Anyway, while Kevin is assuring Scotty that the problem is not him, he lets it slip about his dreams. Scotty demands to know what these awful dreams could possibly be about, and Kevin admits that they're about Elizabeth. He immediately turns to Tommy and sincerely apologizes and explains that he's just trying to figure things out. Tommy, in turn, immediately goes into asshole mode and refuses to even listen to Kevin when Kevin brings up the fact that he is Elizabeth's biological father. Again, I'm sort of in Tommy's corner on this one, but I totally see why Kevin would be having issues with this. Sarah and Justin, for their part, have identical WTF faces on, with their eyebrows raised into their hairlines. Sarah is also leaning on Justin in such a familiar way that she's practically on his lap. I love little touches like that, that show how comfortable these guys are with each other. Sarah probably took care of Justin a lot when he was a kid and it's nice to see that comfort level. Anyway, Tommy storms out, with Sarah and Justin right behind him.
Walker Manor. Nora is sitting in the pantry, drinking wine and leaving Scotty a drunken voicemail about how next time, she'll let him undress his husband and that she's sorry and she loves him. Heh. Saul comes in and they talk about her hitting on Rodger Grant, which I already told you about. But, she's also upset at the realization that she's a selfish, stubborn, smothering mother. You know, Nora certainly has her bad moments, but I don't know that I'd really call her selfish. Not when it comes to her kids, at least. Saul talks her into taking another meeting with Rodger Grant, and she demands to know about the boyfriend. So much for the QT and the down-low, huh?
At the resort, Kevin is dreaming again, this time about an older Elizabeth and how she's upset after some slumber party. He offers to take her to get ice cream, and for the first time in this episode, he's not upset when he wakes up. Because the dreams were never really about Elizabeth, or Julia, or Tommy. They were about how Kevin wants to be a father and how his being a gay man, and sort of selfish by nature, made him think that that wasn't possible.
Scotty just got the message from Nora and says he'll be making copies for everyone and putting them in their stockings for Christmas. So, is this supposed to be before Christmas, I guess? How did they let their timeline get so screwy?
Robert and Kitty are at home. And nothing new is disclosed in this scene, so I'm ignoring it.
Sarah and Justin are checking out an apartment, which Justin has declared a dump. I don't think it looks that bad, but I guess when you're used to Walker Manor, anything else would seem dumpy. Justin finally mentions his drug problems and how his living alone is kind of what started him on that whole downward spiral. Sarah is honestly looking at him like nothing of that sort had even occurred to her. Have these people not been watching the show?! That's Justin's whole plotline!
"I know you guys want me to let life suck for a bit, but I can't handle it sucking like last time. I can't go through it again!" He should not be having to spell this out for her. She does acknowledge that she can't possibly understand what he's been through, but that if anyone knows how to be brave, it's him. She hugs him. Finally.
Back at the resort, Kevin is reading a contract that Tommy has brought him, that prohibits Kevin from ever telling Elizabeth about the situation. Kevin is obviously upset that Tommy hasn't talked to him about this at all. He tries to tell Tommy what's going on in his head, and Tommy just goes off on him. "What, you want to be her father? That's not going to happen! I'm her FATHER!" Kevin keeps trying to interject, saying that's not what he means and that it doesn't have to be like this, but Tommy declares that he is done and he storms out again.
