He offers to take over the undressing of his husband, and Nora's all, "It's nothing I haven't seen before," and Scotty finally gets testy and says, "Well, hopefully it's something that you haven't seen in a long time," and Kevin has just about had enough. He demands that both of them leave him alone, RIGHT NOW. Nora thinks the pain pills are making him grumpy. And boo on Kevin for snapping at Scotty. He is so not the problem here.
Back from commercials and Kevin is dreaming about Julia this time, and this scene is undoubtedly my favorite of the episode because Matthew Rhys? Is hot. And he apparently has chemistry with everyone. Julia comes in to his office and they start making out. She rips his shirt open and then they're on the couch and I think I need a minute. They have more chemistry than her and Tommy have ever had.
Kevin jolts awake and of course, Julia is there and of course, she heard him saying her name. She thinks he was having a nightmare and he's trying to play it off, and then Scotty comes in and Kevin thinks now would be a good time for that shower. Anything to get him away from his hot sister-in-law and his hot husband. Julia tries to help and Kevin totally freaks and limps his way to the bathroom. He's not having a very good day, is he?
Robert's office, where he and Kitty are post-coital, though still mostly clothed. Kitty says that she's missed "this," by which she means the spirited arguing, or "brain sex" as she puts it. And, you know, I saw the arguing, but I don't think I'd qualify it as "brain sex." Of course, now Robert wants to fire Kevin, so that he and Kitty can keep engaging in this so-called "brain sex." They ... need to get off of my screen right now.
Sarah's house, where she is leaving Justin a message and trying to make him feel better about the disastrous show-and-tell incident. She tries to be cheery, but eventually gives up and just tells him she's worried about him. You know, Sarah and Justin is something we hardly ever see and as the oldest and the youngest, I think we need more.
Walker Manor. Nora is trying to take Kevin some lunch when Rodger Grant arrives, despite her insistence that she didn't want to see him. Saul comes in and Nora tries to escape, citing the lunch tray in her arms, but Scotty ruins that when he comes in and informs her that Kevin is taking a shower after all. He then offers to take the tray to the kitchen (because he's lovely, you see), leaving Nora no choice but to meet with Rodger Grant. Saul and Rodger Grant are so pleased, they practically make out on the spot.
Justin is moping in his Jeep outside Walker Manor. He's got the look in his eyes that makes my heart hurt and I can see why Sarah is worried. Kevin has somehow snuck out past Nora and Scotty and asks if he's coming or going, and Justin emos, "I'm going nowhere, dude." And because all of the Walkers are painfully self-absorbed, Kevin completely misses this red flag and demands that Justin take him away. Justin gets very frustrated with Kevin's lack of sneaky skills, what with his not even turning the shower on or remembering to get his medication. "I hate you!" he seethes and then hops out and heads in to cover for his stupid brother.
Inside, Nora is going through all of Rodger Grant's work. You know, I'm not going to lie - this storyline is doing absolutely nothing for me, so let's get this out of the way right now, shall we? Nora doesn't want to work with Rodger Grant because she maybe sort of came onto him like thirty years ago, in the midst of feeling neglected by her awful husband and having a little too much too drink. You'd think the Walkers would have learned to stay away from alcohol by now. Anyway, she can't stand the thought of him remembering her as that pathetic woman and Saul ends up having to tell her that she's not that woman anymore. Like, haven't we dealt with all of this Nora/William drama already? Isn't that what Holly was all about? Sally Field knocks these scenes out of the park, of course, but I feel like we're revisiting plotlines from like Season 1.
Moving on. Justin interrupts their powwow and Rodger Grant has to make a comment about her children living with her and says that it's "interesting." OK, he can leave now.
