 | Posted by efk2020 | Posted on July 30, 2008 9:40 AM
No Sanchez, you're not alone...it's just that there's not a lot to look at. I can't get past Angie's lack of an upper lip, although the body's nice enough.
I think Keesha is gorgeous, despite the overdone makeup and the stupid name and what I presume to be fake tits. I'm really wishing she'd smarten up. But I don't think it's going to happen.
April...ick. Just washed up. And her counterpart Libra (April almost spelled backward?)
Libra...left her 5-month-old kids behind...there's no excuse for that, barring a prison sentence. She deserves to be shot.
6 of 40 | Posted by itchy | Posted on July 30, 2008 9:43 AM
Lickitysplit, I agree Jessie should stay, I don't really like Jessie, but at least he's entertaining, I can laugh at him. Angie hasn't really done or said anything up until this point and she's kind of dull, so I don't actually mind her leaving.
I get everybody except Angie, she's the only one I don't really get and from what I'm hearing she desn't want to be there anyway so.
7 of 40 | Posted by bigjr6633 | Posted on July 30, 2008 10:47 AM
"Will Libra be outed to her coven as a tow-face liar?"
When has she ever been that? Why dont you talk about Angie and all the sh*t she talks about Libra.
"Libra...left her 5-month-old kids behind...there's no excuse for that, barring a prison sentence. She deserves to be shot."
She is married and has a supporting family, so why do you feel its up to you to judge her. If she wins the money could be use for college funds and such. And how much do you remember at 5 months. I surely dont remember sh*t.
8 of 40 | Posted by asmaj | Posted on July 30, 2008 11:38 AM
Also Angie is boring, she acts like she doesnt want to be there and I am wondering why she ever signed up for the show. All she does on the live feed is talk to the "womanizing" Memphis. Angie = ratings disaster.
Why did Memphis get so mad? He is the person who said in his pre BB interview that he "get women to do everything for him."
9 of 40 | Posted by asmaj | Posted on July 30, 2008 11:41 AM
I'm going to agree with asmaj. Libra isn't a liar...she's just a sh*t starter and she's so far in that she can't get herself out unless she just shuts up!
10 of 40 | Posted by sowhat1234 | Posted on July 30, 2008 12:40 PM
I like Angie. I think she is really attractive. Nice body and she seems like fun(at least of the feeds).
Keesha seems like she can't think for herself. Granted Jessie made soime good points but if he would talk to her and not attack her she might listen!
I still don't understand why the Memphis/Angie/Jessie alliance didn't just throw the comp to Jessie. Once Keesha went off 10 minutes later Memphis should have left.
THen Libra/Ollie would have went off after and Angie would have gone off etc etc till Jessie is the last one. That comp shouldn't have lasted the full 60 minutes if they were thinking
11 of 40 | Posted by happyh0ur | Posted on July 30, 2008 12:51 PM
I like Keesha but it's clear she's doomed. If Jessie stays he'll go after her in a heartbeat.
As far as judging Libra or anyone else on this show, knowing you're going to be recorded 24 hours a day for America, she had to expect people would comment on her family life. After all, we comment on everyone else's.
If Libra cared (about what people think, much less her babies) she wouldn't have gone on the show.

asmaj:
Leaving five month old children for three months means that when you get back, they will not remember you. That is a traumatic experience, the same as if they were kidnapped (although, they will still have their dad around, I guess).
You may not remember your early years, but they have shaped you. It is pretty despicable what Libra has done for money. I am saying all of this as a mother of a one year old, so I know I'm biased, but still!!
13 of 40 | Posted by loiseau_chante | Posted on July 30, 2008 1:14 PM
in case you wondered the banner said:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY (NAME UNCLEAR) WE (HEART SYMBOL) YOU.
It looked like simlish to the houseguests because it was backwards to their view.
14 of 40 | Posted by nestofvipers | Posted on July 30, 2008 1:27 PM
Asmaj, you clearly have no children, and know nothing about children, especially infants.
Greed just isn't a good excuse, doesn't matter how much your family supports you.
She's an annoying character anyway, hate that catty, cliquish type.
Hmm...so maybe her kids are better off that she's gone?

OMG, where did that Jessie photo come from? That burned my eyes.
16 of 40 | Posted by nerrawllehctim | Posted on July 30, 2008 1:42 PM
I just had to laugh when Jessie used the prison analogy to his being on the block. What was it he said...something about being unfairly accused blah, blah, blah. I too have love/hate feelings for Jessie. He has said or done something in each episode that made me chuckle. He's the screwdriver of the Toolbelt.
17 of 40 | Posted by trink621 | Posted on July 30, 2008 2:08 PM
youre not the only one that likes jesse, lickitysplit! yeah he can be a douche, but what 22 year old frat guy isnt? but does anyone else think he is gay? according to dlisted he is. apparently one of his friends said this:
"He isn't ready for his parents, or the public, to know that he is gay. Jessie isn't actually open with his sexuality, but he doesn't hide it too well either. We just don't talk about it."
18 of 40 | Posted by preppyboy | Posted on July 30, 2008 2:13 PM
I, too, have a love/hate relationship with Jessie...but I'd still hit it...maybe I've been living in Alaska too long...
I seriously busted out laughing with the caption for Jerry: but ya are! Leave it to a 'mo to bust out the Bette Davis lines...I couldn't have done it any better myself

Here is her husband speaking on the topic of the kids.
[remove the 3 "?"]
http?://www.real?itybbq.com/2008/07/13/libra-bb10-m?yspace-her-hubby-speaks-out/
I think what bothers me if that if there was a new father of twins in the house, there wouldn't be all this hullabaloo. There might have been a little bit of grumbling but most people accept that fathers might need to be away from the family to try and earn more money for their keeping. But if a woman does it, it's "what kind of mother is she?" It's a terrible double standard that I am not in favor of.
It's seems to me that Libra and Scott (her husband) have the maturity to decide what is best for their family and I'm happy to see them take the nontraditional route.
20 of 40 | Posted by asmaj | Posted on July 30, 2008 2:43 PM
"Asmaj, you clearly have no children, and know nothing about children, especially infants."
And it seems you are an overprotective parent that believes you need to be with you kids all the time. Being away for that short of a period doesn't mean her kids will be disconnected from her when she comes home and have psychological problems in the future.
"Greed just isn't a good excuse, doesn't matter how much your family supports you."
Greed or financial security for the kids education?
21 of 40 | Posted by asmaj | Posted on July 30, 2008 2:50 PM
Okay, I got it, you work for Libra and her family. Fair enough.
We're not talking about double-standards, but an infant's psychological and emotional development. Has nothing to do with being overprotective. It has to do with being a responsible parent. You do not leave your infant unless you absolutely have no choice. Period. Nothing is worth the risk.
And hey, we're not in the 1950s here--this goes for the father as well.
And jeez, can't you think of a better way to get financial security than to famewhore yourself out to a reality television show? Sorry, this is pure greed. If she really wanted to do better for her kids, she'd make sure her education is up to scratch, and she'd get a good job. The husband too. Although obviously he's as much of a famewhore as she is.
That does it-- I officially despise Libra more than I loathe Jessie. Didn't think it was possible, but thanks to you assmaj, it now is.
Keep going!

It's so fun to be watching a show that's got everyone a buzz in here . . . enjoying the debates and the Jessie hate. He is one of those tools that will at least give us something to hate, but I'll be glad when he goes . . . hope he reads these and I hope they prove him a fool before the end. I shutter to think he's a mo like me, I do think he's probably less than 18 inches in other parts of his anatomy, was it on the show where Michelle said, "Don't cover yourself up, jessie" And for me, his butt looks flat and narrow like his head, me no likey!
And tho I'm a mo, I can appreciate that Keesha has some beautiful eyes, easier to appreciate when they are wide with fear (good call on the mace-dirty) Angie's a beaut too, but dull . . . wont be missed, and what is her issue with Libra, have there been screaming matches we've missed . . .
Libra doesn't bug me, but I hope it's not true that her kids wont recognize her after 3 months . . . that would be sad for her . . . she's actually copped to all her scheming so she's not a liar either . . .
I did like that Jerry didn't flinch while Memphis got all postal--can no one keep a secret tho--did Dan tell him about the comment, who gives a sh*t what Jerry thinks anyway, he's not exactly the hippest . . .
Thanks for all the joy, Fozzie, and should I be surprised there's dlisted fans here!!! ; ) Love me some MK!

I am really not trying to debate this situation. I just find it despicable when people they can judge the parenting style of others. Unless the parent is abusing the child then no comment is needed. You raise your kid how you want to, and they will raise their kid how they want to. And I dont think everyone who goes on a reality show is a "famewhore." Also how is the husband responding to the criticism making him a famewhore? Anyways, I am not working for the family as you somehow seem to think. I am just a fan writing about my observations.
24 of 40 | Posted by User Name | Posted on July 30, 2008 4:47 PM
Well, yes, you are trying to debate this situation. Not doing a great job of it, but still.
Anyway, you can't change my mind. The woman dumped her babies to be on a reality tv show.
Meanwhile...as for the banner thing, I thought the four of them agreed to make up the story about what the banner said (since they couldn't read it either). Which almost smacked of (gasp) actual game play.
25 of 40 | Posted by itchy | Posted on July 30, 2008 5:13 PM
Keesha is smokin', that's for damn sure. Maybe she just looks hotter when you line her up with April (see below), Renny (once blew Ben Franklin at Mardi Gras), and Michelle (possibly largest penis in the house), but I'd definitely be starting a little showmance with my little hot wing server. As soon as I could break her free from crazy ass, sexually ambiguous Jessie, that is.
And the only way April is 30 is if that's in dog years. I swear she ages 10 years every episode.
26 of 40 | Posted by Dirty Sanchez | Posted on July 30, 2008 6:19 PM
I'm also a Jessie hater but I'm still rooting for him to stay. Angie going would not really be a loss. Jessie makes for great recap material though.
Memphis is stupid. Why did he get all riled up about Jerry calling him a womanizer? Is that so offensive? He also said in the intro that women have bought him cars and jewelery, yet he insisted that he needed the car in the first challenge. He's a tool.
I can't wait for Libra to go so Keesha will be free of her stupid promise to her. Then she can align with Dan and Renny and be in the weirdest yet most awesome alliance ever!
27 of 40 | Posted by BRaps | Posted on July 30, 2008 6:25 PM
Two things I wanted to add about asmaj's comments:
It sounds nice when you read what the dad has to say and all, but #1: No matter what anyone tells you, mothers and fathers actually have different roles in a child's upbringing, especially when we are talking about infants.
#2: It would be just as horrible for me if a father of five month old twins left for three months.
It IS true that five month olds and eight month olds are incredibly different. They will have no memory of Libra when she gets back, except possibly a vague recognition from seeing pictures of her. She won't be their mother to them.
People think she's DESPICABLE because she's put a price on her children not remembering her. $500,000. To a mother who's normal, there is no price worth that.
28 of 40 | Posted by loiseau_chante | Posted on July 31, 2008 11:24 AM
"I just find it despicable when people they can judge the parenting style of others. Unless the parent is abusing the child then no comment is needed."
What Libra has done, considering the age of her children, is pretty much abandonment. Abandonment doesn't really qualify as a parenting "style." What she has done can be every bit as damaging to those children and physical or verbal abuse. At the age of her children, most psychiatrists recommend that the children should not go more than 24 to 48 hours without having some form of contact with both parents. Libra chose to leave them for ninety times that period. If you can't judge her for that, then I seriously question your standards for judging other people.
29 of 40 | Posted by Alafoss | Posted on July 31, 2008 12:17 PM
I guess we agree to disagree.
Last statement. How is it abandonment if they kids are left with their dad and grandparents? I disagree that her kids will forget her in 3 months. She had 4 months already of bonding time, which I doubt will be forgotten. I have a 14 months niece that I didnt get to see for 4 months because of grad school and when I came home she remembered me. No crying, arms outs....so I think you guys are blowing the situation out of proportion.
Now I understand why I dont watch Wife Swap and Trading Spouses. I dont like to judge peoples parenting skills when they grew up in a different environment than I.
30 of 40 | Posted by asmaj | Posted on July 31, 2008 1:26 PM
Sorry missed this.
"To a mother who's normal, there is no price worth that."
As least she is not having sex on multiple occasions like other house guests in the house.
31 of 40 | Posted by as | Posted on July 31, 2008 1:30 PM
Um, Libra had sex at least twice. So technically that is 'multiple.'
I'm not sure how you can compare a woman who abandoned her three children (the older one is still a baby too, in fact, probably needs her as much as the little ones) with a couple of single, consenting adults having sex. Even if it is icky.
Assmaj, in a few years, when you've had kids of your own, you'll understand why you're wrong, and you'll slap yourself in the forehead over the silly things you're saying now.
Presumably your niece had HER PARENTS to look after her while you were gone.
Jeez. Grad school? Really? Hard to believe.
I agree that I don't want Jessie to leave, he's just the ultimate freak on a great freakshow.
Sure is long now that they moved the show to Thursday....
32 of 40 | Posted by itchy | Posted on July 31, 2008 2:08 PM
'Um, Libra had sex at least twice. So technically that is 'multiple.' "
I wasnt talking about Libra having sex in the privacy of her house. I was talking about April and Ollie having sex all over the big brother house without really caring that someone was in the room with them.
33 of 40 | Posted by asmaj | Posted on July 31, 2008 3:12 PM
I thought the people who don't make it to the jury house get to go back to their regular lives? If Libra was to get voted out before then, she would not have "abandoned" her children for three months. Would you all still be so upset if she had been the first to go? I really don't think anyone has the right to judge her. Judging people is wrong, plain and simple. And besides, can you honestly and truly say that it would have been easy for you to turn the offer down to be on Big Brother? I highly doubt it...
34 of 40 | Posted by JustJesse | Posted on August 1, 2008 12:47 AM
Asmaj:
Two wrongs don't make a right. Or something like that...
Other people having sex has nothing to do with Libra leaving her young children.
Basically, I feel that you are refusing to take what we say into consideration and perhaps research the many, many scientific journals and parenting guides that prove us right. That is unfortunate for you.
35 of 40 | Posted by loiseau_chante | Posted on August 1, 2008 4:10 AM
Just Jesse:
The facts are that Libra is obviously hoping to make it to the end of the game, so even if she were voted out the first week and allowed to go back home to her kids, those were not her original intentions. She wants to be gone for three months. Her decision would still make me upset.
I know people are throwing around the word "judgment" a lot, but seriously, you all judge people too. For probably a lot less harmful things than this Libra situation, so I just think it's comical that you're all of a sudden so righteous. I mean, what's the fun of tvgasm if not to judge people ;)
You would judge an abusive mom wouldn't you? Well, that is what I believe Libra to be.
36 of 40 | Posted by loiseau_chante | Posted on August 1, 2008 4:13 AM
Wait a minute, waaaait just a damn minute here! Did someone toss out the accusation that the people writing things on TVgasm-dot-com might just be judgmental in some form or another? Either recappers or commenters? Heavens! *clutches pearls*
I'm sorry, but being judgmental is kind of the whole point of this site, ain't it? These people sign on for this when they agree to be on a real-ality show, it's exactly what they are seeking, for someone to agree to be filmed 24 hours a day (and divulge all kinds of information about their personal life) and then complain about how they are portrayed is ludicrous and disingenuous at best.
Besides, being judgmental is still better than just plain mental.
love, J-Mo :)

loiseau_chante,
Funny that you point out Libra is "obviously hoping to make it to the end of the game". Well, no duh! They all are!
By the way, if you can have your opinion on the situation, why can't I? Don't jump down my throat please.
39 of 40 | Posted by JustJesse | Posted on August 2, 2008 12:34 AM
You can have your opinion. I was more responding in general after the first paragraph because lots of people have been saying Libra can do whatever the f*** she wants with her kids and I can't/shouldn't judge her, and I was starting to get pissed off. It happens.
