Kevin is dreaming again, and this time, he's back in the kitchen and he has a big old pregnant belly. I honestly don't get what that has to do with any of his issues, but OK. Pregnant men are funny, I guess?
Justin has made it upstairs and he's looking for the pills. He turns on the shower, and again, I'm glad saving water is something the Walkers don't have to worry about. Scotty shows up and Justin does something nice and assures him that he shouldn't take Kevin's grumpiness personally. I liked that and I think it shows what a nice guy Justin is. Here he is, in a hurry and in the midst of scheming, but he still takes the time to make Scotty feel better. Good show, kid.
Scotty notices that he's acting squirrelly (because Scotty is not dumb) and asks if Justin is looking for something. "My trumpet!" Justin exclaims, using the first thing he spots in the room and not thinking at all.
Scotty: Oh, you play!
Justin: Um, no.
Scotty: Oh, you used to play growing up.
Justin: ..... no.
Scotty: (thinking) WTF?
Justin gets the hell out of there, telling Scotty to not go in the bathroom, and Scotty just looks after him like, "How did I myself into this?" We know how you feel, Scotty.
Downstairs, Justin finally spots the pills on the lunch tray from earlier and just as he's about to grab them, Nora comes in, bitching about how she will not just sit there and watch Saul flirt with Rodger Grant. I love the interaction between Sally Field and Dave Annable - they're hysterical together.
He thinks quickly and decides that being a douche is the best way to get Kevin his pills without Nora noticing anything is afoot. He tells her that she's way off about Saul and that he needs to tell her something. "It's gossip! I just need you to make sure Saul's not coming in here. It's about him." Nora is downright giddy about the prospect of gossip and when she runs to make sure the coast is clear, Justin snags the pills and pockets them.
Nora literally comes running back in, whispering, "What, what, what?!" Justin realizes that he now sort of has to tell her, so he outs Saul and tells her he already has a boyfriend. Nora: "Whaaaaa? Why didn't he tell me?" Oh, I wonder. Justin starts talking really fast and tells her that she can't tell Saul ("No, I wont.") and that Saul told him on the QT ("Right, right.") and that they need to keep it on the down-low, as the kids say ("Yes, I promise."). He tells her he loves her and kisses her goodbye and she's all, "OK, yeah, love you." Then, she sees the trumpet on the counter. "Why is there a trumpet in here?"
Hahaha. That scene was great.
Justin comes running out of the house, all hunched over like that will make him less visible or something. Kevin informs him that he only brought the antibiotics and that he needs his pain pills. Justin has had it, and tells him, "These will keep you from going septic, unless you want to go back in the house and get them." Kevin whimpers uselessly, but Justin is unwavering: "I'm not going back in there!" They pull out and Kevin positively whines, "Owwww. What's your problem?" Justin is still feeling sorry for himself: "What's not?"
That whole sequence was very funny and entertaining and I think B&S is at its best when they're doing humor.
Walker Manor. More Nora/Rodger Grant drama. He's going on and on about how she's keeping her children there and she bitches that she's not holding them hostage, which is of course Scotty's cue to enter and inform them that Kevin has escaped and that he left a note, but didn't say where he was going. Rodger Grant looks at Nora all pompously and jerky and she bustles out.
