Recap: Big Brother: This Just In: God Takes Break From Tending To Crisis In Sudan In Order To Fix Power of Veto Competition!

BB87047.jpg
Roughly translated, this tattoo reads "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

After the nominations are announced, Jen sneaks off to the bathroom and quietly sobs. Look, people who hate Jen, she has emotions and is human! It's like she's trying to keep her emotions in check instead of spreading them all over the house like a crazy person. What a bitch she is!

Dustin takes Kail up to the HoH and smugs at her about how she's a pawn and that Zach is actually his target this week. You guys, I'm starting to dislike him. After he finishes telling Kail that he's not letting her go home, he tells her that it's okay to cry in front of him, but it comes out like, "I now permit you to sob and kneel before me in gratitude. Prostrate yourself! PROSTRATE!" It's really gross. I don't like him in power at all.

Downstairs, Jen composes herself and goes to fix her makeup after finishing her brief crying jag. While she fixes her makeup, Nick goes over to check and make sure that she's okay.

BB87042.jpg
Jen, I have been sent as an emissary to tell you that the Bloods will protect you as much as we can. This is because Dustin is a Crip.

You will notice that she's not wandering around the house wailing and asking other people to come to her defense, AMBER. Kail comes in too, and Jen allows for a brief pity party amongst her friends. When Amber wanders in, Kail takes it down to a whisper and Jen keeps her normal volume, telling Kail and Nick that she's not crying because she thinks she might go home, she's crying because she's sick of being the scapegoat, which is what Dick has basically turned her into. I think if any of us went for a month being constantly harassed by somebody with whom we are forced to coexist, there might be a small hint of crying breaking out at some point. What I'm trying to say is, Jen was very subtly feeling sorry for herself (which we all do), which is (one) completely understandable, given her situation, (two) completely different from what Amber, Dick, and Daniele have all done since entering the house, and,(three, and this is not a coincidence) a very grown-up way for Jen to deal with things.

BB87044.jpg
I don't know, I think Amber's crying is an elaborate ruse to disguise the fact that she's in the Cobra Kai.

So Amber goes into the small bedroom where Dustin is folding his clothes, tells him what a drama queen Jen is for crying, and (GET THIS) also says that Jen is just trying to get attention from everyone else, and crying is how she has chosen to do it. And no, I did not make that up. I don't think I need to point out why Amber is a big fucking hypocrite here, do I? Oh, and then she calls Jen a whore.

You guys? I only have one question for you, and then we're going to move on. Let's say Amber is part of the cast of Big Brother 6. What side of the alliance line do you think she'd be on?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Dustin brings the veto bag out to choose players for the veto competition. Dustin picks Daniele, Kail picks Jessica, and Jen picks Jameka. Jameka tells us that Jen picking her ball out of the pile was God's way of telling Jameka that she needed to win the veto for Jen. Man, Amber is going to be so pissed when she finds out that God likes Jen better. Everyone knows that God hates whores. How can God love everyone, I tell you? HOW?

Hilarious church organ music plays as Kail and Jameka get their God on in the bathroom's big chair. Y'all know that I have all my religious epiphanies in the bathroom too, so props to Jesus for putting them in there and giving me a parallel from which to create this sentence.

Jen comes in, and I believe she's putting peroxide on her teeth to keep them white, and Jameka pulls Jen away to tell her that God wants Jameka to win the veto and take Jen off, so that's what she's going to do. Jen is like, "Um, okay, nutjob?" and goes back to what she was doing.

Schoon....Jen lost at beer pong with Eric and had to wear the 'tard the rest of the evening. It was God's will. Amen brotha!

Corri2 [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Schoonie, I haven't read this recap yet but finding it posted first thing in the morning makes me love you more than I already did. Thanks!

RachWho? [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I tried to vote for "Sweet Chicken" as Eric's catch phrase but as I tried heartily to click on the button, God willed me to "I'd Do That For a Dollar!" instead. It is already determined that this phrase will take over, and I am giving in now. I have started using it in every day life, and I suggest you do as well...it will make baby Jesus stop crying.

Hilarious recap, Schoonie. Have fun at Lollapalooza!

biancaneve [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Funny, funny recap. I keep waiting for these people to start playing the game, but it seems most of them just want to sit around and complain and criticize the few people like Jen and Kail who are trying to play. So tired of Amber crying, Dick being a butthead, Dustin being self-righteous. Let's target Amber for eviction next week.

Sowhat1234 [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Deleted because that's probably going to be shown on Thursday and people won't want it ruined. As a reminder, talk about the live feeds in the forums, not in the comments section. Thanks!

"My last request: Please bury me with my collar popped! I don't want to be remembered as a non-tool."

Wonderful.

"God is Gansta"

Sweet Jesus! How could you mention that? I back-skipped my DVR more times than I did for Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" just to make sure I heard what I thought I had heard.

lickitysplit [TypeKey Profile Page]:

What a great recap! God bequeathing his plan onto Boogie was the best!

I hate Evil Dick. Hate hate hate. He walked away from Jameka when he thought she was stupid, but if that was Jen, he would have called her a slut and killed her puppy. I hope that his atheist comments finally turns America away from wanting Jen out to wanting Dick out.

Best episode of the season, despite Amber being the biggest hypocrite ever!

dacoyle [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Lickitysplit, Dick's atheist comments make him my favorite now. It's Jameka I no longer like.

God doesn't watch CBS anyway. He watches Fox.

Paulie [eatl/ga] [TypeKey Profile Page]:

arrgh! Let's try this again. I wish I could have edited my last botched comment.

"God is Gansta"

Sweet Jesus! How could you not mention that? I back-skipped my DVR more times than I did for Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" just to make sure I heard what I thought I had heard.

anw821 [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Great recap!

Glad to see you take Amber to task for being a complete hypocrite. Amber is a freaking train wreck and needs to be on medication.

I guess God told Jameka to get that tat on her arm as well. I'm sure it had nothing to do with peer pressure, or coveting what other people have. In fact, I'm sure God helped her pick out the design. "God is so gangsta". Did I hear that right? Is that in the bible? Maybe that's who's telling Nick to wear his ca ca colors, colors.

Sorry, but I've lost any respect that I may have had for Jameka. Besides the religious underpinnings she attempts to sneak into every conversation, she went off about Zack and how they should get rid of him because "he's a nothing, a nobody". Sorry girlfriend, but those are all arguments for keeping him around.

ED needs to stay out of Jen's grill. Jen didn't throw the veto comp, she made a feeble guess to try and win it. She doesn't take any pressure off herself by letting Jameka win it. If you're on the block and you win POV, you take yourself off the block, except if you're Marcellus. Jen wouldn't be under any pressure to take herself off the block. THAT'S WHAT YOU DO! THAT'S HOW YOU PLAY THE GAME! And other then maybe Jameka, ED was the only one that was thinking Jen tanked the POV comp. Dude needs to get the facts straight before he spouts off. Jen is not playing stupid, she is stupid, but she's still one of the more likable people in the house.

I think Dustin showed what he's all about. BYE, greedy bitch!

Although her voice is like nails on a chalkboard, I'm starting to like Jessica more each week. Her comment about keeping Dani’s personal s..t out of the equation is probably the most intelligent comment anyone’s made in the house to this point.

Foxbase Alpha [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I'd pay Eric a dollar to rip out Amber's stupid tear ducts.

d-fly [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Best title for a recap ever!

Why are so many people convinced God has nothing better to do than manipulate reality TV shows?

And why doesn't someone put ED in his place when he tries to taunt them by talking about what a shitty father he is? Of course he seems like one of those people that can "dish it but not take it" but it would be awesome to see it happen. Maybe that should be Amercia's next challenge for Eric- ask Dick why he would "die for his daughter" but not put in the time to actually raise her??!!

I wish Amber would go home, I am tired of her wet, red eyes and her downturned mouth. Go choke yourself with your necklace crybaby.

lexxi1129 [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Whatev. Jameka is the strongest and the most respected in the house right now. Has ED gone off on her like he does everybody else? RESPECT, people - recognize. She took Jen off thinking that Dustin would put up Zach & that didn't happen, ALL THE WHILE keeping her word. Just wait until she's HOH - she'll get the job done.

BTW, great recap Schoon!

TinkerbellAPixie [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I feel a little isolated realizing I am the only one on here who can not stand Jen. I think she is a vain, arrogant, bitchy, idiot and I love that Dick is there to make her life hell.

Dick may be extremely obnoxious and trust me I hate watching him cough up chunks of lung onto the yard, but he is making the show interesting, not Jen. If there were no Dick to antagonize Jen - ya'll would be hopping off the Jen Bandwagon.

cajah [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I was rooting for Dustin to take every prize he could during the POV challenge. That's not greedy, that's smart. He's still going to get one of the four people he wanted out, no matter who won it. Did no one remember Chill Town last season grabbing every prize they could and they still won?

sparky [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I keep trying to forget not just the people of Chill Town but the name as well.

I too keep wondering why no one in the house will call Dick on the crap he's spouting. I also would like to see a split screen with Dick's mother watching that episode. Also, did I miss the part where anyone mentioned Daniele's mother? Do we know anything about her?

I am also creeped out by all the god talk in the house, but Dick isn't exactly Voltaire. I'm tempted to convert to some religion just so I can pray to get this man off my screen.

The only entertaining thing about having Dick stay would be to watch someone smack him down.

cajah [TypeKey Profile Page]:

No one's challenging Dick because of what happened to Kail. She tried & he steamrolled right over her.

He keeps thing interesting because he's up front. He's a jerk, but at least he's an honest one. Go Dick!

slutty_whore [TypeKey Profile Page]:

CAJAH... It's only smart if the people you're aligned with are aware of your intentions (re: Jameka letting LNC know that she was going to take Jen off the block). While they may not have liked Jameka's decision, they accepted it. Dustin knew he was in the driver's seat of that competition and could have taken the focus of the noms off of Jameka's religiosity, and focused it on getting rid of Kail or Jen.

Now, Dustin looks bad in the eyes of his HGs and has lied to Kail about putting up Zach, lied to Jen about feeling targeted by Zach (if you're targeted, doesn't it make sense to nominate them?), and showed his true colors regarding his alliance. If he nominated two people and wanted Kail or Jen to go home, basically, WTF?

cajah [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Remember Dustin wanted Jen, Kail, Zach or Nick to go. He's accomplishing his goal, if not diplomatically with the LNC.

carol [TypeKey Profile Page]:

If Dustin did not buy the two different things during the POVcomp, he would have won the POV. Then, he would have had to use it and still would have pissed people off. You know Dick is just pissed because he was not in the POVcomp and could not have bought the $$.

I am the only one that is getting very very tired of all of the God talk this season?? Also, why is Twizzle Stick upset about Nick being nominated when she wanted him to go a couple of weeks ago..oh wait I guess they were making out last week.

mikey [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Re: #21 (Carol): "Tired of all the God talk this season"? Try every season. I seem to remember Alison and some others reading a bible to try to justify actions (or persecute others) back in season 4. In season 5, it was Adria/Natalie as the holy rollers (remember, it was God who told her to nominate the gay man and the black man the same week). In season 6, the Nerd Herd had little prayer sessions in the HOH. What I'd like to know is -- why is a bible the ONE book that's allowed in the house? No other reading materials are permitted. Why this ONE exception? Shouldn't being deprived of the bible perhaps make one's faith stronger?

Also: What is up with people thinking the HOH's nominations are sacrosanct? Every year, people do the "Oh, I can't change the nomination out of respect for the HOH". Or, in this week's case, people are *shocked* when Dustin doesn't do his damnedest to keep his nominations as-is. If the initial nominations are all-or-nothing and so deserving of being afforded complete deference, then the HOH who made them probably wasn't being flexible enough in what is a strategic game that requires alternate plans.

DP Hooker [TypeKey Profile Page]:

TinkerBellaPixie, i am with you re: Jen. I also laugh out loud at Dick's harassment of her. I would not want to live under the same roof as him, but he makes me laugh. Jen is stupid and vapid.

Gruffydd [TypeKey Profile Page]:

According to CBS website the most popular Houseguests are:
Dick 22.9%
Jen 21.3%
Nick 9.7%
Daniele 9.5%
Jessica 6.4%
Dustin 6%
Jameka 5.4%
Amber 1.1
and all the rest under 1%

Shollia [TypeKey Profile Page]:

UGH these people are so freaking annoying!!!
I think Jessica is the only non-annoying, god talking one in the house.
Eric is ok sometimes but he gets way too talkative/hyper.

As for Amber.... I really hope Eric wins HoH next week... even though I know people will tell him to put up Kail, Zach, Nick, Jen.... I'll be voting my ass off for him to put up Dick and Amber...

Dick WAS ok for a while, but his constant hate on Jen and actions he takes against her and anyone else he doesn't agree with is wearing very thin. And it makes me hate him even more b/c he's making me stick up for Jen... bleh

slutty_whore [TypeKey Profile Page]:

CAJAH... Dustin said in his discussion with Jen that he "felt" Zach was targetting him. Therefore, wouldn't it stand to reason to nominate your biggest threat? Rather, he is both appeasing his alliance (by nominating Kail and Jen in the first place, Nick as the replacement), and alienating them all at one (by not even fighting to keep his nominations the same.) To me, if Dustin was so jazzed about getting them out, he would have fought for the POV, thus making Jameka's promise to Jen worthless. I think Dustin made himself MORE of a target this week and I can't wait to see when the Alliance turns on him.

bonggargler [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Jameka's God picked me to play for Jen goes down as the worst strategy since Sean on Survivors 1st season alphabetical voting.

sparky [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I think Jameka's reason was sincere, but at the same time it's a great way to avoid taking the heat for making an unpopular decision. Another reason she saved Jen, I'm sure, is that she does not feel like she is really in any alliance, and is enjoying screwing with those people (aka Nerd Herd 2).

Amber is SO nasty.

Meanwhile, if Nick goes, Daniele is stuck alone with her father. No wonder she's so upset.

And who is Dustin calling "bitches"?

anniedawg25 [TypeKey Profile Page]:

biancaneve (#4) I agree with what you said.

These HG's are getting on my nerves. I don't understand what strategy/alliance/whatever these people are trying here. Dick was cool for about 1 week, but his constant bitching (at only the women it seems) is getting out of control. He critizes people if they have the balls to ---I don't know---PLAY THE GAME?!?!? Meanwhile, he's playing the game just like those he critizizes. Just not as well!

Jameka and her loyalty to Jen....besides the GOD connection, what is really there? Are they THAT GREAT of friends? In any sort alliance? Even know each other's names?? Is it just me, or did Jameka's promise come out of NOWHERE?

Also, I liked how quickly Amber jumped off the "fag hag free ride" once she realized Jameka had God on her side and would DO ANYTHING to keep a promise. She's moving in on Jameka now, so she can get in on the action.

God I hope Jen gets HOH this week!!!!

cajah [TypeKey Profile Page]:

#26 slutty_whore: why do you presume Dustin is telling the truth to Jen? If Jen is one of his targets, doesn't it stand to reason that he would lie to keep her in the dark?

Also, why wouldn't he want Jameka's stupid strategy (right on #27!) to take the heat off of him? When Jen stays in the house & wreaks havoc later on, the HG's will remember Jameka taking Jen off the block with the POV & blame her instead of Dustin.

Having said all that, I don't think Dustin is a great strategic mastermind. I think he just wanted the trip & the money.

ClariceStarling [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I used to detest Jen, but she is growing on me. I want her to stick around.

However, I want Amber's pussy gone. She is a disgusting piece of trash. And she's a mother! Can you imagine your mom acting like an asshole like that on national tv. I bet that kid is getting her ass reamed on the playground.

And anw821

"I think Dustin showed what he's all about. BYE, greedy bitch!" - I spat out my Diet Pepsi when I read that.
